I'm not here to whine or complain. I also don't know what i'm here to ask for. I love Hearthstone but i'm just so frustrated with losing 9 out of 10 games. I'm on a losing streak just trying to complete the dailies. Had win 5 games with paladin for like 2 weeks since i can't win anything with paladin deck lol.
I've searched around on here, i have tried different decks for different classes. i've poured money into this game getting cards but i cannot seem to find a consistent steady deck that i can win with or a class i can win with. I'll find a deck that someone says they win 99% of the time then i'll go and lose, then delete it and try another deck.
Maybe my play style is bad, the order i play things is bad, or something. i'm just tired of losing and would like some advice on something. I just don't know what i need help with. I've invested a decent amount of money so I'm in for the long haul i just need to know how i can be a better player.
It's a bit based on my preference, but I guess that the best general advice I can give is to prioritize board control over trying to attack your opponent. While I mostly tend to play control type of decks, I find that it's more reliable to make a bad trade/trading one thing too much instead of attacking your opponent directly and expect him to trade for you. By expecting your opponent to make the trade, there is more chance that he will do something you did not expect and gain a much superior position than he would have had otherwise.
Due to similar reasons, I find instant damage to be very important to be able to handle those unexpected scenarios. There is rarely any deck of mine that I haven't squeezed in a card]Wolfrider[/card] into as an instant 3 damage is enough to get me out of many sticky situations.
Other than that, I can recommend you to tune into someone streaming the game over at Twitch.tv and observing them play the game. Preferably you want to watch someone that is very informative and explains why they acted like they just did. Not all of the more popular streamers tend to do that though so try finding one that does. There is a lot of videos at Youtube that also possibly could help you.
Even though people state that they win 90-99% of the games with a certain deck , the truth is that these numbers are neigh impossible in a CCG/TCG. Another thing to remember is that there are a couple of factors in winning a game ; 1 is the build of the deck itself , but another big part is the actual playing of the deck. Be sure to read what the builder had in mind and how he plays it (if you get a deck from someone else, most of them post short info about plays and "you-want-this-in-your-starting-hand"-cards). Decks can take a long time to build and perfect , a lot of play testing goes into picking the individual cards. Don't play 1 round with a deck and delete it when you lose ; 1 round isn't enough to get a feel for a deck and to know when to play which card and what to mulligan for. Take at least 5 rounds and then decide if the deck is suitable to your play style (PS. "I just want to win" isn't a play style).
Meta (what's style or deck is the flavor of the month) always shifts and changes ; it normally goes Control (last meta) -> Rush (current meta) -> mid game (the meta in a couple of weeks) -> Control etc. Every deck has a weakness and if it isn't their ; the devs will create a counter to certain decks (IE. you'll probably see a change in OTK-Hunter decks soon).
There are a couple of really great guides and small how-to's on these forums which should help you with general building and playing ; watching tournaments on YouTube will help aswell.
Playing and learning a CCG/TCG takes time and effort ; give it both of those and you'll learn about the game, recognize plays and you'll improve ; no one is born an allstar cardflipper. Just don't give up and turn to the community for help about decks you've build or questions about playstyle , meta and other things ; The community here is pretty helpfull so take advantage of it!

Agreed. One of the most obvious goals of TCG designers is to calibrate the game in such a way so as to ensure that a deck like that doesn't exist. Granted, balancing is never perfect and certain decks will tend to have a higher win rate than others, but never by such a huge margin.
thanks all for those words of wisdom. I do tend to go for the opponent directly and leave low damage cards up only for them to somehow buff them up and i can't beat it. But i have the opposite happen all the time too where i focus too much on clearing the field that i can't damage the opponent. like i don't know what the balance is for that. I'll try to watch some live streams to see if i can learn something. It would be nice if there was a deck analyzer in game or a tool that pointed out where you messed up in the game. I've been in the beta now for about 2 months so if i haven't had anything click about strategy yet then i do need to look more for help in the live streamers.
This is probably a silly idea, but if you can play a game, record every thing down and post it here, I'm sure people will analyze it for you. You can either record it as a video or use text like:

Turn 1: drew Frostbolt, pass; he played Northshire Cleric then coin then Power word: Shield on Cleric 30/30
Turn 2: drew Gurubashi Berserker, hero power in his face; he healed himself then attacked with Cleric 29/30
Turn 3: ......
Man it'd feel like reading a research paper if written like that for 20 turns :) But hey that or video, I'll always take a read/watch if you are struggling to get to grips.
