Hello all! I recently bought 15 packs, and got some decent neutrals that go in most decks! I also have all the naxx cards, missing a few class challenges but thats due to laziness :P
I use to run a zoo before the season reset and I ran to rank 16 with the bare basics and a lot of missing "good cards" like argus etc.
But I swapped some cards out that everyone recommended before and now I am just getting OWNED. I cant even get past 20...
So I think it may be time to swap classes or completely different deck build. I Know I sadly cant list my cards, but I dont have a lot of rares/epics. No legendarys :( I have about 300 dust to use too if need be. (235 to be exact)
Is there any good cheap classes I can run that will do good for the meta right now? With little to no good cards?
Midrange Hunter and Secrets Mage is super duper cheap right now. I recommend looking into these decks if you are interested in building a viable budget deck. (BMT and Sylvanas are totally replaceable)
It's nothing with you, it's that the ladder just reset after a new season, so it's likely you're facing players that were probably around Ranks 8-12ish from last season. Generally, they're a bit harder to play against compared to the normal opponents you see in Ranks 16-20.
2x azure, 1 blood mage, 2x counterspell, 1x vaporize 1x duplicate for the mage deck. :(
Im not big on the hunter, and just looking at the list I can tell you I dont have a lot of those cards >_<
Is there cards I can replace the above with for now? I have 235 dust... Is it worth it to craft any of those listed? That could play in other decks that I could get real use out of? I think I have a few gold extras laying around I Dont care about so I can get some more dust too. :P
Ahh Ok Gotcha tazdingo :) Thanks for that! Didnt even really think about it. Figured most would already be back to their old ranks :P
I'd say there are several classes that are rather expensive (crafting cost), but I've had moderate success with zoo and a budget rouge deck. Like Tazdingo mentioned above, it is the beginning of a new season, so don't take losses too badly.
If you are going to craft a few cards, I would recommend a Defender of Argus, since it's useful in a lot of contexts. This is not completely necessary, since Sen'jin Shieldmasta is usually a suitable substitute. There's really two ways to do it: the first is to craft a few cards here and there as you get dust, and another is to find a deck you really like, craft as many of the missing cards as you can, and play with that or Arena until you get more dust for another deck. I've been doing the latter, and having quite a bit of fun.
EDIT: Azure Drake is also very useful, and is a great value 5-drop. Unfortunately, by turn 5, there are many ways to deal 4 damage. It's a safe bet to craft; according to hearthpwn, it's used in 21% of the decks here, which is quite the feat. You can look up other rares and see which ones are popular.
I am debating an azure. Havent decided if I want to do two or not... Sadly almost all of my epics and rares were pally on my 15 packs... Talk about annoying
Pally isn't a bad class to play. Defender of Argus is decent card in Paladin, since it's (slightly) more likely you'll have two minions to buff. Also, the three epics in Paladin are some of the most powerful epics; Sword of Justice is awesome for early-mid game and topdecking Lay on Hands late is amazing. You also get a lot of good cards for free in Paladin (hint: most of them cost 4).
Yeah I got 2 swords of justice today lol... Is there any good pally decks out there right now? I could see how close I can get to completing one of those.
