I'm gonna make Paladin deck, prob divine shield flavor, and watch it fail. Then I'll probably try some different paladin decks that all fail because it's a terrible class right now. Then I'll switch to Hunter to remind me there is something even worse.
I have about 6 vastly different mage decks theorycrafted and I'm going to try them all out.
Well I'm super skeptical about Aluneth. I mean it's a really awkward card... For controll mage the drawback of fatigue is very high and for tempo mage it's too slow. It would be a completely different story if it had 1 atack and you could kind of controll the carddraw. Or if it would cost 5 mana and fit into tempo mage. As I said I'm really insecure about this card...

Depends on legendary weapon and epics from packs I'll get. I'm not going to spend a lot of dust at least for the first 2 weeks before meta establishes.
The decks I want to try are pure control war, recrut druid, malygos OTK druid, maybe control lock. But I think I'll switch back soon to my regular tempo rogue and tempo mage, they will be still strong and require just few cards to change.
Razakus priest, mainly to make the plebs who crafter The Darkness cry.
Quest Rouge, which may finally be viable again if the meta is slow.
Modrange Hunter, which may still be bad, but at least it has some new tools now I would love to test.
Call to Arms paladin, seems god pulling 2 Dirty Rats and Millhouse Manastorm on 4.
Dragon Soul priest can be cool, due to its ease of summoning many 5/5 dragons.
Possibly nothing else is good enough to see competitive play. Maybe evolve shaman.
U want to counter a card that counter´s ur ******** deck?
Counters*
Yes I will counter it by doing nothing, because it's a 4 mana waste a turn.
Highlander Priest can´t do anything without the Raza,Anduin and Kazakus combo so if ur opponent spends 4 mana to destroy ur on6ly win condition it´s pretty good.
The only way to beat Razakus is by rushing them down. Wasting turn 4 does not help. They can still play Anduin and control the board until raza becomes active. But I know it's hard to pictur this scenario as a player who drools over a 20/20.
The Darkness isn't really about the 20/20 stats (though those are nice), it's about shuffling three candles into your opponent's deck to stall their Raza. It's also not intended as a hard counter, as Razakus has good draw and will eventually get their Raza off, it's intended to level the playing field a little, giving you longer to rush them down.

Not sure what kind of Rank 26 Razakus Priest u are but all the Highlander Priests i faced between Rank 5-1 always won after they got their combo on turn 5+. U can´t rush down a Razakus Priest if he has Board Clears and his Minions. The Darkness gives u actually time to rush down the Priest since he has to spend mana for his Hero Power which is very weak against any Tempo Deck. The 20/20 body won´t ever do something since the Priest has to die anyways before he draws all of the candles.
Edit : If u got The Darkness on Turn 4 and the Priest didn´t played Kazakus on his turn he will most likely just lose since he losses a insane board clear or stalling option
The rogue decks look amazing! Definitely gonna try them out :)
Thanks! I would, too, if I had the dust for it. XD If I get Kingsbane for free, though, I can definitely craft that deck (fingers crossed, but not holding my breath).
Well I'm not sure about that. The time The Darkness awakens, your opponent most likely has already drawn shadowword pain or even shadowreaper ready to answer your 20/20...
For sure it will have some impact.
And just thinking about the possibility your opponent draws all 3 candles in a row at turn 4 is worth trying it out :D

When people say "the darkness counters razakus priest", they mean that both raza and kazakus won't be active because they will have 3 candles in their deck, rather than meaning that the 20/20 will kill the priest. Or maybe I misunderstood what you meant with the post :)
The 20/20 body is pretty unspectular against Highlander Priest. Even doe it has a use since the Priest has to safe a Death or his Anduin to deal with it when u get the candles. So this mean´s he will be careful using death early on. The only thing that makes it so strong is that the Priest losses his Kazakus to deal with the board which is HUGE against a Tempo Deck since u can´t deal with the board anymore.

I'm probably going to craft DK Jaina and go with some sort of Elemental or Control Mage. Always wanted to play it, never got to craft that DK card.
I've no clue what I'm doing...

Oh, I already constructed mine.
No one. Razakus Priest will destroy any of my ideas anyway....
oh that's unfortunate... well i guess it´s still a pretty hard counter to Highlander Priests.

I'm so hyped for Kingsbane! And Cavern Shinyfinder makes this archetype perfect
