I'm with DrStonned. That trailer would've been way better without overdone edgy pop music. Even then it's still pretty generic. She does bad thing but realizes it's bad and then does good thing even though it's bad for her. It's the most basic redemption arc possible. The one where a gingerbread woman gauges Garruk's eye out? Now that's quality.

Sillyraptor posted a message on Is it just me or did Zephrys become dumber?Posted in: General DiscussionI know that they've been updating him to pick up on some more scenarios such as buffing 0 attack minions or weapon removal and all but of the few games that I've gotten to play recently Zephrys has given some strange suggestions.
Game 1) Druid (me) vs Hunter health is equal at about 22 to 21. Hunter has a full board of a 1/1's plus a Hyena with one health and a Masked Contender with 3; I have an empty board and 10 full mana. I was specifically looking for Holy Nova + Hero power to clear the board and was offered a Cabal Shadow Priest, Tirion, and Dread Infernal.
Game 2) Hunter (me) vs Paladin. I was extremely behind this game I had about 10 health Paladin was up at about 26; Paladin is murloc paladin and is dominating the board with a lot of murlocs about 4 of them 3+ Health. I drop Zephrys at 7 mana looking for the brawl to stay alive but instead am offered Holy Nova, Cabal Shadow Priest and Lay on Hands.
Game 3) Warrior (Me) vs Rogue. Pretty even i'm at 29 they're at 23. They have a board of a 4/5 with Taunt, a 1/3 with taunt and a 1/1. I have an 8/7 Siamat on board and 8 mana. I was looking for Fireball so I could clear the 4/5 and keep a pretty big minion alive then armor up but was instead offered Cabal Shadow Priest, Ysera and Sea Giant.
It may just be me but I just feel like these are less than ideal cards for scenarios that I was very clearly looking for a different card.

Live4vrRdieTryn posted a message on Can Someone Tell me Why I play Quest Rogue???Posted in: General DiscussionIt is such insanity... They release like 5-10 half-baked archetypes every expansion and as always only 2 or 3 take off. All the people that were hyped to play a certain deck end up wasting cash, time, dust and gold to try and make them work and 2 months later when it's consolidated that the archetype has no chance go compete with ones that do work (mainly because they are not unfair enough), you have to wait for a whole new expansion to MAYBE get some support for the deck! What always happens is it never does and the broken decks do.
Why is it too much to ask of Blizzard to look at their concept and floundering and instead of ignoring it, give it some love in the form of buffs or a new card to spruce it up??? This is basic logic but instead I have to sit through stale meta after stale meta playing the same damn quest druid and shamans highlander hunter and combo priest nearly every fucking game because people like YOU dont make noise like I am doing right now for Blizzard to shake up the meta. Instead like braindead sheep you play the decks homoginized for you like gutless thoughtless sheep and ruin a game with much more potential for people like me. Astonishing! Incredible! You surprise me how unusual!

RaptorWithWings posted a message on Friendly Fights - Nothing But Rift!Posted in: NewsIt sound like it takes a long time. But with the deck having tons of card draw, it really doesn’t take that many turns to empty out your deck. You can usually get 30 turns each (more or less) of pure uncut nonsense.

RaptorWithWings posted a message on Friendly Fights - Nothing But Rift!Posted in: NewsI can agree with that. I wasn't really having much fun when I was in the High Ranks. Solo Adventures are amazing since you can make impossibly degenerate plays.

Weapon removal is a better tech choice against Secret Mage than Secret removal.

WIld isn't broken just because you dislike the current strongest deck. There will always be top decks that people will gravitate towards, this just means that smart deck building to counter said decks can be very rewarding indeed.

Hi Muddler, sorry for the late reply, glad you're enjoying the deck!
If Big Priest coins Barnes into Y'Shaarj that's near impossible for any deck to deal with unfortunately being the ultimate high roll for that deck.
Kazakus can fetch you 5 or 10 mana polymorph potions. I have had Hex and Polymorph offered from Zephrys as well, the trick is to play him with 4 mana left if possible to increase the chances that one of those two is offered.
Otherwise try to stay ahead on the board without committing too much, find that sweet spot of enough pressure to require a response and thereby stop the Big Priest from doing what they want while keeping back resources to retake the board the following turn after a clear.
Be aware that playing Power of Creation or an Alanna that summons more than 1 dragon if you suspect that the Priest will play Psychic Scream in response will turn off your singleton cards till you draw the duplicates from your deck.
The Eater of Secrets occupies a tech card slot in response to 42% of my match ups being mages. Feel free to swap him for Spellbreaker or Polymorph, though Polymorph weakens Dragon's Fury and Raven Familiar a little. Also Zephyrs can fetch silence, especially if played with 0 mana remaining. Zephyrs is really the go to card for all your needs when in a pickle, great versatility.
I don't stream but I have deck tracker recordings of my matches. Here's one against a Hand Buff Mech Paladin that high rolled :)

Yet the deck is now on HSReplay and out of 430 recorded matches sports a 69.1% winrate, currently the 2nd highest winrate deck from any class or format, only beaten by a variant of secret mage despite I'm sure lots of winnable matches being lost due to misplays since as I admitted it is not an easy deck to pilot.

Sorry busy at the moment :( If I find the time I hope to get around to it.

At the moment it's 37 ranked wins in Legend out of 45 so closer to 82%.
Most of the decks I face aren't board based aggro (so not counting secret mage which is more of a burn deck) due to the prevalence of a lot of strong control decks higher up the ladder. If you see a lot of aggro in your pocket meta, there are better dedicated anti aggro decks to deal with that.
However the deck does have the tools to combat aggro. It's important to play for tempo and not hold anything back. For instance you are happy to play Brann on turn 3 for the body.
Survive to the mid game and Dragon's Fury, Reno and your other removal spells can help you stabilise.

I prefer to draw what's in the deck than discover something random, particularly after playing LPG.

I'm sorry but I'd take you more seriously if you had anything to back up your claims apart from your hearsay. I've piloted this deck extensively to 45 Legend with an 80% winrate, I have the weight of experience and data to backup my opinion, guess I have no clue what I'm talking about! But sure insult me if it makes you feel better :)

Flame Imp has no discard synergy. You already run 2 Malchezaar's and 2 Kobolds in the 1 mana slot and these are preferable as they draw you into more cards since you discard a lot, Flame Imp just runs you out of resources quicker.
Soulwarden is for mid game refuel to get you over the edge in certain games that need it.

Lanathel is a huge threat that also helps in aggro matchups thanks to lifesteal, I've had her attack figure in the double digits often.
Zavas has strong irreplaceable discard synergy. She's a 2 mana Van Cleef when played while also protecting other cards from being discarded because you can discard her multiple times.
So not really, you're better off playing another deck.
