I've had some success lately with my Quest Rogue. However, when I got to some of the higher tiers in ladder I decided to make some minor changes (changed a single card). Since then, I have played 10 matches in ladder. Below are the notes I've taken after completing these 10 games. I found the details very interesting.
1. EVERY SINGLE MATCH WAS AGAINST HUNTER!!!!
2. I LOST EVERY SINGLE MATCH AGAINST HUNTER!!!
3. WHAT IN THE HOLY UNITED AIRLINES IS HAPPENING IN THIS GOD-FORSAKEN META WHERE I CAN ONLY GET OPPONENTS PLAYING HUNTER WHEN PLAYING MY QUEST ROGUE.
4. I'M AFRAID THAT IF I GO INTO ANOTHER MATCH WITH MY QUEST ROGUE AND SEE A HUNTER ACROSS FROM ME I MIGHT THROW MY COMPUTER THROUGH MY WINDOW INTO MY NEIGHBOR'S POOL. (My neighbor is an unrelenting idiot by the way, so punishment fits the crime)
Seems like that's a question you should be asking yourself instead of the group. Perhaps you should do so as reassurance that you can read. This is no doubt an accomplishment that must've taken you decades to master. Letters, words, sentences, punctuation...it's probably all a bit much for you right now. Just take your time little buddy. You'll get there.
I was hoping to see some replies with some helpful information for those of us who still want to play Rogue quest. I also ran into the same issue. I felt unstoppable for a while, like I couldn't lose, then came the Hunters, and now it feels like I can't win. So for me the question is....
Is Rogue quest still even playable? I'm afraid the answer might be that its no longer playable. Or are the some changes that can help it against hunter, or a strategy that I'm missing.
@gamrkev Good question. I'm glad we can turn this into a strategic discussion.
After I encountered the blitzkrieg of Hunters defeating my Quest Rogue I decided to tweak my line-up to account for some of the common cards I was seeing from Hunter. I added cards like Shaku, The Collector and removed cards like Violet Teacher. Also, I added a couple of smaller cards as an alternative Quest minion so that I'm not stuck waiting for Swashburglar, Novice Engineer, Southsea Deckhand, etc. I've had more success with Quest Rogue since.
That being said, I do believe that this particular ques perhaps more than most others is strongly dependent on Mulligan, and early draw. If you don't pull Shadowstep, Youthful Brewmaster, or Gadgetzan Ferryman early you are pretty much dead against any aggro decks.

You should go for a walk or something. You need a break.
Change your deck and you will not play against hunters anymore.
Greetings, traveler.

Midrange Hunter is the most popular deck on ladder. Sounds like you just need to change your deck.
I understand how you felt when I met 5 quest rogue in a row too.
