A worst brawl. Also why would palladin need this with equality consecrate, which is 6 mana?
People consider this a card for Control Paladins.
Running 2x Equality is a reasonable approach, but keep in mind that the 6 mana combo comes at the cost of 2 cards occupying slots in your deck, not even talking about the downside of not drawning into the second part of the combo during the game. Or, which is more likely, you have to waste your Consecration during the early game - which in turn means you have to rely on having board presence in order to make use of Equality later.
That said, Enter the Coliseum is the definition of a cost effcient boarclear, just like Brawl. No combo required, means you can put another card in your deck instead. What makes this card even better than Brawl, in my opinion, is the fact that you can precisely manipulate the outcome. Absolutely no RNG involved, except when the minions have equal attack (in which case a well-placed Aldor could make the difference).
If Control Paladins will be thing, this card will certainly have a place in it.
It's strictly worst. First in a control meta, it leaves the board with your opponents strongest minion since this card is 6 mana that doesn't leave much space to clear it. Against grim patron, it leaves a patron on the board, which will be difficult to clear unless you already have a true silver. The highest attack doesn't matter because obviously if you brawl patron will probably win. The card will come out in a week. I won't bother arguing with you but you can try it out for yourself before realising equality+consecrate/pyro is better.
I forgot to mention, isn't this card giving yourself the worst possible outcome of brawl? When you brawl you want to kill the strongest minion, which genrally has the highest atk. This keeps that minion on the board.
I really like it, it's like a "better" brawl since your deck is most likely going to be slower and won't have as many minions out.
Might help bring control pally back along with eadric.
dont see your point since control warrior is even slower, and doesnt have heropower that summons dudes. Brawl also cost 1 less mana and doesnt have restriction to avoid the strongest opponent minion. I dont know, i feel like 2 equalities is enough.

it's stricly better because it's a "tactic brawl". vs grim: let's say you got a belcher and he got a lot of grims, a warsong, an armorsmith. With brawl (in %) you'll obtain a grim vs a 1/2. With enter it will be a grim vs your belcher. You kill grim, killed ALL the other enemy minions, NO armor whatsoever gained (instead of eq-cons) and you got a 3/2 on board
Another one, vs control druid (and we all gonna play A LOT against them). Let's say you got tirion on board and he suddently plays AvianabelcherKel'Thuzad With eq+cons (always 2 cards and they work ONLY together..it's not the same thing) you end with a board cleared and your tirion as 6/1 with no divine shield. With Enter the Coliseum you got many solutions: - Consecration for a board clear and tirion 6/6... - if you got a weapon already, with aldor on kel', you got tirion 6/6 -if thanks to emperor you got enter and sylvanas at 5 mana...I let you wonder
and so on so on
I will keep 2 equality and consecration and I'll add an enter the coliseum for a great board control (warrior, druid, handlock, priest I think..).
Very nice card, I love a lot the design. More, the not random thing as brawl with finally a nice tactical view and thoughts, as HS is intended...
Honestly I really really love this card. It can replace Equality and/or Consecration in a control style Paladin. In fact I think this would be preferred since it's one card and single card removal has always been a weakness for us.

You clearly never played against patron warrior. The patron CLEARS your board ON the turn he combos. Therefore, you will not have any minions on the board after the board is flooded with patrons.
Doesn't this change how you play against Paladin? You basically have to watch out what minion you leave on the board compared to theirs if there's a possibility of EtC next turn.
Drew a golden one in my preorder packs. Didn't have the chance to try it for now. Just used it on an empty board (I had lethal anyway) to see the animation : sweet.
Pretty difficult to fit into decks because it actually shouldn't replace equality and consecrate due to their versatile uses. So instead you have to use it on top of them, but the Paladin play style isn't really one right now where you can wait and then use it like a Warrior's brawl. Especially when you don't control their highest attack minion before or after unless you can set up your own board to deal with it. Or you just ignore the board.
Maybe an ultra heal centric deck can use two of these without Equality + Conse but I dunno. You either want buff or more tools to use it with (Champions, Blessing of Kings, Might, Divine Shield, Humility, Aldor, Equality), so it's not really saving space. Maybe it's good in a token deck with Solemn Vigil, Bolvar, Volcanic Drake and whatnot.
I really love this card. I've already won some matches only due to this little gem (especially vs shaman's decks) and it allows you to choose the best play. As said, a tactical brawl and it's really worth. Nice
Experimented with it in a healadin type deck, which i feel is where it would perform best - it worked rather well. Running a buff or two is also a good idea.
Been playing with this card lately and it's really great. I use Aldor or Humility to skew the outcome, it's really awesome and many people aren't expecting to see their Ysera hop on the express bus to Hell like that.

It's fun with Sylvanas on your board and they try to counter her with flooding the board.

Really good card for control pally. Aldor allows you to choose what lives and dies as well.
I love how Paladin is gaining strength w this expansion. Maybe I can finally get my control deck past rank 3 and in to legend...
It can replace an Equality, or even a Consecration.
The name is amazing in it of itself
They already cry over equality consecrate/pyro. Why would this be better?

The difference is it's 2 cards in one. and you can clear patron with your coliseum representative.

The dream:
Turn 6 : Thaurissan reduce cost of this and sylvanas.
Turn 10: Play Sylvanas and this.
Seriously though, not sure how good this one is going to be. People play a lot of annoying minions with deathrattles.

Yes, you can still attack with your minion that survived (obviously the one with the highest attack) after the effect of the spell happens.
