So another expansion is coming out and for once, i have some money to spare and i'm thinking of buying the 50 packs. So my question is, is it worth it? All advises are appreciated :)
I preordered it and Im not regretting it so far: I think we have had a creative year of HS with the Quests, the DKs and now the weapons; besides, if you play it right you can get up to 20% discount on the original price (depends on your region and the offers on amazon coins)
You have to buy packs at some point to get max enjoyment out of the game, and this is the best offer they have. I’ve reached a point where I save 7000-8000 gold before each expansion so I get 140+ packs to open each set release for 50 bucks.
It's only worth it if you'll be opening more packs too. Opening just 50 (that you've spent real money on), only to get 2 unplayable legendaries is one of the worst feelings in Hearthstone.
It really depends a lot. If you are F2P and are thinking spending money for a first time and only pre-order, you'll find it a little bit overwhelming. If you are fine spending money and will also spend a lot of gold on packs (or even more money) to get most of the set, you won't find a better offer for your buck.
I pre-ordered Un'goro and saved dust and gold for KFT. And I am way happier with my KFT experience. Un'goro only gave me one quest (The Marsh Queen) and got all the bad epics and not single good epic (best was my one Meteor. And don't have a single playable legendary.
With KFT I had a lot of dust, and pre-purchasing Un'goro meant I had a lot of gold saved. Got some good DKs from pack, and crafted the DK (+ Lich King, looking to craft Keleseth from the extra dust from this expansion), while epics were not as important in this expansion. So over all I am very happy.
For me this expansion looks like Un'goro. Epics are amazing, legendary are meh. As I hate crafting epics and I liked KFT so much I didn't save enough gold, I actually pre-ordered to make sure I get the common and rares, and some extra dust. And will be saving my dust and gold for the next expansion
Not if youre smart. Put your money in Bitcoin or something unless you're a ****** consumer.
Yea put your money on something that you can buy for arond 7-11 k dollars and then when price drops you lose all your money...eventualy bitcoin will drop its value... Im not saying that is better to buy packs but dont even think about bitcoin...better to buy some other cryptocurrency that will rise its market price when bitcoin will going down :) balance dude LOL smart investmant.. But you said good point here and i agree with you :)
I stopped spending money on HS over a year ago after they removed adventure mode expansions, and started modifying their system in order to squeeze out more money out of their user base. Now I just do dailies and save up around 5-7k gold before each expansion comes out.
At this point it's somewhat difficult for new players to pick up and play the game, especially on ranked ladder, without having to invest a large amount of time or money.

wow, way to make your point by insulting anyone that spends money on entertainment
if it weren't for those "****** consumers" there would be no hearthstone, Blizzard is not a charity organisation and it needs people spending money to exist, some of the recent price spikes obviously are annoying as hell, but the decisions for those weren't made by anyone on HS team most likely anyway
I'm wondering how smart consumer are you btw, most people spend way more on alcohol, drugs, blackjack or hookers in a month than the cost of one preorder and what do they get in return? entertainment... in most cases anyway... so don't question how people spend their money and start looking only into your own wallet
also some people don't like the risks involved with investments, and while I'm pro-crypto all the way I always tell everyone that it's their choice and that you should only invest money you're not afraid to lose
so your definition of being smart is in my opinion quite wrong

Yep worth it. Almost all legendary weapon ms and minions are great.

Went to the PSN store to get myself a overwatch ended up with a 50 pack pre-order. Fml. So i guess it's worth.

Keeper of the Grove Gone, but not forgotten.

No.
Set looks weak. Some great cards to craft. Get the legendary weapon and other card then see what the meta does.
