i took a good look at my collection and figured it was maybe time for midrange, elemental overload shaman. I'm currently testing it at rank 9 to see how it fares. any1 tried this and has some feedback on the list?
earth ele, I think, is a must with the Snowfury. I've enjoyed messing around with a giant shaman for a long time now ( Brighteyed Scouts mountains Gs etc atm) My version certainly does not work :D, however, I have seen that EE+SFG rapidly ramp you into some very big turns. I think the Ancestral Spirit control version might be worth exploring.
In your version, ThingFB, when you've 6 totems and spirit echo in your deck, is a must. You might then fit the EE as you'll be reducing TFB cost rapidly to counter the OL.
I think a good way to experiment with SFG might be to start with lots of Overload just to see the potential ramp then reduce the OL incrementally from the experience.
TBH i dont know, the list needs an overhaul, a card like Aya makes 0 sense. I've been away for the weekend so i might mess around with a new iteration tonight as i CBA'd to climb the ladder more with my normal deck.
There's enough elemental overload synergy to push an archetype, I just think it's weak in the standard meta and in in wild overload really needs to be an agro deck to have a good winrate.
These are my experiences as a mostly shaman player since day 1.
I'd consider playing doom hammer no matter what, it's a great control card or face damage and gives the overload you're looking for.
Maybe this? It will prolly be too clunky with so much overload. Im just not sure if snowfury giants alone are worth it. Maybe try implementing those 2/4 guys for 3 mana which stats increase with each overload card. But how is this good in today HS world where you can summon 2 lich kings by turn 5 or flood the board on 2 already.
The way I see it is that you dont want to get too greedy with aoe. No hex required because you have a lot of big guys and 2 devolves. So basically you try to mulligan for lightning bolt, jade claw, sometimes for mana tide, sometimes jade lightning and just keep the board clear until you can throw your giants for free/much cheaper so you are able to copy them with spirit echo or buff with ancestral spirit.
What you could also try is cutting jade package, add 2x stormforge axe/sunfury protectors/eternal sentinels, 2x stormcrack, 1x doomsayer/mana tide totem/?halazeel? I think you should definately try sunfury.
If you like deck building im sure youre gonna have a lot of fun testing it all.
Dont forget that you can get only 1 copy of a minion from spirit echo.
Hm, if you play some overloaded elementals perhaps you want to include some Deathspeaker (one mana more but sometimes more efficient than Ancestral Spirit + gives you 2/3 body). or even maybe one Hozen Healer. Just a thought...

Hey Guys,

Why don't you post it in the Deck section?
6 overload cards? I can't imagine Snowfury Giant could ever be cheap.
Flamewreath discounts it by 2, jade claws by 1 and LB by 2.
In my playtest games i got to play it for 6 most of the time.
In a previous version i ran Dust Devil but i hated the lock out on turn 2
