Hello Hearthpwn community. I currently have 885 dust and was wondering what Epic cards are the best to craft in the current meta? Class-specific cards and neutral cards count. Also, if I should disenchant any of the epics I already have to save up for useful legendaries, which cards should I disenchant? (I already have Ysera and Tirion Fordring)
Out of all the classes I tend to play/enjoy Druids, Hunters, and Paladins the most (I also love Warlocks but their epics don't seem very solid in my humble opinion).
Yeah I definitely don't plan on disenchanting any of those - they've helped me a lot. Cards like Patient Assassin, however, have me raising an eyebrow. As a 1/1 I feel it's easily removable by AOE at the time it could be useful - i.e. mid-late game when your opponent drops a legendary or a meaty card like Ironbark Protector, etc. Every class has a spell that could remove Patient Assassin just by simple AOE so I'm not too sure that I want to keep it.
Nah, but there ARE a few I have in mind: Ancient of War, Bestial Wrath, Avenging Wrath, Lay on Hands, Blood Knight, and maybe one of the giants. I'm eyeing those pally cards because that's one of the classes I've been playing a lot lately, but at the same time I'm getting bored of my paladin decks and I'm considering starting a druid deck.
It really depends on what kind of deck you're interested in playing. The cards you mentioned are all solid choices. For druids, both of the Ancients are staples in many of the competitive ramp decks, and Lay on Hands is a great choice for pallies. Other strong neutral cards to consider are the Giants, Faceless Manipulator, Big Game Hunter, and Murloc Warleader. If you're going to disenchant any of your listed epics, I'd probably put Mind Games, Patient Assassin, and Bane of Doom at the top of cards to consider dusting. But its really all up to preference and how patient you want to be in completing your desired decklists and eventually your collection.
From that list, if I had to disenchant anything, it would be:
Patient Assassin (You explained why, it's very vulnerable, but if enemy doesn't have AoE spells it can make some good plays. I hardly ever see it anyway).
Mindgames (I'd DE both, it's a really high risk / random card)
Bane of Doom (Another quite random card, imo warlock has much better or more reliable options for removal).
Gladiator's Longbow (I'd DE one, it's quite expensive for running x2 imo, and many decks don't even use it at all. Anyway, I'd keep one copy cause it's not a bad card).
From that, the ones I don't really like are Bane of Doom and Mindgames, about the others I'm not sure, but as said I think one copy of Gladiator's Longbow is enough. I'd just disenchant any of them if you really need that dust, if not better keep them.
It would be nice to know which classes you tend to play more, so we can tell you what cards could be more valuable for you :)
Some good neutral legendary cards are: Sylvanas, Ragnaros, Leeroy Jenkins, Thalnos and Tinkmaster.
Remember that's just my personal opinion, hope it helps :)
OK, now seeing that... both paladin epics you want are quite strong, I use both. Sometimes I run Avenging Wrathx2, sometimes I just use x1. And you already have Tirion, which is probably one of the best class legendaries, if not the best (but an übervaluable pick for a Silence, so play it carefully :3).
The druid one (Ancient of War) is really good too, and used in many druid decks (sometimes x1, sometimes x2). In fact, I see a lot of people whining about that card "being OP" (in my opinion, again another very vulnerable to Silence card, but if you can't deal with it fast, it's very strong).
For neutrals, Big Game Hunter is a bit situational but can save your ass some times, and it's not a terrible drop even if you don't take advantage of its battlecry. He's quite good if you are running a class that doesn't have a lot of hard removal. Sniping that huge Ragnaros with this little dwarf is just great.
About the other class-epics, I think they are not as important for that classes as the paladin/druid ones.

Epics I already have:
Druid: Force of Nature
Hunter: Gladiator's Longbow x 2
Mage: Ice Block, Spellbender, Pyroblast x 2
Paladin: Sword of Justice
Priest: Shadowform, Mindgames x 2, Cabal Shadow Priest
Rogue: Patient Assassin
Shaman: Earth Elemental
Warlock: Bane of Doom, Twisting Nether
Warrior: Gorehowl
Neutral: Faceless Manipulator, Molten Giant
Epics I'm considering crafting:
Druid: Ancient of War
Hunter: Bestial Wrath
Paladin: Avenging Wrath, Lay on Hands
Warrior: Brawl
Neutral: Big Game Hunter, Blood Knight, Sea Giant, Mountain Giant
Thanks for your time / help in advance.
Ice block and Pyroblast are core on mage and EE on shaman as far as I know. I really like Shadowform on priest.

Oh sorry I thought that was a list of epics you were thinking to craft :d

Have a nice day!
Thanks! I'll update the post to include that info. You also have a nice day too!
Absolutely, you get a nice day, and you and you, everybody gets a nice day.
