I know several seasons ago Ice Giant mage was really strong.  In fact it was played in plenty of tournaments. But the meta has shifted and changed a few times since it reined supreme. So I am wondering, how viable is ice giant mage in the current season/meta?

It was a fun deck to play and would be awesome if one could climb ladder with it again.  Any info you can give or insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

For warrior I don't get a lot of your choices in this deck.  Young priestess isn't a really strong card in a warrior deck IMO.  For warrior decks cards that synergize well with each other such as Frothing Berserker with acolyte of pain and a armorsmith on the board.  Drop a whirlwind, that 1 damage will synergize with every single creature giving you: 1 card, 3 armor, and a minimum of 3 damage on your Frothing.

A lot of this deck seems like a rough warlock rush deck with warrior cards in it.  What is your win rate with this deck?

I've one like 5 out of 30 games w/ this deck. I don't want to give up on it because if 400 people are saying it's a good deck I want to give it a shot. But no matter how I play it I can only hold control up to a point then the deck seems to sputter out on options to hold that late game control.

This deck seriously lost to a Pirate Paladin deck.  That's with me getting the perfect mulligan hand and everything.  Think about that; Pirate paladin aggro... Shouldn't even be a thing but somehow.. it is and this deck didn't even have control, even when it appeared it had it, it didn't..

ok look this deck might be good for some. But If I am on turn 20 against a priest and this deck hasn't forced him to ever fall below 5 cards in his hands while I am currently out of cards and he's still easily able to clear my last few baddies (azure drake, Argent commander w/ Divine shield, etc..)  Then this deck isn't what you all are saying it is.  I keep the board control like I am suppose to most the game, but as I has said previously this deck CANNOT hold control for longer then what?  turn 11 or 12?  Then it's just a gradual slide.

You can say Oh Priest are a problem for this deck, but I have found that this deck gets rolled by Shamans, and certain mages as well.  Not to mention a typical druid deck will stomp this deck. Over half the deck types in the game will beat this tempo warrior deck.  Sure it's fun to play until turn 11 or 12 when your opponent lives past that and flips the tables on you and punches your teeth down your throat, it gets to be pretty fucking silly.

I don't know how else to play it. I am a fairly good player but this deck just fails for me.

Ok I have tested this deck over the course of 25 games.  I have to say if you took this to 50th legendary rank you are either lying or you played the worst people in the game.

I won 6 out of 25 games.  This deck has GREAT value creatures and they trade well, EXTREMELY well in some situations.  The deck trades well and you get a lot of value from the cards in the deck.... Early game.  Then mid game comes and that value starts to mean less and less.  The deck needs an argent defender in it at least 1.  The lack of taunts means anything and everything you do not trade off the board the round it comes out you will take it to the face.

If you face a deck that is taunt heavy (say druid), your value cards don't mean much after the 5th 5+ health taunt hits the board and you have already traded execute and some other spells to clear the ones before.  The biggest creature in this deck comes in at a whole 4/4 drake.  Unless you count the axe that's 5/2.

The 2 4/4 drakes are almost ALWAYS taken care of the turn they come down which means instead of getting to have a 4/4 that lets you draw a card and gives you spell damage, you rarely get to use the spell damage aspect or the 4/4 to trade with.  You get a 5 mana draw card spell at the end of the day. I added a Leroy in place of a 2nd argent commander for some finishing power.  But honestly it's still not as good it could be.

The deck boasts a lot of card draw, and that's great.  But due to the above issues with the deck you can draw every card and still get countered every step of the way.  A couple of my games I had a coldlight seer played by the opponent, giving me even more card draw and still didn't matter.  Ultimately the hardest part of this deck is not having any sort of "meat" to hide behind and soak a few hits while you drive that last 12 damage into the enemy's face.

This is just my review of the deck and I think it doesn't work until you're rank 7 at least, lower level players tend to play with a lot of taunt and a lot of removal.  So I will climb my rank back to 5 then run this deck but at rank 10 it just wasn't cutting it for me at all.

This deck has no REAL power behind it. Early game you can SORT OF keep the board control but it slips away quickly. And by mid game ANY Mid range deck will quickly seize control and you'll be left grasping for moves to prolong then inevitable. I don't know I don't think depending on 2 5/5 stealth and a 6/2 charge is enough to win you a game in most cases.

I did read the title.  Did you? "

    "Stranglethorn Druid (Top 50+Legend)"

Top 50 legend deck.. Meaning not only is it legendary it is in the to 50 of all legendary players.  So if it can beat legendary decks then lower decks like level 10 should be no problem for it.

Is the one combo in this deck really capable of climbing the ladder to legendary and beyond though?
