give minion a reborn, summon a minion with reborn, reborn mummies.... We see a lot of reborn cards for priest but not a single control card except plague clear. Plague card probably the best clear card in game but it is not enough for carry game. Why no taunts no spells actually do something add cards put some minions to board? Everybody talking about class identity and priest has f deathrattle. Really? What happened to uniqie spells? Give a minion reborn is a really uniqie and crazy spell. I was very excited for a single late game plan for priest but now we have for 1 mana one more cleric on board
Priest needs another good, cheap boardclear to become relevant again imo. Plague is too expensive, most games are over on turn 9. And even if it does clear a big board, you can play nothing else afterwards, so most opponents will just kill you with burst.
Reborn and other sticky stuff is decent, but minion focused control decks have never really been a thing and probably won't be anytime soon.
Well maybe outside of handlock variations. But those had a good portion of boardclears as well.
There's still 5 priest cards left to reveal, including the quest. Remember four months ago, when Blizzard didn't show any of the murloc shaman cards until the final day? For all we know there's a control priest archetype just waiting to be revealed.
hell i was watching a trump vid and he said the best priest deck in standard was nomi priest cause it was a deck that threw all the garbage priest cards away to win.
Abomination in particular will heavily wreck Mech Hunter or Token Paladin pretty well.
Theoretically. But I'm afraid, those 5 Mana minions are too expensive to deal with the really aggressive decks. (especially if you want to cast the additional 1 Mana spell on them)
Unstable Ghoul might be an option, but could still be too slow. I'll surely try it out, though.
Lots of good control decks out there in other classes. Warrior, Shaman, and Mage all look to have very strong control decks to my eye.
Basically, the devs didn't think the game needed yet another way to play control. I love Priest and playing control, but I think I can be perfectly happy running a control Shaman or Warrior deck instead.
And I'm not really down on playing Priest either. Some of the combos they are giving the class look pretty spicy.

Giving a minion Reborn is a massively huge bonus for Control Priest. Especially if you give it to taunt minions etc.
Imagine a Rotten Applebaum with Reborn. Or even more terrifying, an Obsidian Statue.
Giving Reborn to anything is one of the best control tools we have seen yet in my opinion.
Unlikely it is enough though.

Casting Reborn on an Abomination or a Convincing Infiltrator will deal with many early game aggro decks quite well.

Because everybody hates priest :D
