I play hearthstone every day I can and am constantly trying to get better. My highest rank is Rank 1 3 stars last season. I have been playing seriously for 2 seasons and casually for a few as well.
I am looking for a team to practice with for tournaments as well as laddering.
I have years of tcg experience, I learned how to play magic when I was 7 and have competed in many various tournaments. I also have competed in the competitive yugioh scene. Having found out I really enjoy hearthstone just a month and a half ago I am excited to see where I can go with this game.
Please add me in game if you have any questions at all!
LOL! Mister smith please don't talk just to see your own words in a thread. Your arrogance isn't necessary at all and i'm being very nice in how im responding to it. Nobody cares about your unprovoked and empty input. I promise.
1. Be VERY VERY good. Yes, rank 1 is nice, but I am talking top 50 Legend rank over several seasons. Play in tournaments and get decent rankings. You don't have to win them, but you definitely need to get some attention on you as a person. Then, competitive teams will approach you.
2. Be just good (rank 1-3 is "good" in my book) , but also very popular. Run a stream, get a high viewer count, be unique and get a name in the community. Reckful never won any notable .tournaments, but I am sure most people know his name, for example. Even if its just because he sometimes has pretty hot girls on his stream. Anything to get attention. Then, maybe, competitive teams will approach you.
Competitive teams call you, you don't call them. Sorry to burst that bubble.
The only competitive clans that exist are strictly pro clans? Well nm then. Didn't know it was such a dead community in that regard.
Well as there is no in game support for clans, and hearthstone is strictly an individual game in competitive play. The closest thing you'd probably look for besides "sponsored competitive teams", would be to find a few friends who are just as competitive as you are. If your not looking for money you can just add a few people and start your own team. If you are looking for money then, refer to above.
I never said I wanted to join a pro team. I just want a group of people who want to get better and be competitive. I am not looking to get picked up by c9 from a forum post. Come on guys, use your noggin.
In game clan feature is my next wish for Hearthstone community, the spectator mode is a good first step into building an more "amateur" community, a reason to add friend and interact with them.
You'd be too easy. Promise. My initial comment stands as does the initial purpose to the thread which I DIDN'T start. You can absolutely have competitive non pro teams. The community just obviously isn't there yet. When it does though, which i'm positive it will, remember this thread. Smile for me.
@jurnis1 I think your missing the point as to why there's no team based competitive non-pro teams. Basically it comes down to there is nothing to cultivate it. There's no clan feature, there's no team based game play competitively. Sure there probably are some, but with the way Hearthstone is, it's little different from friends practicing decks against each other. Now this would change, if
1. Hearthstone had a clan feature
2.Hearthstone had team-based competitive play, similar to how SC operates where you eliminate a player then go to the next one.
3.There was any difference between joining one and just having competitive people on your friends list. I mean, the only real difference, is you may have a Forum and it is easier to find people who play similiar to you, but if you wanted that just post a thread and ask for Competitive friends.
At least that's my take on it, but I could be completely wrong and everyone just doesn't care. l0l

This sums up what I was going to say.
