If you have been salty about the game lately then this is for you.
So in standard mode at the moment there is a flood of Zoo Warlocks and aggro Shamans/Hunters (some aggro players like to claim they are mid-range, but if a deck can beat you by turn 5 I would say it's aggro). I really, REALLY, hate facing these decks so I thought I'd give wild a try.
Wild mode is now so great and so competitive. I had assumed it would be inundated with secret paladins, and all the old hateful decks that Standard Mode removed.
Reasons it's so amazing:
There is a nice even mix of all classes - not ONLY Shaman and Warlock with the occasional other aggro deck (i.e. Aggro warrior or paladin)
The meta in wild is weird, in a very good way. No one posts Wild decks on Hearhtpwn - so what does this mean? Because not every brainless ape can copy the latest aggro shaman, people are actually building their own decks! Every match is unique.
From rank 20 to rank 9 I have encountered only a few Dr. Booms and very few secret paladins. All of the heinous old decks are not part of the wild meta anymore.
I enjoy making my own decks and facing people with skill and forethought — I have even managed to climb to rank 9 so far with a ramp druid that uses Alarm-O-Bots and 20+ cards with a mana cost of over 6.
If you are sick of playing a game to see who top decks the most damage in the aggro race then you should join me in Wild.
There are so many fun decks on ladder in wild. I've been playing nzoth reincarnate shaman for a while, and you'd be surpised by the number of mirror matches I come across.
Sure, go there - but if you play cancer (aka any net deck or one that has even potential to do any tempo plays) stay out of Casual and please stay above rank 10.
I for one prefer Wild too. Much wider variety of decks there. And a lot less Aggro Shaman, C'Thun and N'Zoth decks which I'm already tired of in Standard. Oh sure, every now and then you face a deck in Wild which could be deemed over the top. But one of my best Hearthstone memories was the Paladin who rage quit when I cast Flare right after he cast Mysterious Challenger.
Oh, and if your favorite class is Priest then Wild is pretty much where you need to be.

Wild in the 10-20 ranks makes me feel so dirty. The cards people are using aren't good. There are so many misplays. I have only played it as an easy enough place to clean up quests with my weaker classes (priest and paladin mostly) and I just have stomped on through it. I was surprised to find much more new people in the wild ranks than standard.
Same experience with a wide variety of decks. I was thinking about tweaking some of my weird standard decks to buff them up with wild cards. I love rogue and it's been tough with the Healbot being phased out.

Wild kinda feels like a "points don't matter and the rules are all made up" kind of place. With that being the case, I'm not sure why anyone would want to do Wild casual except to tune and test decks.

The Wild Ranked kind of jumps from beginners to budget decks, whereas in Casual I find p2w and/or long time players trying out fun stuff.
Wild is my only hope for some fun. Even though I don't win a lot with my homebrewn deck, most turns last more than 10 which is far better than Standard.
They need to reserve some new cards that are more exclusively towards countering previous expansions (i.e. Mechs), yet still solid for arena. Plus these expansions will eventually be cycling back in.

I don't doubt that eventually some cards may see their way back into standard I don't really see them bring back entire expansions.

My guess is that when it's rotated back in; they might consider series of nerf on whats rotated back in, since they mentioned they want to limit it as much as possible, but if it comes to that, they want to do it through transitions.
Dude I'm sorry but you're playing this game wrong. Winning is just a means to an end. The goal of the game is to have fun making cool decks and trying new interactions. I just rank up for the dust and to craft more cards honestly. Ranking up for the sake of winning, using something like zoolock or aggro shaman, just sounds supremely boring to me.

Dude I'm sorry, I don't know when you became the supreme authority on how to have fun, but you're not. Get over yourself. Different people have fun in different ways. Your fun nazi ways sound supremely boring to me.
Sure , I'll got right back to getting fucked over by Dr. Boom RNG, having to put BGH in every deck even tho it sucks now and NOT being able to do fun decks because Secret Paladin dominates everything
also, Zoolock and Aggro Shaman are just as potent in Wild as in Standard, so what's the difference?
I can play fun decks in Standard too and at least there I'm not missing half of the cards I need.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

Don't forget, hyper charged N'Zoth Secret Pally's - sure, you got Eater of Secrets, but they have Keeper of Uldaman, Sylvanas Windrunner, Tirion Fordring, Dr. Boom, and N'Zoth, the Corruptor to bring them all back!

Nope. No way am I going back to that fuckfest.
Wild is love, Wild is life.
And I can play as Priest in Wild! Yohoo!
After 2 seasons reaching rank 5 in standard, I will start climbing rank 5 in wild next season.
Disenchanting all the wild cards is quite unnecessary tbh, I feel sorry for those who regretted.

There are still many paladins in R7~R5, most of which are secret pally. Bring your eater of secrets and go wild!

Guys, you need to redefine what fun means and than you will have a lot of it.
For me winning = fun and loosing = sadness .
The higher the win rate - the higher the fun
That being said I will go back to my netdecked (optimized) standard Zoolook to fast crush everything that does not have all the answers ready .
