Seems like it has a fit in some kind of control or C'thun deck with light warden and the 3/6 a super heal C'thun deck, put in the hooded acolyte to draw C'thun as well. Also great with Acolyte of Pain and wild pyromancer. Between this and the new warrior weapon it seems like they are trying to edge token decks out of the meta, which would have a huge impact on what the meta ultimately ends up being.
I'm jealous of Warlocks. They got the early game aoe necessary to effectively combat early aggression with Defile. Spirit Lash is pretty much a combo card meaning, for it to be effective, it has to be combo'd. IE: Bloodmage Thalnos. But then it's no longer a single card 2 mana aoe but rather a two card 4 mana aoe. Let's be real, that's really not that good. Defile is good on it's own, no synergy necessary. Really good in fact. Amazing even. A solid stand-alone early game aoe. That's what priests need and Spirit Lash is not it.
And yeah, I know people make the argument that you shouldn't compare one class's cards to another because reasons. All I'm saying is, Warlocks got an early game aoe that will actually see constructed play and will be slotted into 30 card constructed decks where priests got an early game aoe that, barring any significant synergies we haven't seen yet, will not see constructed play outside of Lyra shenanigans and will not likely make the cut as one of a deck's 30 cards.
I freely admit, I could be wrong. Spirit Lash could be the end all be all of early game aoe. But a 2 mana aoe that only does 1 damage and also weakens your side of the board seems bad to me. Aoe is intended to slow/stop your opponent's tempo and unless it's actually removing minions, which I don't see this card doing (at least not reliably or on it's own), then in my eyes it fails as an effective aoe.
Really needs spellpower to work, otherwise it won't actually kill anything. Healing isn't enough, you need to kill your opponents board for this to be worth it.
Hits acolyte for ez draw, heals for alot, scales with spell damage like thalnos well, cheap way to dump your hand size, me like for my combo priest, you should like to.

So along with Spell Damage the Lifesteal doubles? or even higher with Malygos?

Prophet of Velen + Spirit lash : Deal 2 damage to all minions and heal 4 health to your hero for each !!

Voted playable.
