It's a game with a very very low skill cap and high RNG meaning that most games boil down to luck, and it's also a game that is very badly balanced with a dev team that does not particularly care about balance but rather a rotating series of broken decks that encourage pack sales.
You could not really design a more pointless and irritating game if you tried and the fact that it is played "competitively" is the biggest joke of all. The question is why do we bother? Mild addiction to opening cards? Dumb hope that things will change? Take your pick really but ultimately it's our fault for wasting our time on this mediocre trash.
i was playing league for 6 years and i was introduced to hs early this year, the diffrence is very obvious both in the community and in the playerbase itself that i met, hs is way less toxic, u just never tried other things, plus jade druid exists
I second this. Hearthstone really is not that bad. If you ignore the "Salt" thread then the forum looses like 70% of it's toxicity as well. If you don't use these forums along with reddit then the game looses 95% of its toxicity. The great thing about the game is that there is no ingame chat with your opponent, if there was then yeah the game would be pretty toxic, but still not on the level of the other popular pvp games.
To everyone complaining about netdecking and aggro players:
if your fun is influenced by what other people play, do everyone - not the least yourself - a favor and stop playing this game. It's clearly not for you.
Sincerely,
everyone who knows netdecking and aggressive strategies are a part (and always will be) of pretty much every competitive card game

In my world, there are only ponies. They eat butterflies and s**t rainbow. (c)
Not gonna happen, sorry, mate. Same as wishing for peaceful world, when there is so much oil around.
