Personally I don't think that Lazul's Scheme makes much sense because The ability kind of caps at 3, because of board size. The schemes are meant to be cards with abilities that can get extremely strong over time, so it doesn't really make sense. I also think that blizzard wouldn't print a card that changes what boom bots are.

The part of the scheme with the asterisks around the number is what I would like to scale. In the case of Lazul, summoning larger copies of existing minions. I suppose you're right about Boom Bots, they can be "EVIL Bots".
The issue with the schemes is that if they are in fact based on core fundamental themes of classes, Warrior's ones would be insanely broken. Rush, Taunt, Whirlwind, Weapons, Damage+Buff, Single-target removal, etc. The card for Hagatha was based on the hero card itself, the fact that it does damage when played, so I feel like the schemes will not be based off the class' fundamentals, but rather on the fundamentals of the villain. So far, we've also gotten Togwaggle, which involves stealing cards and revolves around your deck. Therefore, the only villain (and as such, scheme) we can't be sure about is the one for Priest, Madam Lazul. Unless I'm mistaken, Madame Lazul is not from WoW, so her character is going to be entirely explained throughout the course of this expansion. Also, her character icon is awesome.
I feel like Warrior will be a little more complex than just armor stacking (otherwise we'd just end up in a meta where warrior mulligans for this every game and plays it for huge armor gain down the line to effectively become unkillable by anything other than infinite value decks, which sounds really toxic.
Since it's going to be a Boom Scheme I suspect it might involve mechs or explosions. Maybe 6-7 mana summons boom bots?
Yeah the armor would be OP maybe, though we have already had Unidentified Shield that can give you 20 armor for 6 mana and that wasn't OP. It's hard for "Upgrades every turn!" to not be busted. The Rogue and Shaman ones already look pretty busted to me, though of course there is a heavy RNG element of when you draw it.
Boombots would be cool. Either put them on the board as traditional boombots (maybe nerf damage) or shuffle them into your opponent's deck and they explode on draw.

Yeah they clearly are themed on the villians, not the class. So Hagatha's makes sense. Togwaggle's makes sense as him "stashing that away" and hoarding multiple copies. It would make sense if Dr. Boom's had something to do with boombots. For Rafaam it seems like his thing is the staff, which he wears like a Thanos gauntlet. But I guess it and he can do more than turn things into legendaries so I'm not sure what the options are there. And yeah Madam Lazul is an unknown except that she's associated with the Old Gods and is a fortune teller. Just wait and see!

Well AOE is a Shaman theme and Copy Shuffling is a Rogue theme.
Whether Schemes are based on the class or the character doesn't matter powerwise. You could easily have aspects of Dr. Boom or Rafaam be broken. The issue is the upgrading with no cap.
The effects must be either
Temporary board only effects (like Hagatha). The upgrade only lasts a turn even if upgraded 10 times and can't hit face.
Permanent deck effects (like Togwaggle) A broken effect is fair if delayed and unreliable.
Complete RNG random board effects with detrimental outcomes possible. Can't be broken if is incredibly unreliable.
Defensive hero effects that cannot be converted to face damage
Hand effects that can't be played on the same turn due to cost, mechanics, or restrictions.
So boombots are unlikely as they can be converted to face damage with whirlwind.
I was not expecting to return to this thread....I'm also disappointed you were correct, so much potential for warrior and they just get "infinite armor, idk, lul"
I'm very disappointed too. Partially because of how bad and boring the card is, partially because it seems like a last minute change due to them shitting the bed. Next card reveal looks like a Dr. Boom lab type. Maybe it will be triple your armor gain this turn.

Lazul's Scheme: 5 Mana, Summon a *1/1* copy of each of your minions. (Upgrades each turn!)
Rafaam's Scheme: 6 Mana, Give your opponent *1* 'Cursed!' card. (Upgrades each turn!)
Dr. Boom's Scheme: 7 Mana, Summon three 1/1 Boom Bots that explode for 1-*2* damage to a random minion. (Uprades each turn!)

Priest one:
3 mana. “Summon 1 random minion that died this game. (Upgrades each turn).”
:)

inb4 Dr. Boom Scheme is 6 mana add 1*mine into your opponent’s deck.
Mine is cast when drawn. Deal 5 damage to your hero. Or can be like Iron Juggernaut’s mine effect but then mana should be reworked.

I was 1 armor off for Dr. Boom's Scheme! Seems bad.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
