Im deciding between her and Umbra to craft. Umbra is neutral and fits in more deck but on the other hand Sonya is really powerfull.
I've been playing around with some swaps in tech choices from Dane's list and have really enjoyed the deck. Maybe he's made changes, but when I played it, there was only Lich King, Rag, Sneed's and KT as big drops. If your opponent manages to clear all 4, you're not left with much for threats. Because of this, I recently added in Anub'Arak. He won't ever be pulled from Vanguard so you can use him to ensure you always have an Illusionist target, (which generates you another Anub'Arak). Essentially he's an infinite pressure card because with even two of them, chances are you opponent can't Poly/Hex/silence both of them, giving you a threat to always play.
In terms of Umbra vs. Sonya, Umbra is much better for this deck IMO. The statline helps it stay alive a turn if you want to play Illusionist the next turn and you can get absurd chains with Umbra (Umbra + Illusionist pulls Vanguard --> Sneed's --> other legendary). I've found that Umbra helps with cheating tempo to get big guys out easier while Sonya helps with getting extra value out of your cards. The tempo of Umbra has been more necessary to me so far than the value of Sonya. All that being said, Sonya is generally a better rogue card while Umbra is more flexible by being usable in other decks.
I personally don't think the deck will get refined all that much. We're talking wild here. Although there are some refinements, there's far less attention put into wild decks than standard decks. I actually like this though as it gives me more time to play the deck before it gets too overplayed by others.
dane's added anubarak as well, at least on the last youtube video i saw. seems fun. i haven't crafted it myself, but am tempted (sitting on 7k dust). i've added belcher/sylv/nzoth, which gives you a better aggro matchup and an additional wincon v control. sucks to pull nzoth with illusionist or barnes, though, of course. sticking sonya behind a belcher can make aggro insta-concede.
i'd say umbra and sonya are both mandatory for the deck. and umbra's more valuable than rivendare. sonya's amazing, though, and if you can land two on board at the same time, you get infinite value.
re: wild/refinements, you might be right. wild also just has more similarly viable alternate builds for these kinds of decks, given the card pool.
Big Mage and Giant Burn Control Mage! Working on personal decklists for both. Obviously I like Mage :D

Maybe its not entirely a "Big Deck", but Prophet Malygos is one of my favorite highroll decks because getting those 20+ damage Mind Blasts are so satisfying, although it rarely ever functions nowadays.

I disagree! It worked very well for me in standard when the meta was mostly Cubelock and Raza Priest. With the new spellstone you can res both of them and then use Mind Blast plus Holy Smite to finish. I had a lot of fun playing that deck.
I've been experimenting with a Big Paladin deck. I'm using 2x Dinosize, 2x Avenging Wrath, 2x Holy Wrath, 1x Lay on Hands, 1x Call to Arms.
I also have 2x Bright-Eyed Scout to help with cost reductions, and if you can play call to Arms before a Bright-Eyed Scout, then your deck gets thinned quite a bit and you almost always get a good 5-cost card.

Quit complaining and just have fun with this game!
Yes. I thin Im gonna craft Umbra. Not only because she is a good neutral legendary but because it tends to snowball more than Sonya. Sonya is more like reload value engine while Umbra is opressive.
It is not the size of your deck that counts!! lol
on topic: recruit giant warrior and BIg Mage are my favorites!!
