After yesterday's patch I am curious is jade druid still popular? Are they still viable and used a lot? I haven't played since sunday so I am trying to figure out what I should expect after the patch.
Likewise are pirate warriors still strong after the axe nerf?
This season seems soooo impossible for me to climb in. I started the season with cheat priest (big priest), instantly got to rank 15. Started losing at rank 15 quite a bit so I changed up to Jade druid. Climbed instantly to rank 11 4 stars, then lost all the way back down to 14. Not all at once but gradually. Changed it up again to secret mage and climbed back to 11. But fell back to 14.
Usually I finish a season around rank 5 no problem. But this season I cannot seem to climb for the life of me. If I play jade druid I run into evolve shaman and super aggro pirate warrior. If I play cheat priest I face nothing but jade druid, if I play secret mage I get a whole gambit of decks that kill me.
What is a good deck for climbing with this season?
I want to try Jade druid before innervate is nerfed. But I do not have Malfurion the pestulent or whatever the Druid DK card is... Will Jade still work well without this card? Or is it way to staple to exclude. If I can exclude it what would be a good substitute?
Is it POSSIBLE to death grip a DK hero from your opponent? I know they can be copied stolen by other means. But Death Grip is minon specific and STEALS it out right. not to mention DK heroes can't be counterspelled or mana binded. So I wonder if you could death grip as if they were a minnion much like jaraxsus.
To add to this... I get that low ranks are kind of weird and unstable as far as meta goes. But if you want to climb with this deck RELIABLY start at rank 10.
To add the 2 mind blasts you would have to lose some other cards. Not impossible to fit in, but it makes the deck a gimmick within an already gimmicked deck.
Without getting to in-depth I made some changes to the deck. I feel the deck benefits from Free From Amber, it fits the theme so well it's insane. It's a spell and the creature it gives will almost always work with Eternal Servitude nicely. Not only that but it allows for more late game answers to the board. Plus it's another spell to discover a copy of from Shadow Visions. With all the synergies for the card in the deck it seems silly not to run at least 1.
Alternately I am thinking of trying to find a space for Cabal Shadow Priest, into the deck as there seems to be a lot of 2 attack minions in the meta that are rather strong. Alley Armorsmith jumps to mind right off the bat. Also when combo'd with Pint-Size Potion, it's easy to steal anything 5 attack of lower. I haven't found a good fit for it yet though. It could replace a Devour Mind, or even the second Dragonfire Potion.
I am subbing Yogg with a Cabalist's Tome. I feel this gives me more answers to the board or burst burn to the face. Pyro is good but I frequently get pyro from the tome and other answers like Flamestrike not to mention a high chance at another secret. I feel the tome works well into this deck more so than yogg or a straight Pyroblast.
Since I just started playing this season and I am at rank 20 I thought I'd give this deck a chance....
I would not suggest this deck.. The win conditions are lacking in a huge way. Played 5 games and lost 4. The only deck I won against was a rank 21 shaman using only basic cards. This deck has a lot to be desired and there are better versions of it out there currently.
Someone said that 600$ a year from one person doesn't begin to put a dent in the cost of blizzard servers. He is probably correct, and if there were only 1 person in the entire world playing their games, that would mean something.
Look Blizzard is PRINTING money with Hearthstone, it's not a huge secret they make loads of money with just that 1 title. Take that and you figure they're making a pretty hefty sum off of Heroes of the Storm, and they still have WoW subs (5 million) that will buy every new expansion (2-3 a year) at 40$ per expansion. They have money enough to have MORE top of the line servers allowing the load to be spread across more servers, and insuring more stability. Like someone said they keep costs as low as possible to keep profit higher. As a business practice it's sound, but when you're dealing with such a big audience with your business like Blizzard is. Customer satisfaction needs to be valued more then what you spend on servers in a year.

I feel like this deck only works if exact certain requirements are met. I am glad I am at rank 10 because otherwise I would be 15 by now.
This deck doesn't seem to keep up in the meta all that well. IMO

Looking to craft 3 legendaries from the new expansion. Which legendaries are slated to be MUST haves in this set. Besides C'thun.
I already pulled the Shaman legendary and a Yogg. So what other cards are MUST HAVES?
I was thinking Shifter Zerus for one but seems way to RNG and way to slow.
