I dont't know if it was just a theory, but when it came up in the past i heard that it means that all brawls implemented in the current patch have been played so the game needs to be updated before the next brawl.

This isn't true, though. Patch datamine still has some chalkboards we haven't seen, and some strings that haven't been used. This could be true but it isn't currently.
Seems as though it was a pre-patch message. My Blizzard app just ran an auto update (I'm playing on macOS) and now it displays the usual number of days until brawl returns. Odd.

It seems like this has come up a few times in the past but I've only been around since the months before Old Gods dropped.
Anyone else seeing that brawl is "Closed for Renovations" instead of the usual message?
Also, anyone know what this usually means?
