Coming up on a four win streak with my mage based on this forum post. Thanks for helping me make sense of deck building in Arena! Having a lot of fun with it.
Lol yes... i can see what you mean there..... but that was their whole purpose with the concepts behind each class. Synergy with cards etc... This would be an awesome heavy combo to get... however the randomness is not necessarily always in your favour :/.

I'm glad these tier lists were able to help you. Thats exactly what they're there for. Thank you for the support!
Thanks so much for putting this together. Great to have all in the same place and organized.
The class I have by far the most success with in arena is Shaman. One suggestion I'd have is to raise the value of Flametongue Totem from B to A. The reason this card is so valuable in arena is that, when played correctly, allows generally for at least a 2 and usually a 3 for 1 exchange. It's much like Blessing of Kings in Paladin, where you generate card advantage by buffing hero power tokens. This is invaluable in Shaman where card draw is often at a premium, so any extra value you can obtain is crucial.
I also agree with a previous poster that Savage Roar is probably more of a C rank than a B. To that point, I believe Bloodlust is actually more of a B than a C. The major difference between these cards comes back again to the hero power and the fact that Shaman invariably will have minions that did not cost him a card on the board, whereas Druid will not. This makes Bloodlust a reliable finisher (if you're ahead) or a way to efficiently trade up to equalize (if you're behind). Savage Roar in arena only really works when you're already ahead (unlike in constructed, where it's amazing).
Thank you for an amazing guide and resource. This overview excels not just in content, but also in clarity and presentation.
I'm curious if you could comment on a number of your choices:
You rate "The Beast" fairly highly as a legendary for most classes, although many people rate it low because of its deathrattle drawback. What made you choose to put it on par with cards like Alexstraza and Gruul for most classes?
You choose "Faceless Manipulator" as an automatic pick for most classes. Is this based on what you believe to be its value in an average deck? Or its possible value in a potential 12-win deck?
What made you decide not to rate "Keeper of the Grove" as an S-rank druid pick?
What made you decide to rate "Doomsayer" as an F rather than a D in a number of classes, although it is almost always a 1-for-1 plus a stall on turn 2 and at worst a heal for 7 or able to draw a silence (and keep a buffable minnion out) for 2 mana?
Why did you choose to split "Basic" and "Common" cards even though arena picks mix those up and you are forced to pick between them?
What possessed you to rate "Ice Lance" as a top common pick for mage, over cards like Scarlet Crusader, Venture Co. Mercenary and Cult Master?
Why do you rate the "Lightwarden" no higher than a D in priest, although it is hard to make it anything less than somewhat situational a 3/2 creature for 1 mana at worst?
Why do you rate the "Crazed Alchemist" the same rank C in priest as you do in most other classes, even though a lot of very common priest picks like Shadow words, Cabal Shadowpriest and Shadow Madness rely heavily on the attack value of minions, and the alchemist has additional synergy with extremely common health buff cards like Power Word: Shield and Temple Enforcer?
Why did you choose not to decrease the ranking of "Baron Geddon" in Shaman and Paladin, even though it has anti-synnergy with their hero abilities?
Why did you give "Mountain Giant" a B rank in Warlock? I understand their hero ability gives them more draw potential, but shouldn't this be offset by people trying to draft a lower curve to try and maximize the potential of this, still often leaving you with a low card count?
Why do you believe 1-for-1 hard removal is so valuable, ranking not just hex and polymorph, but also assasinate and siphon soul as top tier (while ranking the priest shadow words no higher than B rank)?
Thank you in advance for taking a look at my questions
great post. Thanks for putting in the work, particularly the color coordination. I think the lists could be made better by ranking the cards within each subcategory. Similar to what trump does with his lists.
I can't do a list like Trump's because thats basically Plagiarism. Each of the cards are ranked according to: Class, Rarity. For better clarification and visual illustration. Also its more direct, since the tier lists are specific to their class. While some cards are just set to specific rankings, others have changed around according to which class they are in, and the potential they have to be better.
It's not plagiarism if you rank the cards differently than he does. I don't agree with all of his rankings.
If it is plagiarism, then your list format is awfully similar to antigravity's lists which are grouped according to category.
I have taken all your feedback into consideration, and will be addressing some of the issues you pointed out during the next weekly scheduled update.
Also, since Naxx has been released I will be adding the current available cards to the roster for all tier lists along with the "Deathrattle Synergy" first of many iterations with the next update.
Be sure to check back weekly for updates and additions pertaining to Naxx.
As always, thanks for the feedback and please keep giving it as it will help this Thread be as best as it can possibly be!
I disagree with the summoning portal rank for lock. It is better than an F rank. I've drafted it quite a few times with lock now and it has only helped. It is really good for regaining your tempo.
Yeah I agree. Ice lance is terrible. I also disagree with the mana wyrm rank. I don't think I'd pick it over a harvest golem or dark iron dwarf unless if my deck is spell heavy crazy aggro.
Yeah, only Hunters are likely to care - but there's a big difference between pick priorities for a Hunter who has gotten a Tundra Rhino and Timber Wolf in their first 5 and someone who hasn't.
Thank you! Its been fixed xD
I gotz it! Have you?

Thanks for the lists!
I do agree that you overrate Faceless Manipulator, as does the community in general.
It's a small sample size, but Sea Giant is usually a better pick: https://pay.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/2adkim/i_analyzed_over_200_12winarenas_this_is_my_tier/ciu2738
Excellent work friend
The Hunter tier list is missing the Raging Worgen. It's fine for every other class, only missing from Hunter.
Not a huge deal but I just noticed it was missing while glacing through the lists and thought I should report it.
GREAT GUIDE THANKS A BUNCH!
Baron Geddon should definitely not be B rank for Shaman. It's basically killing your totems.
I personally like the faceless manipulator+rag combo its a nice 16 damage direct or x2 8 spread.... mostly used as a finisher for me.
This is a damn great write up (the both of you) deserve a lot of credit i bet your hands are killing you :P!

My hands were definitely in pain, but my eyes were worst. Nothing like slaving away making those lists. But its all worth it in the end xD

Ice Lance - S Rank? Really?!

tried it. you need a curve limitation line wih each class cause if i followed the list strait up i would have had 10+ 6 mana cads.

Just my 2 cents that ranked lists are more useful. Regardless, you've done an amazing job and should be proud.
WRT people disagreeing with your rankings, that's always going to happen. It's meant to be a guide only anyways.

I would suggest a Beast Synergy section as well.

Thank you! I will definitely bookmark this for when I give arena another try
