After reading the comments you people should definitely stick with HS. Don't ruin gwent like you did with this game.

user-9358993 posted a message on Into the Fray (Custom Expansion - Warrior,Mage, Warlock)Posted in: Fan CreationsHello, everyone. I'm currently working on a custom expansion, focused mostly on providing new tools for general use and arena. It also has some new mechanics (the one seen here being Armored (Takes 1 less damage from attacks)).
I'm posting it one class at a time, starting with warrior. I'm eager to hearing any feedback, may it be positive or negative.
Edit: Mage and Warlock has been added
Warrior
Common
Notes
Improvised Weapon: A very simple weapon, nothing special to say here. It does however go great with buffs.
Reckless Charger: A great, simple control minion, 2 Health not only makes it able to survive 1 damage, it also makes it buffable with Inner Rage.
Armored Orc: Another simple minion, it's a high priority to kill as an aggro deck, since it gives you quite a lot of armor over time.
Durotan Footman: Yet another simple but effective minion, great against smaller minions.
Armored Shieldmaster: A lategame minion for newer players or even fatigue decks, very slow however it can pay off immensly.
Rare
Notes
Raise Shields: A great tool for control decks, it will usualy get around 3-5 armor, however if you're lucky and draw a Molten Giant, you're set for the game. Risky to use so it's best in decks with a lot of minions, expecialy expensive ones.
Undying Rage: A more expensive version of Inner Rage, can also be used as a removal when neccessary.
Ancient Blademaster: Best used with something like Gorehowl or Hellreaver, however it can also be used as a tempo play if you have a Fiery Waraxe equipped. Will at average be something like a 4/7, however it can't always be played.
Theramore Guard: One of the most defensive minions in the game, great against aggro decks due to Taunt and other decks due to the card advantage it gives you.
Epic
Notes
Impale: A great removal against expensive minions, however it's weak against high health minions.
Hellreaver: Shield Slam's best buddy, best used in control fatigue decks, where you're likely to have a lot of armor. It's likely to get lower value than Gorehowl, however it's costed at almost half less. Bad against aggro decks though, since you probably won't have many armor.
Dino Rider: A tech card for dragon decks that is decent even on it's own. A bit of a power creep on Reckless Rocketeer but since that card is terrible and it's a class card, it's reasonable. And btw, who doesn't want to see Deathwing with charge?
Legendary
Notes
High Overlord Saurfang: A very expensive legendary minion with a huge benefit. Makes it very easy to clear the board, however due to high cost it's not to terribly to play against as an aggro deck. Requires quite a bit of coordination too, so it's best to have a weapon equiped beforehand since it's not very likely to stick due to low health.

Marshmeow posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #4.19 - Discussion TopicPosted in: Fan CreationsI have made some changes following the criticism.
- Isn't limited to minions, spells or cards. Hero Powers, remaining cards in your deck, etc. , are all possible.
- The condition is mandatory. If the condition can't be met then the minion can't be played.

Well, that's a shame. But whatever I'll try my chances.Oh and which is better? -

ShadowsOfSense posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #4.19 - Discussion TopicPosted in: Fan Creations@nurgling13: I really like this concept, but it's very tricky to make sure you balance it right. I think False Prophet and Faceless Assassin are both balanced, but I dislike how Faceless Assassin has to be worded. Feels very clunky. I understand it, just don't like it aesthetically. I like Surprise Sentry the most of the other three, as it encourages playing around with actual Alarm-o-Bots as well, which is cool.
@Marshmeow: We very recently did a competition with this exact keyword, so I'm not sure people will take to it very well.
@Anderthemage: A cool concept, but I'd have to see more cards to get an idea of how interesting the mechanic is.
Updated two of my cards to hopefully make them a little more balanced. As a reminder, my keyword is:
So if this is the second (or even third or fourth) copy of a card with Echo that you've played this game, it's Echo effect will activate, like Combo would. I picked each card below for a specific reason, but there's other design space I could work with if people aren't as interested in these cards.
Dwarven Researcher: A simple spell searcher for any class which is quite weak by itself, but when played again gives you two spells. This also synergises with other Echo cards in a way, as if you Discovered a spell with Echo, you wouldn't need to already be running one for its Echo effect to be activateable.
Multiplython: A simple 3/3 Beast when first played, but the second copy gives you much more value. Mostly done because of the name I could give it, but it also demonstrates how simple Echo could be, not needing to be a hugely complex idea.
Wetland Wildcaller: Comparable to Dreadsteed in terms of power, I think that having to replay it is a fair trade off for how much continuous value you can get from it, making sure you don't run out of steam in the later stages of a game.
I think I'm probably gonna go with these as my submission, but any feedback would be great. Is there a particular one that you don't like, or one that you think is unbalanced?

AndertheMage posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #4.19 - Discussion TopicUnlucky: Random effects target these minions first
So if this was on your board and your opponent played Arcane Missiles all three missiles would hit the knight
If you have two of them on board the missiles will hit the two of them randomly as the only targets that can be hit
If it dies over the course of the missiles, the missiles will go on as normal

CraftyRaf posted a message on Heroic Brawl - Tavern Brawl #75Posted in: Tavern BrawlI made a Monte Carlo simulation. I simulated 100.000 games with players of equal strength (50% winning chance each game).
Result: Each player has to pay 1.000 gold to win on average 4.38 packs (= 438 gold), 107 dust, 107 gold and 0.04 legendary (= 119 dust).
Wait what?! Pay 1.000 gold to win 545 gold and 226 dust on average?!
Another nice-to-know: Only people that make 7 or more wins will win more than they paid. But that's only 9.2% of all players...
So... Nice try Blizzard, but I will save my gold for something else :-)
