I've recentle been having alot of success with my otk paladin but i find matchups against other otk decks kind of tricky. Does anyone have any tips to share? Anyone with experience?
Eh otk paladin is very slow, but it's a lot better Than other combo decks at dealing with aggro. If you have so much problems with combo decks you might try teaching in nerubian unraveler (buys you at least 1 turn against spell based combo decks)

Anyways, in a combo vs combo matchup the player who's able to empty his deck faster has the upper hand .
Once you understood you're against such decks you should prioritize drawing your combo pieces, then milling and stalling your opponent: for example, play the least minions you can, so he won't be able to properly use his removal; if he drops an Acolyte of Pain, make sure to kill him in the worst way for his gameplay (2 or maybe 3 hits if he's at 9 cards, 1 hit if not).
Moreover, you should hide your strategy the more you can: if your opponent struggles to grasp what kind of deck you're playing, maybe he'll take particular decisions or he'll waste useful tools that otherwise he wouldn't have used in such way

The mulligan is a bit tricky because after the nerf people seem to be playing either mecha'thun druid, mill druid (both very similar) or spiteful druid (very different from the previous two). Against the first 2 you should be looking for Call to Arms and Uther of the Ebon Blade, because that way you will get the maximum card draw possible and guarantee you have the DK on turn 9. But because you don't know if it's going to be spiteful druid, keeping some defensive options may be correct. However though, I think keeping Equality AND Shrink Ray is a bit too much. Furthermore, keeping Equality without an activator (Wild Pyromancer/Consecration) is kinda questionable as well. Also, keeping Potion of Heroism wasn't too bad.
Him keeping two cards and passing in turns 1 and 2 kinda gives away he's not playing spiteful druid, because he kept two cards and spiteful druid would have kept Spiteful Summoners, Prince Keleseth and a 1 drop, and no keleseth or 1 drop was played. Therefore, you could have guessed it was combo druid and started drawing cards (Flash of Light on your Righteous Protector instead of hero powering)
After he played the wild pyromancer it was 100% clear he was playing some sort of combo druid. Playing Bloodmage Thalnos there was correct, but you should have also played Flash of Light (on your thalnos) to draw even more.
The following turn, when you finally use Flash of Light, you should have used it on your minion instead of your face, because that way your Lynessa Sunsorrow will get an extra draw (which is waaay more important than healing up)
Later, you should have played Equality and Lynessa Sunsorrow, that way you get rid of the auctioneer and maximize your draw (even if it's just one card drawn)
Once you played the lynessa, I think you should have also coined out Loot Hoarder (because you need the card draw but not the coin)

I play DK otk
Hiding your strategy would be fairly difficult, since the other prevalent paladin decks clearly broadcast what type of deck they are, so most people are gonna know you are playing combo.
OTK pally is a super slow deck and literally every other combo deck in the format is faster and/or has a more consistent win condition. Look for example at mecha'thun, yes you have to draw all your deck and then play all your hand (in druid and priest case) but in paladin's case you need your DK and then draw all your bouncers and even at that point you still need to hit the 50/50 for the last horseman so you could be stuck forever, in theory. The really good edge that OTK paladin has over other combo decks is that it has a pretty decent match-up against aggro cause it's basically a control deck that has that combo finisher at the end to close games but you're gonna suffer against other combo decks for sure. The only thing I can think of is teching a Blessing of Kings so you can pressure combo decks early and do it again with Lynessa but it won't be much different, just very slightly better, still a bad match-up tho.
You're the beatdown, just kill them so they're dead.
Equip a true silver and smack them in the face, that's 8 damage. Uther is your finisher, that thing does 15 damage. I play the blessing kings version, so that's 4 extra damage every time you touch face, not to mention a potential Lynessa. Tarem can do some damage especially if curved after a call to arms. Use removals to connect to face. Combo decks that are faster than you are a lot worse against aggro so just be aggressive as shit, it isn't like you sacrifice card draw by doing so.
I find now people expect dk otk pally, and Shirva Holy Wrath pally has been doing way better for me. The deck often wins close to turn 10 which makes it competitive against the other otk decks you are struggling against.
I'm using a deck that's all in on the double holy wrath combo, but there are hybrid decks out there that are fairly solid as well.

Know your mulligan.
Focus on drawing and assembling the combo, only do defensive plays (AoE's, steed, truesilver, etc) if you need to.
If you don't roll the right horseman, try to keep it alive so that you don't have the chance of rerolling it next turn.
If you have replays of those tricky matchups maybe you can link them so we can take a look and discuss how they went
Oh and what list are you running? I'm curious because some sacrifice draw for other stuff
Do you mean Shirvallah OTK or DK OTK?

I play DK otk
Regarding your deck:
2 copies of Time Out! is a must. You should cut either Shrink Ray or High Priest Thekal to make room. I personally prefer 2 copies of Truesilver Champion instead of 1 but that's up to you (depends on your matchups I'd say)

Killing his Gadgetzan Auctioneer with your Truesilver Champion was the right play, but you missed the opportunity to draw cards with Flash of Light once again.
Next turn, you should have used Flash of Light instead of Spikeridged Steed, because drawing is more important
The following turn, when you finally use Flash of Light, you should have used it on your minion instead of your face, because that way your Lynessa Sunsorrow will get an extra draw (which is waaay more important than healing up)

That's all, hope it helps :)

Teaching this Pladin how to play his own deck:
Plot Twist: Unfortunately his hero power only activates the win condition for him, but gotta show him who is the boss! (he is)
Objection!!!
This is what i don't like about combo decks, the fastest combo deck wins, its that simple and cant do anything about it.
Just as much as contrl warrior can never win against a mecha thun deck...Unless ofcource they fuck up and discard a key card.
