I am interested to see more Twinspell cards, one thing im a bit affraid of is, that the value of the other copy will have to show in the cost or the power of the ability of the spell, so it might be overpriced for what it does and that alone might make it unplayable (at least in ranked). Might be too slow to get the full value. Mby lower cost spells, similar to Extra Arms could make it. Thinking about it, Extra Arms is actually a twinspell already :) Cant wait for ppl to call for the text change lol ...
Discover -> Similar to Tracking even if slightly different.
Recruit and magnetic probably have something similar too since it's not that original so yeah, I think adapt and quest are the only real new keywords in the game. Un'goro, what a great time, miss it :'(
Man, this site seems to just be full of whiners no matter what happens. “We want expansion details” “oh you gave us expansion details with a new mechanic that is very different to echo? Wahhh we don’t want it”
I don't think that Twinspell is dangerous at all. It all depends on what spells that they print for it. When it came to Echo, they didn't make anything strong. I don't think they will print something really strong this time around either.
Probably a good thing that Quest Mage is not going to be in Standard - I have a feeling Twinspell would push that deck pretty far up the Tier Ladder. I wonder how it will effect it in wild though.
i think you can do some very interesting combos... but the mechanic is boring
there are so many possible and awesome mechanics and they choose a one-time-echo-mechanic
this is a lot better than echo, because you will notice that all echo cards are 2, or 3 mana. and they all are kinda underwhelming. echo is a lot harder to design with. twin spell means we can have more stuff.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Looking forward to the inevitable class legendary with card text of "Battlecry: Your spells have twinspell this turn"
Would make the Coin rather useful. Imagine if this was in a Miracle Rogue deck (or similar) - or a priest deck running Lyra. (I know Lyra rotates - but thinking about Wild, etc...)

sure, as if you have never complained about anything. *cough*mindblast*cough*

Everyone’s complained about something, but these people are literally complaining about something they asked for. Hit me up if I complain about mind blast once it’s been hall of famed/nerfed.
The only example we've seen so far has a fair mana cost. Constructed will adapt to what gets used and develop counter play to that. The only one I'm worried about is arena.
I think Twinspell cards will be bonkers in Arena only. They will have to over cost the spells or they will end up nerfing the card later if they print something powerful.
Take something as simple as this...
Frostier Bolt. Cost 5. Deal 3 damage to any target and Freeze them. Twinspell.
What's the big deal about this? Is it too powerful? It gives burn Mage 1 more burn spell for free, doesnt matter the cost. Could you make a card like this, but be both playable and balanced?
The Druid Twinspell seems powerful, but only when your opponent can't answer a board on turn 8. In standard, that is very rare. But in Arena, you dont always get board clears. So yeah, very powerful in Arena.
My first thought is it’s intentionally to introduce a late game Value source to help replace the void of deathknights without going infinite ( looking at you Rexxar, FLJ )

Half of the recent keywords had a test card before it was released.
Charging Devilsaur(not a cancerous big hunter minion to cheat out for face dmg) --> Rush
Unstable Evolution --> Echo
Extra Arms -->Twinspell
I feel like im forgetting something.
Adapt was actually brand new. They just gave us a volcanosaur to mess with.
Fun > Meta
Lifesteal -> Mistress of Pain (who has now lifesteal...)
Discover -> Similar to Tracking even if slightly different.

Love the tribes.

It's not an one time echo mechanic at all, it's an one time echo mechanic that can carry over to future turns. That makes all the difference
This keyword is impossible to balance.
Either the spell will be good and two of those will be broken or it is awful and you will never play it.
Yeah, i know. My point was ppl always ask to get it changed retroactively, which does not make sense.
Nope, not Rush. How are still ppl confused about this one, was discussed at lengths thousand times over. But lets not digress :p

warlock gets new board clear 100% guarantted and 100% twinspell. and maybe some more cards like curse of raffam

Except Priest needs much more than this card to even be viable.

Why would anyone be worried? We've seen this card in myriad forms.
Cards that create other cards aren't inherently worrisome.
