Note: You must control at least one of the specified tribe before Tribal is triggered. Clarification in the spoiler.

You are able to play a Tribal: Murloc card on this board:

You cannot play a Tribal: Murloc card on any of these boards.

Case 1: There is no tribe on the board.

Case 2: There is a minion not of the specified tribe on the board.

Case 3: There is a murloc but also a non-murloc minion, so tribal does not trigger.

All these cards are slightly above-curve, because Tribal is really a drawback that encourages tribal decks, to the exclusion of other minions.

Vengeful drake is the simplest Tribal minion, being of the same tribe as its trigger and having a pretty simple effect. It casts dragon's breath!

Murloc Scallywag is an interesting case, where its tribe is different to its trigger, so playing it stops you from using other Tribal cards until it dies.

Goldrinn is very cool, as the opponent can play around the Charge damage by clearing all the beasts the druid has every turn. It is also not a beast itself, as Goldrinn is an ancient, a being well above simply a beast.

Tribal could also be put on spells, weapons etc. but I decided to stick with minions for this competition.

    Edit: Card sizes.

posted a message on Adventure Creation Competition - [PHASE I SUBMISSION]

    Khadgar's Quest!

Greeting's Adventurer! Khadgar here, I hear you're quite the champion among your faction. Well, I just happened to come across some information pertaining to a POWERFUL ARTEFACT of UNIMAGINABLE PROPORTIONS (it's the legendary ring)! Come with me as we conquer the threats to Draenor and collect the necessary pieces to create your ring! From the dungeons guarded by the Iron Horde, the Botani or the Arakkoa to Hellfire Citadel itself where we will confront the Legion head on. Remember, at the end of it all you'll have a sweet new ring (it'll only be a few thousand apexis crystals, some 900 fragments and a few books). So let's conquer Draenor for glory, for justice and FOR LOOT! (The best part of this adventure will be the banter between Khadgar and the bosses.)

Our final enemy will be ARCHIMONDE HIMSELF (I mean we already beat him in the burning cru-) I said ARCHIMONDE HIMSELF!

    Archimonde

This fight will be a full recreation of the Warlord's of Draenor final boss fight, Archimonde. It consists of three phases, or four on heroic. The hero power deals one damage to a minion and gives the minion a green fel flame effect. This synergises with the spell Allure of Flames (in spoiler) that deals 1 damage to a minion for each fel flame on the field and removes all fel flames. Later on, at certain damage points, phase II will consist of dealing with dreadstalkers and attacking mechanics, and during phase III infernals will constantly be being summoned and constant board clears will be taking place. This fight should feel as difficult as Kel'thuzad.

When Archimonde hits 40 Health, he summons 3 Dreadstalkers and stops using his hero power becomes: Summon a dreadstalker.

When Archimonde hits 15 health, his hero power becomes: Deal 3 damage to all enemy minions then summon an Infernal. He also gains access to Banish:

This is a super basic overview of the fight, and it gets harder in heroic where there's an extra phase!

     The three cards:

The adventure has a prologue misson where you travel to Skyreach to get the rare ring that will the base for our legendary ring. This is the card that drops from this free prologue boss.

This is gained in the first wing of the adventure when you loot the Core of Life for your ring from the Everbloom Boss.

This is the final boss of the first wing, Teron'gor! You loot the Corrupted Blood of Teron'gor here to complete your epic ring.

I hope you like Khadgar's Quest! Upvote the post so that we can see the continutation of your epic adventure towards a legendary ring!

posted a message on Midrange Dragon Shaman

    Hey guys,

This is my dragon shaman deck. I lost 5 times from 13 - 5. This was, however before people figured out zoo was good.

You can still beat aggro decks if you get a sick opening, but if you lose board control it can be hard to get back into the game.

The healing wave is the only card I don't know about, it's changed a lot since the deck's inception.

I know the card is trash and would probably never see play unless a crazy mech was popular in every deck (oh wait...), I just saw the art and loved the idea of a card being torn apart into scrap by murlocs.

I really like the 4/2 health stat line but its criminally underused because, well, 2 health is really bad, but it makes the card interesting in the mirror match. Especially considering priest could PW:S on this to make a pretty hardy board along with other low attack minions.

Similar to Mind Vision, except that you see three cards in your opponent's hand. If they only have one or two cards, you will see three or two copies of the same card to discover.

    FUUUUUUSSIIIIIOOOOONNNNN!

This card is in the same vain as Golden Monkey. You either wait all game to play it or you forego the combo for two nice bodies that do nothing. Compared to other combos like Force of Nature + Savage Roar and Everyfin' is Awesome, this seems fairly balanced.

If you click the deck and go there I've already suggested that against control. This list is designed to beat the aggro I was facing, and the totem golems are pretty good for getting early board control anyway, plus more value from The Mistcaller than the scarab.

EDIT: Added my deck description to the top post.

If you don't have Gormok the Impaler I would go for something like another fireguard. The 4-cost is actually very valuable to combo with Brann Bronzebeard or Rumbling Elemental. Otherwise I would craft it, it's REALLY good in Shaman.

I've been having great success with this deck. If you have LoE you might want to check it out.

After playing around with Tunnel Trogg and overload, I was underwhelmed. However, it turns out the old shaman had enough battlecries that Brann was enough to push it over the edge, currently running really well against both aggro and control decks.

This deck works without Brann to be honest, don't expect to get more than 1 or 2 battlecries doubled, but when you do, OH BABY the value.

I'm still messing around with the early curve. If you see more control swap out a totem golem for a scarab. If the aggro is overwhelming switch out a hex for a doggies.

The deck is played basically the same as old shaman decks were. Don't wait for Brann to go crazy. Just keep playing normally and if you see an opportunity go for it. I'll write up a full guide if people are interested.

Not going to lie, this can roll over opponents but plain midrange hunter is just better in most matchups right now.

I played 20 games with this deck and it doesn't even have a positive win rate for me. Not seeing it.

posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #36 - Submission Topic. [CLOSED]

I'm usually in favor of more simple cards but I had this idea and just ran with it.

With a new wow expansion you trade in your epic raiding gear for question greens and dungeon blues, thus this card came to be.

For an example, if you have Dr. Boom in had, it could become a ravenholt assassin. Note that the new cards can be from any class. Where there is no rare card (molten giant etc.) nothing happens.

More to delay big minions than anything else. If they play a small minion first it might not go off, continuing to cause a problem.

     Azurous, the blue dragon.

As with all blue dragons, it was immune to many spells and crows control effects, and cast Frost Breath.
