So far this morning I have played 14 matches, 11 of which were against Pirate Warrior, and I gotta say I really feel like complaining :)
It's not that it's a particularly difficult match-up (although it is a pretty difficult match-up), it's more that it's a particularly boring match-up. None of those games this morning were ranked, they were just for fun, and holy christ was that not fun.
Does anyone ever enjoy playing against pirate warrior, or any other cancer decks for that matter? Even when I win I don't enjoy it.
Does anyone even enjoy playing as pirate warrior? Doesn't seem very entertaining.. just grinding wins.
I'm under the impression that decks like this are a detriment to Hearthstone, because at the end of the day we all play for fun, and this shit is not fun.
..Or is it just me?
Thanks, I hope you all enjoyed my tantrum as much as I enjoyed having it,
I prefer a slower game, but I don't find it un-fun to play against. It's fun to play tech that you know stops their gameplan in its tracks. And it's fun to know that you'll come back from very low health to destroy them. :D
I learned to not complain over bad draw RNG and opponent's god draws. It may seem like I'm getting screwed most of the time but thinking back there was a lot of games I won because of topdecks and perfect opening, so it kinda evens out in the end. Turns out it's easier to forget things have gone in your favour too.
Could say the same about Miracle, Jade Druid, Renolock/Mage/Priest, Dragon Priest and Aggro Shaman. Lately I'm only facing the same 6-7 netdecks and playing start to feel doll and repetitive. I can practically say from turn 4 if I'll win or not. I'm thinking about switching to wild for good, hoping there is more deck variety there
It's awful. You run into Pirate warrior, or Pirate shaman, all the time. It's just boring. And I can tell by round 3 usually if I have a snowball's chance in hell of winning against these decks. I don't mind losing - indeed, I expect it 50% of the time - but it is demoralizing to realize you are SOL so early on, over and over again with these decks.
A good meta would have all classes represented roughly equally. We're not even close to that now.

The problem with tech cards vs face decks is that you only have so many chances to pull them, and even if you do pull thems you can still lose
I enjoy playing against Pirate Warrior/Shaman as I have a pretty nice WR vs them, over 75% i would say.
Is an interesting MU imo.
I dont like Dragon Priest, those are hard to beat for me, really hard.
Pls share your 75% wr deck :D
Dragon priest is pretty fun, and I usually win depending on what deck I use. Reno Dragon Priest is a tougher match-up, but I still have fun against them, even if I lose

At least those decks give the opponent time to actually apply strategy, and each has a very fair chance against the other.
Have you ever tried playing Jade Druid against Pirate Warrior? lololololololol
If you beat an annoying deck you've played in 11 out of 14 matches and didn't have fun, it sounds like time for a break. Basedon your claim, in 11 matches you didn't have fun win or lose... so why play? That's a lot of playing that is "boring".
that being said... enough crying abotu pirate warrior. Salty thread was already mentioned but a quick search would find another 25 pirate whine threads. Search before starting a thread since it's far too easy to find other threads that have the same theme.

That's true of literally every game of Hearthstone. I don't lose to Pirate Warrior more than anything else, though, so I guess I have the right amount of tech.

Pirate rogue, too. But It's specifically Pirate warrior that is bothersome. How is it fair that they can have a 3/2, 1/1 with charge, a 1/1 body, and a 1/3 weapon equipped on turn 1 (with coin). That should just not be possible, and its surprisingly common. That is what really blows, knowing your going to lose turn 1 even if you draw all the perfect tech cards
I really like playing pirate warrior - not for fun but for rank. Its deffinately better to spend one day grind to reach rank 5 than half a month trying to beat cancer meta. For sure there were many other viable decks to play with but this game is all about RNG. In that case the best way to win is use cancer deck :) No i dont really enjoy that playstyle but it works.
In general warrior class is also great if you want to counter pirates - control or midrange-dragon are perfect. Dont be angry - fun starts on 5+ rank there you might meet many noncancer / nonnetdeck lists. Personally i like midrange hunter / tempo mage / miracle rogue :)
I completely understand that it's one of, if not the best deck for grinding the ladder, and that people need to practice on normal; but man is it frustrating for those of us who still play for fun
Just played 3 games of it for daily and lost to Reno Mage, Buff Hunter, and Midrange Shaman. Should have won all of those according to you.
Problem is that if you don't draw godly at the start, P Warrior will get smashed.
Should have won all of those games according to me? Wtf post did you even read? I understand you're fighting salt with salt, but atleast be somewhat accurate
I've only won one game vs pirate warrior because they had bad draw. Most wins were because I had a deck with tech cards and I actually drew them

dude reach rank 5 or dumbster legend and enjoy !
from rank 5-1 I did not face this deck anymore (maybe 1 out of 20 games...) and dumbster legend always has its own funny meta.

Imo the worst thing about pirate warrior mets is that you can't play weapons in other classes because everyone runs ooze
Lol. Stop it.
There are so many counters to P Warrior now.

I'll play against Pirate Warrior every day if it means I don't see Shaman.
