I have a challenge for some of the more serious deckbuilders here. Build the perfect Legendaries deck
Being a Legendaries deck, the main focus should be, well, Legendaries, so these should take up at least half of the cards (15). What legendaries these are, what class to choose, and what cards take up the other spots in the deck, that I leave up to you.
This is the part where I would usually put my own version of my idea, but I generally suck at deckbuilding, I will therefore leave this bit blank so I do not embarrass myself
ATM I can only think of two classes that can handle the drawbacks of playing superheavy on legendaries: Druids, and Paladins. Druids using Innervate for some additional mana to spend. But I really think paladin should be more "workable", but still nothing that really can stay competitive.
The amount of legendaries make those decks really expensive on the manaside. So everything added to those 15 legendaries needs to be "fast" removals. Therefore I use 2 wolfriders and of course 2 truesilvers. I added several additional board clears: Pyro+Cons and Abom (especially vs. rush), as otherwise you will get swarmed before you could even start playing your lategame legendaries.
I thought about Thalnos for a 2 mana drop, but voted for Nat Pagle instead. This deck really needs a lot of carddraw. So any additional is a plus. Anything besides that, Thalnos isn't that useful with only 4 spells making use of spellpower. I also voted against Ysera in favour of Alexstrasza being a nice additional source of damage or heal.
Again: This deck will have tons of problems.
Notes: Wohoo, Post #500 and it is with a decklist :P
Great deck! Also pretty surprised not to see Tirion Fordring in there.
So I went ahead and made one of my own, but I took a slightly different approach. I chose a class legendary I want in the deck, and built the rest up from there. This is the result:
Only non-legend minions are the 2 Alarm-o-Bots, and only 3 of the Legends come in at 3 mana or less, so this is very much a late game deck.
To try and survive until said late game, the hunter has some very interesting tools, including the cheapest 2 damage AOE in the game in Explosive Trap and the "What happens when you split a Fireball in two?" Multi-Shot to help keep you (kinda) safe from rush. For mid-late minion control there is the cheap, but potentially RNG Deadly Shot, the extremely powerful, but slightly situational Explosive Shot and of course, what is Rexxar without his bows. Freezing Trap and Snipe are also included for some added single target fun
As for the Legends. With Hunter having no way to summon tinies like Shaman and Paladin does, I decided not to add Tinkmaster Overspark, figuring things will be bad enough without giving the opponent a turn 3 5/5. Also no ETC here. He looks fun to play, but fun does not mean survival. Also no place for Ysera. Ragnaros the Firelord, Alexstrasza and King Krush are the big finishers.
That is true, didn't think about that. Swapped them out, and decided to add 2 more legendaries, bringing it to 17. Added Tinkmaster, and also Lorewalker Cho. Cho can either be a bullet magnet for you, keeping you alive another turn and/or screwing up your opponent's plans. If he steals even one spell before dying, it's already value
I made a mage legendary deck. Obviously this deck has two win cons. Legendaries and Spell damage. The point of the deck is obviously control. Live till late game so you can start dropping your legendaries. It does not run 15 legendaries because I do not think that having half your deck being legendaries it what makes it that style of deck. If your win con focuses mainly on legendaries, that can be considered a deck based around legendaries.
Anyways, would love to hear thoughts on this deck. It's very similar to the frost giant's deck. Much less card draw in it so it relies heavily on "heart of the cards"
I thought of Tirion, he is a good drop. I acttually scrapped him for the sole reason I don't see him working out well. You will get hurt too much, to make use of his weapon and another high mana drop scares me. So I decided to play a tiny bit more on the safe side. And ya, ETC is for the lulz in. No legendary deck without him ;) But definitely he would be the one I would switch out for something more serious, maybe even Tirion.
Most likely I get rushed too many times, when I play ...
The hunter looks interesting though... might even give this a "serious" try :P

for legendary deck you need to survive early and you need to put taunts. legendary deck will play similar to molten giant warlock deck when you play giants you need to have taunts otherwise you lose....
so here it is my pick for ultimate legendary deck.

My first go at it, I explained that I wanted King Krush in the deck, Hunter also has some nice cheap control/removal with his secrets and Eaglehorn Bow

Maybe some shaman control, dunno how well will that work with overload though, but should be able to reach mid-late game easier i guess...haven't tested
Why Hunter ?
