Subject 9 vs siamat. If you had to choose which one to run, which would it be? I don't really feel like crafting both (I'm a dust hoarder). I feel subject 9 might be the better card in this deck but it is rotating much sooner than Siamat. Thoughts?
The ability to specifically draw all the secrets out of your deck can be very useful. Both because most of them are pretty good and you also have quite a few cards that synergize with them.
Plus it thins your deck to hopefully make the rest of your draws better.
If you play the deck is a must craft, even in the games it draw only two secrets is a good play, when draw more than that is broken, plus, it is a beast, you can't expect more in a hunter deck.

What this fella said. Siamat is a powerful card, but in Highlander Hunter, Subject 9 is the better payout.
Thanks guys. Guess I'll craft Subject 9 and just sub in something to replace Siamat for now. Speaking of which, how do you guys think highlander H will perform post the recent nerfs to mage and warrior?

Well probably better,it already had good match-ups against those decks, boom delayed by 2 turns certainly help to exhaust their viable routes of removal,as for mage, you will be no longer randomly steamrolled by turn 4 luna.
But how overall...idk,need those 2 weeks to see how meta will set.

It'll be fine. I don't see it breaking in to tier 1, but it will be high T2.

Yeah as it stands now it's very well a tier 1 deck. But if we see its good match ups less frequently it'll hurt its over all winrate and possibly knock it down to tier 2.
Well, I think warrior will be played even more now, since it's biggest weakness, mage, got nerfed much more than warrior did. So you are better off just saving your dust and playing old school beast hunter which is the better deck, since it can wreck control warrior and has a better chance vs aggro with scalehide and dire frenzy.
a little late to the convo but i was talking to a friend after i took highlander to it to legend and told them that subject 9 was the second most important because of the draw ability the deck lacks.
and i think this deck will be very good in any meta but will be a bit weaker in a meta if a lot of aggro decks rise to the top.
highlander hunter helped me hit 5 after the nerfs. Even beat a CW for the final win to hit 5. Playing Dr. Boom on curve didn't help him, neither did repeatedly discovering Flunkies

Hi my dood.
Siamat will see play until april/2021, works well in most control and highlander decks, so is safe craft.
Subject 9 only works in highlander and secret hunter right now, BUT is more important in the deck than Siamat.
So you decide.
I'm sorry for my bad english :D
Hunter needs draw. Subject 9 is not super OP, but it fills a role.

Hi my dood.
Depending on where you look, it's the top of T2 currently. This rating came out just before the nerf bat was swung, though.
