I beat him both on normal and heroic with Rogue using the 2nd deck. Get Recurring Villain, the passive that buffs your minion +1/+1, and the cards that can activate a minion's deathrattle. Now you have sticky minions that spawn immediately after they die.
When you meet Bob, try to buff your Recurring Villian if you didn't get the passive. I always remove Journey Below, and reduce the cost of Violet Haze to zero. Recommeded passive/treasure: The one that summons boomsbot at the start of the game, the one that summons an immune King Mukla, the poisonous weapon, the quad twinspell board clear.
You can even put him and Whizbang in a deck together in a normal deck now, that is how messed up it is. The pop up doesn't come up anymore. It is just a visual bug, pretty much. But it is a bug, still.
Play with your friend so you can chat and have fun. He clears the board, becomes immune, and buffs himself when he reaches 160 and 60 heal respectively.
Not gonna lie, it gets boring and repetitive. Still, far from hate it. It's quite decent.
I got extremely bored last night and completed all the 4 chapters on Heroic with Rogue. I have to reverse my judgement and say I had a blast. It was so much easier than my Dungeon Run runs, but I could feel the Dungeon Run vibe the entire session I played. So, overall good times.
The goal is to make your deck more OP than your opponent [they are pretty unfair to fight] and depend on some good RNGs
- You saw what happened with the introduction of odd/even decks. Odd Rogue was a beast before the cold-blooded nerf, Odd Paladin was still Tier 1 even after Level Up nerf. It saw them being rotated to Wild one year early. If you look at Wild meta right now, with Odd Paladin, Even Warlock, Even Shaman, Odd Warrior up there. This is easily the strongest expansion, IMO.
2. Knights of the Frozen Throne
- Deathknight cards are OP. Some of them like Guldan, Jaina, Rexxar allow you to single-handedly carry the game on your own. The introduction of Shadow Essence, and Eternal Servitude made Big Priest happen. The set also introduced many above average cards that saw a lot of play eg. Cobalt Scalebane, Saronite Chaingang, Bonemare. Not to mention some class cards are also pretty OP.
3. Mean Streets of Gadgetzan
- This one gets a spot for me because of Jade Druid, which was one of the most broken deck at the time. I have nothing against the deck, though. I loved it, it has a nice theme to it, but dang it's OP.
I'm going to roll high and say 5 is minimum. Definitely NOT minimum possible because 2 is. But on an average day, I think this is what the RNG shall grant you.

Just like Big Priest. How atrocious! Resurrection isn't allowed here! D:

Nothing fancy. Pretty much the only cheap win thing I could think of, lol. Won both this and Heroic with these guys.

I think it will be used a lot just like Zilliax. I like Zilliax, but not sure if I can say the same about this card.

My personal favourite is Fal'dorei Strider

I stuck at Warrior for about a year, I think, and it took me 190 bosses. Pray more to the RNG god, friend. Dungeon run is very RNG-based.
and DON'T give up. The dungeon run cardback is IMO one of the most beautiful cardbacks in the game. It's worth it.
