I was looking around the site for an area for new players to introduce themselves, but I couldn't find any such place, so I decided to make my intro thread here in General Chat.
BTW if there is such a place and I just didn't see it, I apologize now and can it be moved to the appropriate area?
I'm a relatively new hearthstone player, I only started a week ago. I think I've got a fair grasp of how to play the game effectively, I'm just struggling versing decks with uber rare cards, which i think is to be expected. I'm new to the whole forum scene as well only having been on one forum before, I'll be lurking around most of the time, so if anyone wants to squash me in Hearthstone just send me a message.
I usually stick to priest and shaman as they were my favorite classes in WoW, anyway, I hope to see you in Hearthstone and may everyone be safe and happy :)
Hey there Oz. I'm right there with you on the relatively new thing. I've been playing Hearthstone for about 3 weeks now and generally have been having a blast on casual and ranked. I don't have anything too terribly fancy, but when it comes to the game itself I am applying deckbuilding sense I've learned with my many, many years of Magic: the Gathering.
Welcome to the community my fellow newblood. Glad to have ya aboard and enjoy the stay.

Y'know, sometimes I'm convinced that if it weren't for bad luck that I'd have no luck whatsoever.
I feel somewhat relieved to see a fellow MTG player here, I started MTG in the onslaught block, gave up playing / collecting about a year ago now been in limbo ever since.
I'm currently applying my deck building sense from MTG as well. Hope to see you in game Mistuh!
I started with M:tG in Beta and I'm still truckin' right on with it. I suppose what drew me in to Hearthstone so much was the distinct similarities between it and Magic. The mana system, a lot of the card mechanics felt wonderfully similar and I was able to hit a comfort level with me that has thus far gone unmatched. I did have to get used to the 2 copies per deck.. that sorta tossed me for a loop, but considering that you've only a 30 card deck, it makes perfect sense.
Well, all in all I hope to run across you sometime in the game and get down to the business of throwing cards.
