Weavy posted a message on Alliestrasza and Lt. Eddy Cancel Card Reveals over Blizzard Allegations and Law Suit - Trump TooPosted in: NewsLook at the allegations man.
If they wanted attention, they'd get it by doing the card reveals.
NOBODY. FUCKING NOBODY should be accused of "virtue signalling" for deciding not to associate themselves with a company being accused of harassing someone to suicide. -

Drizzle33 posted a message on Alliestrasza and Lt. Eddy Cancel Card Reveals over Blizzard Allegations and Law Suit - Trump TooPosted in: NewsSo you want somebody to stop supporting something that's been the cause of their livelihood in order to "truly" support the issue? You can still play a game and/or support a part of a company while vilifying heinous acts from other individuals in said company and showing support to those affected. You don't have to completely cut all ties with them in order to make your support and more or less valid.

Just look at the allegations against Blizzard. This is some seriously messed up shit.
Even if it was for the fans, who would want to associate themselves with Blizzard after this has been brought to light? -

Creative way to show their respect and support to the vicitims. But what else can the community do (besides boycotting)?
Everyone in Hearthstone and the community will notice this and taking some thoughts about this is the least everyone of us can do!
To everyone who cries about the missing reveal: pls.

NewBorn posted a message on Make PvE count towards daily/weekly quests unless specifically PvPPosted in: General DiscussionThere is at least two quests that has "Any Mode" that you can use PVE content to complete.
Win 5 games in any mode. 1500 XP Win 2 games in any mode. 900 XP I am very happy that they switched from "Win X Games with X Class" to "Play X Games with X Class". That way you just have to try a class even if you don't have a good deck.

Unthahorsten posted a message on How I would fix DuelsPosted in: General DiscussionYou are right guys, this (building your deck) was the most disappointing thing for me from the very beginning. Fix this and I'll give it chance one more time. No way I'd play constructed 2.0 with some random Tavern Brawl twists.

HatShapedHat posted a message on How I would fix DuelsPosted in: General DiscussionAny fix for Duels has to begin with removing the dumb stipulation of working with cards you own for your starting deck - at least for casual mode.
From there I think you can tailor the experience to be more fun and interactive by balancing treasures and cards because as it stands, the game mode simply is not fun if your goal is to play somewhat competitively. There are too many games which are decided by 'magic bullet' cards which take a steaming dump on any strategy and style of play.

TheFrogmaster posted a message on How I would fix DuelsPosted in: General DiscussionThanks HMcCool - Well thought-out post, and good follow-up discussion.
I would add one more item :
6: Remove constructed deckbuilding - While I understand the appeal of a mode that combines constructed deckbuilding with semi-random card selection, this mode adds significant barriers for casual players. 1) To be competitive, players have to have a wide (and expensive) assortment of wild cards across several classes. 2) Players have to spend the mental energy outside of play time constructing multiple different constructed decks for multiple classes that can change as new cards are added. I LOVED the single player dungeon runs and would play Duels more than any other mode if the constructed piece was removed. I believe that the main reason the constructed portion exists is to monetize the mode by having players need to acquire cards, but the game mode would really take off if they removed the constructed portion and made it more accessible to casual play.

Sparkles card back is the only monthly back in HS history that I missed earning...pretty happy to snag this one for Gold.

If it's a "shit mode" why would you want to play it, even if free?
FWIW I think it's great, and also free enough (gold).

At first glance it sounded cool and exciting but from a balance perspective I don't see this being very fun at all. Seems they chose the sets based on the 'evil' theme and not any sort of balance or competitive or even 'fun' (based on the cards themselves, again this seems to all go off of theme) considerations. MSG was a shit show and it comes back.
Maybe the bucketing system will sort out this but I doubt it. I wouldn't care so much if it weren't for the fact that Blizz just now seemed to have figured out Arena balance and it's all going out the tavern door.
As a committed Arena player (I only do constructed for quests and previously for Golden wins) I'll stay in Arena and adjust, but it's a bit sad because it's going to be quite a fall from where we are now.

Treasure From Below - upgraded with Deathrattle your cards in your hand cost (2) less
Sharktoothed Harpooner - 2 Mana 4,3 battlecry reduce card cost that did not start in by (2)
Raging Contender - 6 Mana 8,4 Rush, Deathrattle fill board with random Pirates
For the buckets I did one or two from Burgle, one or two from Aggressive Tactics, one or two from Weapons, one from Tricks of the Trade and otherwise went for small minions (Pirates and Misfits) so that I could keep dumping my hand and avoid overdrawing. Did not touch Battlecry, Deathrattle, For the Money, or Bounce. Was a very, very easy run (no real close calls), and my first victory after almost 100 teams defeated. Final boss was Paladin with the Divine Shield shrine.
