I always assumed people preferred Wild. It is the only mode I play.
I luckily was able to get a wing of each adventure before they were removed. But I think keeping them around would have been a good idea in regards to Wild.
Wild is vastly less played especially as time goes on and its harder for new players to get into it. Sure the average set before WotOG only had around 10 key cards for any given class but the decks there are only going to get worse as time goes on. Secret paladin will always potentially be a thing and Reno will only get better. Eventually all decks past rank 10 will be the hall of fame of cancer decks made up of the most broken cards around. Standard at least has a way to self correct, Wild Doesn't. I think changing out evergreen standard cards to more balanced set would work to better both wild and standard. Giving cards back and forth between formats lets people bridge the gap more easily
i dont get why new players are discouraged from playing wild, I myself am a player( been playing since January 2017) and I just srsly love playing wild more than standard even though I had no wild cards I crafted some such as sledge belcher cuz well its an awesome taunt minion XD. I see so many more innovative and awesome decks tho sometimes I do see cancer decks like face pirates and secret paladin really annoying with avenge lol.¨ But I also see a lot of fun and innovative decks that I didnt know exist like token druid, dragon pally and so on. It really is possible for new players to enjoy wild and reach high ranks as well just this season I hit legend for the first time and it felt great on wild using miracle rogue and a fun Nzoth Control Jade Shaman.

To Miracle or not to Miracle that is the question every Rogue player asks themselves XD
I think Wild Packs would be decent but they should reduce the dust price of wild cards by 50% (75% is crazy no one would buy standard packs). This would make wild much more appealing. I have no sympathy for people that dusted their cards when they moved to wild. I think wild is a great place for new interesting decks that are much more fun and less predictable.
If you are playing at high ranks in either Standard or Wild you are going to see mostly Pirate warrior and RenoLock, chances are you are playing those decks too! smh

Yeah, no.
See, here's the thing; both formats are equally as hard to get into, because when you first start playing you'll either just put together a random deck without knowing/caring about the Meta, or you'll netdeck. Either way, you'll be able to easily get a single deck up and running.
Having to craft Patches the Pirate to play Pirate Warrior in Standard is no different than having to craft Alexstraza to play Freeze Mage in Wild. It's 30 cards per deck, so the only factor is how rare each card you need to craft is. Heck, Secret Paladin and Aggro Shaman don't even need Legendaries in order to play well in Wild, making them even cheaper.
There's also the small and usually not an issue but sometimes prevalent fact that if you start playing Standard right before rotation without knowing about rotation and then half the cards are useless, where Wild don't have that problem. And then add on top of that that you can slowly build up a collection of Wild cards where as Standard cards are useless a year after they are released.
It'd be different if wild cards were limited in availability so that they each cost $20 per (M:tG) but when you can play for a day and get staples such as Shielded Minibot, Piloted Shredder or similar then that's just false.
from 25 to 10 there are a lot of various decks in both formats. Playing on both in legend, i can guarantee you, there is less variety in wild.
I think they need to release a "wild packs" what will include all wild cards except adventure ones with "smart loot" system so you will get cards you don't own yet... or with greater chance of getting them. At the same price tag as standard packs. But maybe not the best idea, but looks good for me )
