Hi guys I'm Spark and this is the cheapest deck that I use for laddering, but still pretty efficient : Zoo Warlock. I made some tweaks to the popular version of this deck to adjust to my preferences.
The funny thing about this deck is that it is pretty cheap and still can climb the ladder at a huge speed for you. Don't get fooled by the archetype tho, the goal is not to get to the face constantly but instead using your early board presence to control the board and makes the trade that are favorable to you while burning the opponent down ;) Really great and fast at all ranks.
There is no deck to rule them all, so yeah I'm pretty sure you can find an easy counter to it. The thing you have to think about is what's played in the meta ;) The only one I see being played a bit on the ladder (and not that much so it's pretty safe to ignore it and lose against it) that correspond to your description is Handlock, and it's really greedy with their life's total so there is always room to win ^^
Don't play on tilt man =0 And yes Watcher Druids and Charge Hunters are bad match ups for you, if you face too much of them switch deck ;) If you're not satisfied with the deck and think another can do better, you are not forced to play it at all ;)
And by the way I think that the Shieldbearer are kind of outdated now (the meta shifts fast) so I need to tweak the deck a little bit I suppose, need to see how people are doing. Anyway, I face a lot of these Zoo decks even at legend level so you must do something bad or just had an horrible losing streak =/
Shieldbearer is incredibly good against hunters assuming you have something to buff the bearer. Removing your Shattered Sun Cleric greatly devalues Shieldbearer (consider that if you go second, on turn 2 you can have a 1/5 taunter with shieldbearer/shattered sun cleric). I'd wager it's a good idea if you are replacing the cleric, that you can find a replacement for the shieldbearer (possibly mortal coil, or you can go to the opposite end of the curve and put a Leeroy and argent commander in there)
Edit: If you want to keep it on the low end of the mana curve, I'd go leper gnome for more aggro, or bloodmage thalnos + 1 loot hoarder for card draw/control, plus thalnos might give you that occasional soulfire combo for removal or for the win.
Edit 2: Or put back in your scarlet crusaders. I'm really not a fan of dark iron dwarf, I'd much rather have leeroy in there than dark iron. Turn 9 leeroy + doomguard is often lethal if a game gets that far.
Yeah I feel that they are doing ok thanks to Abusive Sergeant and Dire Wolf Alpha, but sometimes in the mid game against good board control decks, i feel a little bit behind in term of tempo and it slowly causes the defeat so I'm really considering cutting them off for Mortal Coil/Dark Iron Dwarf or things like that. On the other hands, they sometimes help to just protect your minions on more turn and that can be a decisive factor that allow you to make good trades or damage the opponent. I don't know yet, I have to do a little more testing around that since I didn't played with it too much recently ^^
Oh yeah I can see you are running a variant really similar to an older version of mine ;) As I explained in the write up I don't run Leeroy because I feel that I've got enough finisher and he kinda has to stay in the hand for finish so I feel really bad about having him in my hand with Soulfire or Doomguard =/
With the release of those cards, I basically switched the divine shield synergy to a deathrattle themed deck. Nerubian Egg into Void Terror is one of the most satisfying combo to pull out and Power Overwhelming works pretty well with those too at the point that I'm wondering about adding a second one instead of the remaining Abusive Sergeant. There are also many other ways to activate the egg thanks to the existing buff engine. Undertaker comes with the annoying Haunted Creeper that works pretty well with the existing core of the deck : Knife Juggler, Dire Wolf Alpha and Defender of Argus. It's also powered up by the other valuable deathrattle minions such as Zombie Chow and Harvest Golem to improve the consistency of this card.
Yeah off course :D But I think i'll need some time to adjust it the way I want to because the current version was created in the Miracle Rogue era which will just die with naxx. First i'll post a beast focused hunter that fits the meta pretty well, just need to try out those webspinners ^^
Good stuff :) Im very much looking forward to it! Beast syngergy decks are my favorite out of all decks. Just not as viable as I would have liked. Im looking forward to that! Webspinners wont be much longer till you can test them :D
Yep I totally go your way about that and as I said I think i'll definitely include it as it is the new (and better) argent squire for board control. Really need to try and see how the drawback interact in close games ^^ By the way, as I'm not a huge fan of Zoo (kind of mainstream and not that entertaining to play), I don't play it that much, so playtesting is a bit slower for this deck ^^

I used to play with Shattered Sun Cleric instead of Blood Knight and Amani Berserker, it is also really solid that way if you're working on a low budget. Mortal Coil is also a card to be looking for if you don't really like Abusive Sergeant. I used to play with Shieldbearer but I just found them not as useful as they used to be.
I highly recommand to check my write up to understand my choices.
Don't forget to rate it up if you liked and don't hesitate to post on this thread or in the comment section of the deck if you have any question ;)

Hey guys,
I updated the deck with the release of Naxxramas. See changes below :
Naxxramas changes
- 1x Abusive Sergeant
- 2x Argent Squire
- 2x Young Priestess
- 1x Amani Berserker
- 1x Blood Knight
- 2x Scarlet Crusader
- 2x Argent Commander
+ 1x Power Overwhelming
+ 2x Undertaker
+ 2x Zombie Chow
+ 2x Haunted Creeper
+ 2x Nerubian Egg
+ 2x Void Terror
With the release of those cards, I basically switched the divine shield synergy to a deathrattle themed deck.
Nerubian Egg into Void Terror is one of the most satisfying combo to pull out and Power Overwhelming works pretty well with those too at the point that I'm wondering about adding a second one instead of the remaining Abusive Sergeant. Yeah Nefusha my opinion will be set tomorrow =D
My opinion on Zombie Chow is not fixed yet, need to try this out before, probably swapping out leper gnome if the drawback isnt too much punishing ^^
