Loved it, yep, now i am happy. Just need to wait and see what aoe they are going to give us, since Dark Iron Skulker is rotating, they must add another one.
No, they don't lol. I think they'll be removing all aoes for rogue and focus on single target removal.
Wow! Amazing card, in some ways better than assassinate, not sure if anyone has mentioned it but it can also hit not targetable by spells and players targets, such as soggoth.
Assassinate on a body? That's amazing! This is honestly such a potentially great card. I'm honestly blown away that Blizzard actually had the mind to give us something this good. Now, that being said, this card is only really good on one condition. The meta slows down and instead of the game plan being flood the board, turns into play 1,2,3 giant minions then the value of this card is amazing, if it's still flooding the board then this will see as much play as the kidnapper. That being said, as much as I want to believe in this card, this just makes me more mad that the legendary is strictly worse then an epic. And it makes me wonder WHY the legendary wasn't given a poisonous tag. That'd complete this whole poisonous plant theme for Rogue to a perfection
This is quite good, I'm excited to have such a high potential card in rogue. It has high synergy with bounces, and even more with Shadowcaster. Despite this being 5 mana, the more cards we have with strong battlecries/weak bodies, the more viable the quest becomes. I'm excited to test this card out.
However I wouldn't go overlooking the combo of the card. If you've played cards like Kidnapper or Shadow-Pan Rider in the past you'd know that activating combos on high cost cards is actually more awkward than it seems, even in rogue. You're probably not getting this card out until turn 7 or 8 without wasting resources in some way. In addition if you can't combo it, then it's a 5 mana spider tank, which is considerably worse than Shadow-Pan's 5 mana 3/7.
Also I can't see this fitting into any successful style of rogue deck that we've had in the past. With blizzard reluctant on giving rogue board clears, and refusing to print rogue or neutral heals, it seems unlikely that this would find a home even if were one of the best cards in the expansion.
Very powerful card is a must play in any deck that seeks to utilize the new rogue quest. Between Shadowcaster and every other bounce mechanic in the game, this can easily get nuts and kill multiple minions.
Give me a break. This is an 8 mana card with effect and stats combined. It will easily find play, especially if the new rogue quest takes off. This card is incredible value when bounced. Also, don't know if you noticed or not, but there are a lot of 5 mana 8/8s running around. Sap isn't good enough to take care of giant minions. This card is.
Might be hard to pull of combo in a meaningful way tho. Without our pillaged coins this is taking away gadget value. Basically I just don't see which cheap cards you'd want to combo this with in a gadget deck.
I thought they learned through kidnapper that high mana cost cards with combo just don't work. I'm really skeptical of this card, I think i'd rather just play assassinate to guarantee reliability when I need it. Shado-pan was another 5 mana combo card that was extremely difficult to get off unless you had the coin.
How do you figure this???? You play this with a 0,1,2,3 or 4 mana card to remove a huge threat. It's not that hard.
Needs 2 cards, so useless in a control deck. Sap is better in a miracle deck, too slow for an aggro deck and rogue mid-range is just a dream on the horizon.
Dead on arrival.
That's just I want to say. lol a lot stupid players dream so many perfect combos cuz they never play rogue for high level. This forum is full of them.
Don't know if you know this or not, but what you consider "high level rogue" is dead on arrival come roatation. Btw, have fun sapping your opponent's 5 mana 8/8 taunt. I swear, someof you are terrible players. This card is worth 8 mana. It will see play, and it becomes insane when you start bouncing or shadowcasting it. (No more azure drake in standard means this and shadowcaster are the most viable replacements.) Cards you will naturally run in the new quest for rogue. This card is good as is, it becomes nuts if you even manage to shadow cast it once. It becomes a 5 mana 5/5 destroy a minion if you crystal core, a 1 mana 5/5 destroy a minion if you shadowcast and crystal core. And trust me, the only class I play is rogue, activating combo is not hard. If it is hard for you on turn 5, you are not managing your resources properly. Aka, you are a bad player.
The shadowstep value is of the charts here.... Amazingly strong card which is good because thats whats required to make bounce decks viable, this card might be able to carry such a deck its verry strong.
Also this is instant staple in Miracle were Azuredrake on 5 slot is a gonner.
Very good card by itself, even better with the rogue quest. It depends on the meta if it's able to show all its potential. But I will be happy if I get it in a card pack. Really happy. If I am unlucky I could even craft it to give it a try. That's how good it seems to me.
I like the art a lot. As for competitive potential - we'll see.
Yeah, this card is stupid good.
5 mana Assassinate with a 0 mana 3/4 attached (meaning it's also reusable).

The coin fit 3 minions, Vancleff, Auctioneer and this one.
All rogue decks will use 2 coins in list.

If Galvadon ends up being popular. This card will be the single best way to take him out since he'll usually be elusive.

Shadow strike
Assassinate
Vilespine
Blade of C'thun
Lots of single target removal for Rogue

I really don't know what to think about this card. It is a giant tempo swing, But 5 mana is a lot to combo. I can see this being played. we''ll see
