After getting stuck in rank 9 with Shaman for a week, as we know, zoo and hunter are Shaman's worst enemy, no matter how loyal I am to Shaman there limit to it.
Then I decided to switch to tempo rogue which is my 2nd choice as I really like the initiative of the deck, searching for a most recent tempo deck, here I am.
After 34+ matches over 70% win-rate using this deck list (though it's still premature) I'm rank 5, surprise surprise my most won matches are against zoo, handlocks are obviously dreadful but when they tend to get overconfidence with their life total, they got punish by the surprise damage of Cold blood, which won me a number of games.
Hunters are coin toss it all depends on each other's starting hands and following draws. Druids are tough especially when they innervate out minions you can't handle.
Yep that's pretty much it for the match ups (even tho i find hunters a little bit more in my favor than a coin toss but yeah it can happen as they deck is a bit slower), thanks for the positive feedback i really appreciate ;) Druids really depend on how they can do tempo plays or not, but I think every class are having the same issues against them since Innervate is pretty OP in that regard ^^
I don't think that 4 six drop is a problem here, Chillwind is a possibility if you don't feel good in the mid game, you'll probably have to get rid of Spiteful Smith ^^ Go check the write up for more details ;)
The second Blade Flurry subject was also already covered, I think that 2 would be too much, you'll just make use of it against Zoo (a deck that you already beat most of the time) so that kinda suck =/ You need more weapons to play with 2 I guess ^^
Honestly, I find him a pretty effective mid game body. Either the opponent have to use a hard removal on him (because of the 6 toughness and the fact they don't want him to be enraged), which will allow Cairne and Ragnaros to do the job, or they just can't deal with it so I generally use it to trade something and power up my weapon. The other possibilty for them is using their 4-damage spell + trading a minion (unlike a Yeti that they could ping with some hero power or Argent Squire to help the spell finish the job), so I'm pretty happy about this 2 for 1. Taunting him with Argus is quite painful for them too (think of taunt Doomguard that has an enrage effect xD). Like i said in the write up, he allows me to fight really well against common 4 drops, so that is basically is purpose. However, as you can see in my little description of the tournament, in certain match up you'd rather just have a Yeti (but that's generally not the case). In general, turn 4 is often just Argus my minions if i'm ahead or comboing something to come back, so I don't really feel the need of a simple 4 drop, on the other hand, I really appreciate to have that solid 5 drop coming on the board after all those early minion fights.
Can't really say this works for me. Very seldom do I have minions still alive for DoA to buff. And I don't really understand how this deck "eats zoo for breakfast". I get pretty much overwhelmed by anything aggro/zoo like. Would be happy to see how others handle those decks cause I sure can't. Overall, this deck isn't working very well at all. Guess I just don't know how to play it but I have way below 50% win rate with it.
I guess you're missing something so =S Maybe your mulligan is innapropriate or you don't play your cards with caution I don't know ... I'm not calling you a newbie or something, just that the deck doesnt fit your playstyle probably. Because I'm actually rank 1 and had no problem laddering with this deck (even tho I play it less know that the meta shifted a little bit) I'm surprised by what your saying anyway, at which rank do you play ?

Ok that is still weird, those ranks are easy peasy for this kind of versatile deck. Maybe you don't mulligan properly or trade decently with your minions/weapon. I think it requires a bit of experience tho, normally the deck is pretty consistent in that regard but you have to use your cards efficiently ^^
Or maybe i'm not aware of any kind of curious strategy at those rank. I recently hit Legend and this deck sure helped me get through especially (rank 9-4 with all the zoos)
Well, the decks I've encountered are hardly "newbie" decks. A few of them are but mostly I have to deal with handlocks, midrange shaman, control warriors and the occasional miracle rogue. Pure aggro deck are also a problem. Doesn't really matter if I remove their chargers after they already inflicted damage. More than once have I been down below ten at round seven and at that point all it takes is a Kill Command or Soulfire and it's GG. And it's not like you always will have DoA to stall them. Midrange shaman seem nigh impossible with all their removals that seem to be designed to deal with this kind of deck. And I still can't see how you should deal with a warlock zoo when he has 5 minions, 2 with taunt and I haven't got a single removal in my hand.
Not to say I haven't won games with this deck. It's just that I haven't experienced the awesomness of it that others seem to have. Still not even close to 50% win rate. A few videos how it should be played might be nice, cause I just can't understand how this deck can make it to legend. Gonna stick with my other decks, since they work way better than this one.
I think you may need to remove some of the late game power to add in Defias Ringleader and Chillwind Yeti in order to deal with this meta. That's the only idea I can think of right now.
As many of you asked for those things, I added on section on the write-up that will be interesting to get used to the way the deck is playing early on : Mulligan Strategies and Early Plays
I used to play him, and I felt that giving more consistency to the deck, was better than running a random finisher (even tho Leeroy is awesome). Moreover we already have some huge burst with cold blood, commander and eviscerate but those feel more versatile than Leeroy.
Sorry, this might be an awesome deck for some but I just can't get it to work. Been loosing too many ranks so I'm not playing it anymore except maybe in casual mode. I seriously can't see how it can be successful. Opponents have answers for pretty much anything I toss at them. How do you handle an Ancient of War and the next turn Ysera? Or other heavy hitters. Even with removals, your hand will be nigh empty and your board as well.
Appreciate the effort but this deck is definitely not for me.
Yep that's conclusion =/ I made a write up and mulligan and early strategies that can help maybe, but you're not the first telling me so I guess either you're playing it wrong or it just doesn't fit your playstyle =/
Don't forget that you can win every game tho even with the best deck ever, so your sample size may be a little bit too small ^^ Last thing, never netdeck a lis and go straight to ranked with it, especially since rogue requires a little bit of practicing, else you're just going to loose rank as you did ;)
But how SHOULD you play it? HOW do you play against a hunter who goes for your face and get's you below ten health before round 6? Or against a control warrior who keeps your board cleared while waiting for Garrosh/Raggy? Or a druid who just pops out alot of taunters that are just out of reach for your BS/eviscerates? Or a mage who blasts everything you throw at him? When I've been up against this type of rogue deck with my other decks, I really don't have any trouble with them. They seem to lose the same way I do - just simply unable to maintain board control.
How do you, as you say "crushing aggro decks while staying resilient to controls"? I just never have my minions out long enough for them to be effective. Would really love to see some game playe videos of how it should be played.
Just recently, I met a druid who by turn six had 2x Druid of the Claw, 1x Harvest Golem and 1x Chill Wind Yeti out and I had 1x Spiteful Smith. How should I handle that? The game before a shaman where I couldn't remove hos wolves effectively and when he started to play Fire Elemental, I had nothing left to answer with. Just a few examples of what I come up against and I can't see how this deck should handle that or even prepare for it. Tried this deck eight times today, not a single victory so far.
Sometimes you just have to admit that you'll lose the game. But I can't see how those situations can repeat as much as you describe. You have to focus more on clearing your opponent's board than extending your own, I guess that's probably what people reporting issues with making this deck work don't think about. And what you describe reminds me a lot of that, so basically you just play your cards to kill opponent's stuff and make their turns pointless, don't just throw some random minions at them after they established board control because they will just snowball on that. Rogue requires a lot of practice, so practice and think about your mistakes then you'll improve ;)
Still don't know what I'm doing wrong so I don't really know what to practice on since I appearently don't even know how it's to be played. You talk about play out your cards to kill your opponent's stuff but more often than not, my opponent's stuff is far tougher than what I have. I can't even start to maintain board control because what I have is too weak. Or what he has takes too many cards to remove, like Druid of the Claw or even a simple Yeti, leaving me with a nearly empty hand. Or they just swarm the board and you have to hope to top deck the only AoE you have. While I struggle for board control, they just fill upp faster than I can, no matter what I do. I can have two minions against their empty board and one turn later its the other way around, and I have nothing left to answer with. I generally never had any problem with playing rogue, but this deck is not working at all.
I would still like to see a video of this deck and it's dominance.
Yeah Druid Match up is generally hard, particularly if they can innervate out a big threat early on. I'm sorry that I can't help you more, I play the deck since a long time now and I feel it pretty consistent ... hit Legend with it, made third place in a tournament, so yeah it is good if played properly. But slow match ups tend to be hard so if you feel that you encounter too much of them, you have to switch deck ! Laddering on Hearthstone is like Rock-Paper-Scissors, this deck just tend to beat aggro and lose versus control, that's all. There is no deck to rule them all ;) Unfortunately, I'm not planning on doing some videos on this deck since I'm just a random player that like to share his knowledge and I don't really have the time for doing some gameplay videos.

I wonder if 4 six drop is abit too heavy? Sometimes I find myself nothing to play on turn 4, do we need Chillwind or Sen'jin in the deck?
What do you think about 2nd Blade Furry?
I don't think that 4 six drop is a problem here, Chillwind is a possibility if you don't feel good in the mid game, you'll probably have to get rid of Spiteful Smith ^^ Go check the write up for more details ;)

What do you think about Crazed Alchemist in Rogue?
It makes Backstab and Eviscerate more versatile like against Keeper, Druid of the Claw, Twilight Drake, Armorsmith, Frothing and etc.
Oh yeah that's actually not a bad idea, and can starts the combo because of its two mana. the downside is that the body on it is not that great =/
