At this point I couldn’t care less as I play wild very rarely, but it’s odd how much Blizzard lives the archetype. Any ideas why?
is it because it’s expensive to craft so they like people spending their dust? This seems the most likely reason to me.
Is it because it would require a complete rework of the graveyard function? This is also likely but I’m not a designer so maybe this is actually an easy fix?
lots of people on this forum mention that the designers like to play this crap. Is this really likely? Has it ever been explicitly stated?
Os it because it’s “easily countered”? This is true for a few classes but not all.
Whats funny is that people still feel like Barnes is the problem. At this point in the game he’s not even needed. So really I have no idea how to fix other than reworking the graveyard mechanic.
Its not a super high tier deck mind you, but the laughably easy piloting to victory is what makes it so annoying. Super high rolly though. Can steamroll or get rekt depending on the luck of the draw

This thread is stupid. You state you don't play wild often but then you proceed to rant about Big Priest, a deck that arguably isn't tier 1.
Lol did you read? I used to play it to see what all the hype is about, found it boring, but I always read about how much people hate it. Wild is cool but I play rarely. Not a rant, just curious.

what I meant was Barnes isn’t a key price in BP anymore, not that it’s a bad card for the game. I actually like playing Barnes in a few meme rogue and warrior decks.
It's a legitimate question. Back during Druidstone, there was evidence that one or more lead designers personally enjoyed playing Druid, which led to the design of cards like Jade Idol. Before you cry conspiracy theory, consider that actual people are designing the game, and people are not perfectly objective robots who always remove their personal preferences from their work.
Of course that was in a Standard environment.
My opinion is that Blizzard doesn't love Big Priest, but it can't be bothered to nerf it, either. Resurrection is a Priest identity feature now, but Blizzard can't be bothered to add resurrection cards to Priest's Basic or Classic set. Therefore, they have to add new resurrection cards to new Standard sets, which in turn (inadvertently) buff Big Priest.

Ik but you're thread is totally pointless. You don't say anything, besides your opinion on a very limited experience playing wild. I just don't see the value of the thread or what you're trying to ask.

Blizzard released too many resurrect cards last couple of years even nerfing Barnes wont be enough, Biggest problem is Big Priest created too many polarised match up. It is very weak against most aggro decks, unless it pulls a taunt minion through Barnes in early turns. However there is almost no way to kill Big Priest with any other control deck (except Quest Mage & Freeze Mage). Only solution I can come up with that there must be a tech card to "discard all resurrect cards from both players hands and decks".

Barnes is still a 100% key piece in Big priest. Idk where you're getting your info from.

Oh I’ve played 100s of hours of wild, but it for quite some time. Sorry should have clarified.
Maybe pointless, but I genuinely want to know what players think. Blizzard is either uninterested or unwilling to make any adjustments, but this isn’t a thread to complain. Sorry if it comes across as salty.
People have to be actually delusional to deny that Blizzard has a bias towards Big Priest. Aside from the absolute refusal to nerf any Big Priest cards for several years, there's also the support that goes into it every expansion, even when the support cards don't adhere to the current theme.
Keep in mind that people that complain DO know that it's not a "tier 1" deck. Y'all remind us of that literally every time we open our mouths. Doesn't matter, the deck is still hellish and unfun to play against.

This is true. I don’t hate it but do find it incredibly boring to play and way too easy to pilot to victory. I feel that the price of the deck makes Blizzard keep it alive.
Because in the past, Blizzard gave the big treats to priest players so they can stop whining and shut up for complaining having weak priest cards. This has been a long time.
If they nerf it, priest players will start whining all over again. They just want their goddamn single class to be best of all. Man I hope these will quit the game forever.
Big priest requires a significant dust budget, so that keeps the number of players in check. It is high roll or get wrecked. Sure you can have some insane plays, but that is what makes it fun to play. Still trying to update my list post SoU.
Oh, I'm sure bli$$ard will nerf it eventually. They'll nerf a couple of Common cards or maybe even a Rare that makes the whole deck fall apart and makes all of those expensive Legendary cards worthless, and no refund for them! Just like nearly every other broken deck they'll attack the cheapest parts.

its the closest thing to a 2nd identity priest has as an exclusive archetype.
A powerful but very uncostinant deck that keep a lot of thing in check. Why blizzard should not love big priest?
Why does blizzard LOVE [Deck i hate]?

Those who are given more in life, must not cling to it, but risk it all at every moment!

Complaining bout big priest when u don’t play wild a lot feels like ur just fishing on topic. Might need to lock it

Highroll decks allow bad players to get wins and even out win percentages. Anyone thinking it's more complicated than that is deluding themselves.
If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
it is one of the most expensive decks to craft, ez money ezz
