Yes, the card was deemed so strong (and for good reason) they actually removed it from drafting pool. Same with Faceless Summoner for example, which is back as well, but at least not as common as Abyssal.
Incorrect. The card was never banned (as long it was in an Arena-legal set), but it did have its occurrence rate cut by 50% in February 2017, along with Flamestrike.
Although Arena now contains some Wild sets, it is not Wild. It has cards from Basic, Classic, Naxxramas, Mean Streets, Old Gods, Witchwood, and Rise of Shadows.
Also, what does the Arena card availability have to do with your constructed collection? Are you just salty that the cards won't show up as golden in Arena anymore?
1. It is definitely not pay-to-win. Play your dailies, tavern brawl every week, and you'll be fine to build one or two tier one decks. If you really want to progress however, while staying FTP, get good at Arena.
2. I have 14680 gold as of today and over 22000 dust, completely FTP. It's not difficult, just requires playing regularly and playing a good bit of Arena to get packs rather than buying packs. As long as you are reasonably good, Arena is always a more cost effective way to get packs.
Well played Odd Warrior destroys Big Priest, barring an insane multiple Rag or Y'Shaarj start. I've won games where my opponent had double Rag on turn 6. You have to be smart with your removal, save a couple Brawl/Reckless Flurry to answer their spellstones, and prepare to win in fatigue. Supercollider is insane, and many people are terrible at playing around it. My current list also plays Tinkmaster as an additional removal/res pool disruptor.
I think it's a really good indicator of how small the sample size for the Wild report is that it's only showing a 41% winrate for Odd Warrior vs. Big Priest. After seeing the data last report, I signed up to contribute my data as well, but clearly I didn't have enough influence...
However, it absolutely made my day when my monthly Hearthstone performance email from Blizzard included the stat "You have an 81.8% win percentage vs. Priest in Wild."
Correct. If you don't own the card at all, crafting the golden version is the best bet. It will effectively be free, and then you'll either have the golden version to play with or you can disenchant it for more dust.
Actually you profit zero, the 1600 dust "profit" is just the 1600 you would have received for your previously owned non-golden copy anyway.
As has been said many times before (including in this thread) the only profit to be made from crafting golden copies of cards you already own is with golden commons.
why not run tinkmaster though, or even just sylvanas? both are great tech cards against big priest and reno decks. I myself play renolock and have noticed that after i put tinkmaster into my deck, my winrate has gone up by 20 percent. luck? maybe, but i think its good, since you can basically negate his barnes and allow him to do nothing for the next 3 turns
I've certainly considered Tinkmaster Overspark (as a replacement for Nexus-Champion Saraad), and the simple reason that I haven't tried it is because I don't own the card. I also refuse to craft it when I am only missing two legendaries from Classic and I will get it eventually from opening packs. And given that my winrate vs. Big Priest is so solid I'm not really looking to shore up that matchup. It's effectiveness vs. Reno lock would be my main reason to add it.
Looking at the newly released VS Wild Report, I noticed that they report that Odd Warrior is "slightly unfavored" vs. Big Priest. I have a question for any other Odd Warrior players out there; does this match your experiences? I have felt Big Priest is practically an autowin for Odd Warrior, and looking back at stats from my tracker seemed to confirm that (I've 11-1 vs. Big Priest, the only loss a game with T4 Barnes into Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound into Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound).
Since my sample size is small, being only from my own games (from a total of 72 games over the last month and a half), I wanted to get feedback from any other Odd Warrior players. My decklist follows:
### Odd # Class: Warrior # Format: Wild # Year of the Raven # # 2x (1) Omega Assembly # 2x (1) Shield Slam # 2x (3) Bash # 2x (3) Deathlord # 1x (3) Gluttonous Ooze # 2x (3) Mind Control Tech # 2x (3) Reckless Flurry # 2x (3) Shield Block # 1x (3) Stonehill Defender # 1x (5) Big Game Hunter # 2x (5) Brawl # 2x (5) Dyn-o-matic # 1x (5) Elise the Trailblazer # 1x (5) Nexus-Champion Saraad # 2x (5) Sludge Belcher # 2x (5) Supercollider # 1x (5) Zilliax # 1x (7) Dr. Boom, Mad Genius # 1x (9) Baku the Mooneater # AAEBAQcI+Qz7FJvCAtPFAs/HApL4Ap74AqCAAwtLogTeBf8H/g2BDqkVyucCg/sCjvsCnvsCAA== #
That's exactly how I do for each set. But a funny thing happened on the way to the forum-I found it becoming harder and harder to run out of gold before the next set was announced because I kept improving at Arena. By the time KaC was announced, I had done over 130 KoFT arenas, and still hadn't dropped below 6800 gold at any point.

I've opened 34 packs, 4 legendaries. Best rate for me since KoFT. So, no, I don't think the rate is going down, just a bad run for you right now.

What he said. It also gives you another card to round out full mana use turns: a five mana card, Bash, and hero power.

Nope, as the release says:

And sometimes this happens...

Try Tess Greymane in this brawl for even more "animation issues".
