If the quest system start to count at the moment you play this card, it will be okay to strong (Legendary card, so chance to have it early is kinda low so unless you have it really early you'll need extended game or N'Zoth to trigger it. So possibly bad against Aggro.
If the quest system start to count from the beginning of the game, it's meta defining.
the quest will be part of your opening starting hand. You have the option to mulligan away if you want.
I want to like this card, but, all I see when I look at it is, 'Pay 1: You have one less card in your opening hand.'
I guess it might be good, it's at least INTERESTING, but I worry that the dowside of always having it in your opening hand will be too costly. I wish they had gone the extra step and made these quests into cantrips.
One last point, this is terrible if you are playing 2nd. You now are faced with either coining out your 2 drop deathrattle card I assume you have in your deck or playing this and delaying your coin til at least turn 2, making it less valuable.
Ok, I watched the video now. Looks like the reward in only after the quest is completed. Slow card. I dont expect us to complete the quest before turns 5-6, not even turns 8-9, so this card is bad against aggro decks.
Those legendary spell cards are clearly designed for control meta. I have some hope in HS again.
They've been "expecting the meta to slow down" for years now and it just never happens, only gets faster. There used to be a time you would die with 0hp by turn8 against hunter, now it happens on turn 4 against Pirate Warrior.
Unless they print some serious comeback tools and healing this card is 3/10 garbage unplayable. At least with Reno you could save yourself on a lucky turn6, this one you can't.
I don't see the hype in this card. You HAVE to play this legendary spell on turn 1 thus are short a card for most of the game and skipped your turn 1. You then have to play 7 deathrattle minions which is a lot. Assuming you only ever miss a single drop you still don't get the reward till turn 9. A turn 10 5 mana 8/8 that full heals is not very exciting. This is also worse when you factor in you might not draw this legendary spell till turn 7+ or the fact you need to play with almost half of your deck with death rattle effects, thus playing sub-optimal cards.
The 40 life is solid, although I feel will be far to slow unless Pirates gets some significant hate cards or more nerfs as it only loses Sir Finley Mrrgglton and has a small nerf to STB, thus 90% of the deck is unchanged.
Edit: Jade Druid is still going to be a near unwinnable match-up and I doubt this will change that.
Because priests are famous for being busy turn 1, riiiiight. It's always in your starting hand, so you can do something other than passing. Then you build your n'zoth board and get your 5 mana legendary that is basically a reno on steroid.
You should at least attempt at reading comprehension before responding to a post. The problem is not the lack of plays on turn1, it's the fact that with this in your deck you basically start the game with one less card in hand since it does nothing the moment it's played. So if you go first you start the game with 2cards, and if you go second you start with 3 and a mana disadvantage.
In a game that's so focused on tempo and having all the right answers at the right time this is a massive handicap and could easily lead people to lose games they would've otherwise won.
I expect it'll be a Prince Malchezaar type effect. You do your normal mulligan. There is a Quest in your deck. It is revealed and added to your hand. Game begins.
ie it does not take the place of a starting hand card. That would be too brutalizing for what is supposed to be a feels-good card.
But since it is a card in your deck you could mulligan into it, like Patches.
Shudderwock means driving a clown car in circles around your opponent while he swings his sword at you. Half the time he chops you and your car to pieces. The other half you park on his legs and 40 clowns come out one by one, trampling him to death.
Uh, guys? Nobody said you'd have 1 less card in your hand thanks to this.
If you look at the video, the Priest has 4 cards in his opening hand and no coin, ergo, this is added to your hand in addition to your opening hand. Since you probably have to add the quest to your deck, this means your deck is actually thinned by one card, and it's not like priest has traditionally had the most proactive turn 1/2 anyway.
Actually, if there's a Rogue quest out there, that means Rogue would always have a 1 mana spell to combo with. Neat!
Nevermind. Apparently it just always shows up in your mulligan.
With the current state of the game this is a terrible card to play, forcing you to play deathrattle cards in an aggro heavy meta. You will more than likely be dead before you play those 7 cards. (Not to mention giving up your turn 1 for zero board presence)
Priest has limited 1 mana card slot anyways so that argument is dumb.
Doubtful. Does anyone ever get The Storm Guardian from Firelands Portal?

My reading skills, despite english not being my mother language, are fine thank you.
You have 1 less card? Sure, but you'll get it back later.
With PW killing people by turn4 that "later" is likely never to be seen. If this is supposed to be the replacement for Reno it just won't work.

If Awaken the Makers does actually count as a spell, it has really nice Wild Pyromancer synergy, as Awaken the Makers is always in your starting hand.

This card seems somehow viable in Wild N'zoth decks now:
I expect it'll be a Prince Malchezaar type effect. You do your normal mulligan. There is a Quest in your deck. It is revealed and added to your hand. Game begins.

Might have to revive my token/deathrattle priest! Herald Volazj might actually see play!

Firelands Portal will not summon this card because it is not a collectible card.

nice card, will come a bit later than reno, but what an effect if played against aggro.
