The Sorcerer's Apprentice nerf was needed, but I'm hoping there will at least be some dust compensation for cards like Mozaki and Antonidas that depended directly it. You can even make an argument for Open the Waygate and I'm sure other cards I haven't thought off
Playing as Highlander Shaman vs Highlander Shaman in Wild. Opponent is playing quest version and I'm not. I play Grizzled Wizard into Grumble when opponent has quest at 5/6 completion. Opponent plays a Battlecry minion, then concedes! Quest stolen!
On the meme side of things, you could get this guy buffed infinitely with an empty deck, a couple Kingsbanes, and Blackwater Pirate (discounts weapons by 2). Of course you would want immediate face damage; Mr. Smite could help with that with some mana discounts (e.g. Potion of Illusion). Animations may take a while though
Very nice idea. When I first saw the title my first guess at what you might propose was the original Zephrys the Great concept where you could pick any card you wanted from your collection (like a librarian would help you find a book).
I love the fact that there are NO rewards from this mode concerning the NORMAL Hearthstone game. I do not play Battlegrounds, Duels or Arena and I love that fact that I am NOT missing on something that I could use in the normal Hearthstone Wild or Standard play.
What's your source for saying there are "no rewards from this mode concerning the normal Hearthstone game"? If XP is gained in Mercs (pretty sure it is), then it would have an impact on the reward track, and therefore "normal" Hearthstone. Would be interested if anyone knows more details about the interactions with the current XP/gold economy.
The issue I experienced in a recent game (after the mercenary announcement and patch) on PC is that I couldn't interact with any cards.
I was able to play them and attack with minions at the start of the game and noticed that the cards weren't really responding to my mouse movements (my mouse is fine). Eventually I couldn't play cards or cause minions to attack. The game wasn't crashed because I could still see the opponent hovering and I could emote (looked like the opponent was responding to the emotes as well) while the card I had last tried to play was frozen on screen. I just conceded and rebooted the game and it's fine now, but it would be nice to know what the cause is if possible to avoid unexpected losses.
I'd also be interested if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I couldn't find much info elsewhere, but maybe it's a bug with the latest patch? So far I haven't been able to reproduce the issue.

Is there any compensation if a run expires?

Am I correct in assuming that Rune of the Archmage will not be affected by Sorcerer's Apprentice?

Although Grey Sage Parrot can already do this, worth noting that this can also recast Time Warp!

"Now... is no time at all" - Thanos
Nice deck!

Agreed. I'm assuming Deeprun Engineer will be able to discover this as well, which would be a nice buff, even though it is already quite strong

General consensus on this card seems to be "good, but boring". I agree

What are the XP/gold rewards for this game mode?

If you get a win, I say give back to the community and concede a game
