They do tend to borrow some other mechanics! This Wurm is a good example, another recent one is the "Can't Attack Unless.." mechanic that we see on the Druid taunt from this set. Plenty of MTG cards have various limiting attack conditions. One of the more famous ones, too, is the new Darkness neutral legendary. This card inherits the style of Dark Depths, a famous land (mana producer), which does nothing on the field until it is fed enough mana (instead of candle cards), or otherwise cheesed into activation, and which summons a 20/20 immediately when activated. As an MTG veteran, I'm more than happy to see them learning from this titan of a card game. :D
I'd say this sort of thing absolutely needs Baron Geddon, his sustain can bring you back from the brink if you've gotten to Jaina a bit too late, and he either eats a removal or makes it easier for you to make the beefy Water Elementals we all love; I've also had LOADS more success with Sindragosa than with The Lich King. LK is fantastic, but he dies to just as much as Sindragosa, and The Black Knight besides, and you're almost always guaranteed two random "goodstuff" cards barring wasteful uses of Potion of Madness or silences. Not to mention that you can garner fresh Water Elementals in the bargain if you've already pulled Jaina, and like LK she curves into Jaina. Just some musings, both are powerful cards. But Geddon? Must-have.
I think this is probably too slow to be really meta-defining, I mean the weapon and armor is nice and all but 9 mana is a lot for not winning the game or really stabilise like for a Tirion would in most cases.
I'd say in a Control Paladin setup (which has gotten plenty of intriguing toys lately) this will be easy to drop and keep swingin'. Mrgladin Midrange has had a ton of success this past meta and even that deck reaches Turn 10 and beyond regularly, AND WINS.
What if you managed to give this Lifesteal? Is that an infinite kill chain?
No, I think they fixed that mechanic
I heard about them fixing it anyway.
Ohh I see, well if they fixed it then this won't occur, kind of like they "fixed" Dreadsteed with Defile, but it might be that there's just zero way to actually give this Lifesteal in Paladin. I'd say a full board-clear combo would be loads of fun though if we can pull it off!
Curious, why make this a Highlander deck? I'd love to play this, but I question if it's trying to be too much. Is the power of Kazakus/Raza enough to justify Highlander and the Deathrattle theme combined? Just wondering about your thoughts. :)
EDIT: I'm realizing now that Amara is basically a better Reno Jackson. Perhaps this will work really well!

I'm gonna call it now, this is going to find a nice, cozy place in Rogue. It works well with Shadowstep and Shadowdancer, same as our Spider-friend.
Much, much more than Playable.

WOW. It's YES'thun.

Intriguing! The first solid "Thief Rogue" card I've seen in a while.

This little troll is the result of 4chan's meddling. DO NOT CRAFT.

@asteroidm
Because if it deals damage, that heals your hero. Whenever your hero is healed, this deals damage. Repeat.
