posted a message on Rank 50 - Legend in 16 hours challenge

May I ask how and if you are planing to improve your deck along the way? Do you just plainly grind the ranks, or do you intend to maybe take some time for a tavern brawl/&the first chapter of the dalaran heist? Or do the ranking up rewards of the 50-25 ranks have to be enough?

posted a message on Dalaran Wing 3 Unlocked! Priest & Rogue Heroes Now Available

While I like the adventure, it is way too easy. Took me no effort at all to finish the new chapter and the normal mode seemed while balanced not enough of a challenge. Well, I'll have to try heroic.

posted a message on Dalaran adventure- are stuff locked behind paywall?

As far as I read it: Anomaly mode will be opened if you completed the wings. It isn't behind a paywall.

posted a message on How would you design Tournament Mode?

So back to topic: How could a tournament mode be implemented? I'd say a screen where people can choose some options - presented by "paper"-signs: like wild/standard, fast/normal, 4/8/16/32 Players, ban/no-ban&1Deck/3 Decks, deck restrictions/free decks. So after one choose that, you'd have to pay some small amount of Gold, choose your deck(s)- just enough that you will come back to the actual tournament, like 10,20- and you'd have to wait for a bit, since tournaments start at every half/full hour.

Then the actual tournament: you'd get an invite like if a friend tries to play with you, if you agree, you'll either get into a special tournament screen, where you could ban one of the 3 decks of your opponent-in a ban mode- or directly into your first game. One opponent one game. If you don not show up- disconnect for to long autowin for your opponent.

Between games- which either would be every 20min/or T5 knows when- all the players who don't have a game could chat, or spectate the current games.

In the end, the larger the tournament the higher the price for the better half of the players would be. Like:(-,-,15,25), (-,-,-,-,15,15, 30, 50), (8*0, 4*25, 50, 1Pack)...

For deck restrictions: here there would be quite a lot of possibilitys, probably a good reason why this game mode never happened: Budget: Only 3000/6000/9000 Dust/Deck; Expansions: Only decks that were in standard in the year of the Mammoth/Raven/Kraken...; One class only; all classes expect one; only players from a certain rank up... Since there are so many possible deck restrictions, maybe only budget/all decks would be normal, the other restrictions would possible rotate into play one each week.

If there aren't enough players, everyone gets an invite to a similar tournament, or people can choose to drop out with their Gold- or the group plays a tournament with a smaller number of participants.

So, would people be interested in this kind of tournaments?

posted a message on Nerfs are not the solution- Buffs are.

While buffs pose a danger of powercreep, forcing players always to have large amounts of the newest cards/often craft new ones- it should be considered in a few exeptional cases. But I really think nerfs are the better tool to keep classes in check.

If a class has winrates well below 45% with all decks, some class cards -a somewhat random selection- could gain in strenght. Maybe just temporally, Blizzard publishes a few lines of story, like how Madam Lazul manages to buff this 4 cards with stolen manaelementals, and with the next rotation the buffs might vanish - again explained with some lines of story.

Another case where buffs should (carefully) be considered: class identity. Didn't Blizzard want to enforce this? If a certain aspect of class identity isn't shown in the meta at all, like ramp for druid, one card displaying this could be buffed. Not to make a new T1 deck possible, but just enough that some people will consider the card.

Third case: Lore. If a card displayes a character out of WoW, that many remember as strong, it should also be playable in Hearthstone. Especially if it comes from the classic set. Few classic legendarys see meta defining play, even though this set should be the backbone of the game.

Tldr; in some cases, to preserve class identity, help a class without any metadecks, or for iconic cards from the classic set, buffs should be considered.

Just 3 days ago, I started at Rank 15, one Star, and with a wild Odd Paladin I won 13 consecutive Games, and in the span of two hours reached rank 8 before losing the first time.

I'd swap one Waggle Pick and Archivist Elysanne for an Academic Espionage and a spectral Cutlass. So, for the endgame you could play Espionage-Rogue.

What grinds my gears is noobs win I go on 100% pure luck when I had every right to win based off my plays.  Sure I fuck upnfrom time to time, but 7x topdecking noobs for a win they were way behind in us so infuriating.  Oh well

Nobody is surprised by such angry posts:

it has become normal to rage about certain themes, people are just enforcing stereotypes here. Everyone may hate upon big priests, whiny FTPs, arrogant PTWs, and doubting Team 5's decisions is open for all.  So, while salty posts and threads are often more interesting to read, they also make you more perceptive to faults. If you didn't knew "Netdecking is evil" you might see netdecks as a fair choice, the natural outcome of a deck-evolution. So, with enforced stereotypes and complete anonymity you return here an write what hundreds of others wrote before, which is just the following of a salty culture here.

    T3 Blink Fox

    T4: 2x this

(And in Wild this card buffs Shaku, the Collector.)

How so? In my Experience, Shaku is mostly worse than Blink Fox. You mean better stats for the same mana?
