I need to get something off my chest. I'm currently at the point where I instant concede when I see Rogue playing their quest card. It's pointless for a priest to even try to battle against them. 95% of those battles are lost. Now I know that some decks always have benefits over other decks but quest Rogue vs Priest is just too imbalanced.
What do you guys think should happen to make it a bit more fair?
Instant concede is something I never expected to do but I just don't see the point in even trying to battle them anymore.
I instant concede as well against quest rogue. It is a complete waste of time playing against them as a priest. Blizzard should just make it so that priest players don't get matched up against Rogues that have the quest in their deck.
Rogue as always been priest bane, nothing's changing. Last year it was almost the same story playing against Maly rogue. Rogue go through it decks, play emperor : OTK for 30 life.
Get over it. Quest rogue insta concede against pirate warrior and token druid

I have never felt the need to instant concede to anyone with any class. As there is always a chance to win. Even against OTK decks. even when Maly rogue was a thing. Quest rogue is different. in more than 75% of the games a decent rogue player has it's quest completed by turn 5, or when they have the coin at turn 4. That's just too fast to respond for priest.

I agree with you that Quest rogue can make you feel completely helpless. But quest rogue can feel like that against most decks. We never saw a deck who can output 20+ damage from hand turn 5/6 even on a high roll.
I played silence priest season 35 and I think I had around 35% win rate against Quest rogue, that is low but not insta concede low, while when I played Maly rogue after Karazhan I had something like 85% win rate against priest. I lost against priest when both auctioneer and Malygos were in my bottom 5 cards. The difference is that the game took longer and had a little more interactivity. Quest rogue has an empty board during 4 turns then reset the game then kill you.
Game is mainly balanced now. But some deck always were hard counter of another (think armor up warrior against freeze mage).
But I think you are playing the control priest deck which means that rogue quest is here to farm you. As Raskol told you, dragon priest is a better choice if you meet a lots of Quest rogue
"Pointless for priest". Dude, there are many priest deck variations right now, maybe you need to tweak yours. Mine is a spell heavy lyra/medivh one and I have 40% winrate against quest rogue. Try to keep cheap removal cards and cheap board presence cards and bring them low on hp early, then as others said before me its all a matter of how low you got them and if you have your clears. It is an interesting matchup, even if unfavourable. Keeping your potions if possible for Igneous Elemental can be helpful too, disrupts their plan sometimes.
I played some rogues while playing drago but also with inner fire/spirit -> result 10/10 northshire by turn 3......this can do the trick, but you need enormous luck and card draw...but i have a feeling with the mana reduce of the elemental and the possible priest buffs, there may be a way to gain immense tempo even as control...it stays tough nontheless, but i think this early possible tempo is not well realized by most priests.
Why concede? They are relly weak in early game. Spells like Dragonfire potion, potion of madness are good against them. Also I saw pint-size potion + shadow word horror combo. And shadow visions should be auto included in every priest deck
Balance is not 50% winrate of every deck for every class, it's impossibile. Simply put your deck has its strong points and its weak points has EVERY other deck.
Yes balanced means that one deck archetype will have a better chance.
Personally I think QR is the most obnoxious deck out there, I also run the deck for those random daily quests that give me gold for playing rogue.
I only play priest on ladder as a personal choice. If this game were made to be completely balanced it would be a rock scissors paper setup. And currently QR is the rock to priest being scissors. I think that's fair though perhaps not balanced.
if you want to complain about balance issues in the game there are many threads on that. But class vs class balance, that's a tough issue and again my personal opinion, individual decks aren't the issue. its the deck archetype balance that's the issue. Make each archetype have a hard counter and an easy win. Otherwise aggro will consistently be the way to go for speed and ease where as control will continue to be tested but not true.
Again as said through out the post, this is opinion, not fact.
I feel there is nothing to do. I play like 3 different priest decks and there is just no point to even try. 2 weeks into the expansion i started concede all games against rogues as soon i see the quest pop up. Luckily meanwhile there arent so many of them anymore as in the beginning so i just have to concede like 1/10 of all games.

I don't think anyone is arguing that the matchup should be 50/50, merely that it is so lopsided that it is frustrating.
QR is a solitaire deck that preys on anything that can't be played very aggressively, and to add insult to injury your own choices are fairly inconsequential to whether you win or lose against it.
I feel my post is misunderstanded by some people. Please note I'm not trying to find a perfect balance in this game. It's perfectly fine to see quest rogue win like 70% of the games vs Priest. As long as there is a decent chance. And sorry to say this but the Priest players who say they have a 30 to 40% winrate vs quest Rogue is utter bs and they know it.
Anyway, thanks for your input all. It made me realize to just accept it and keep in mind that quest Rogue at least loses most of their games against pirate warrior.... Some payback for those guys. Ghehe.
so I usually loose to priest if they play silence deck and can get a huge minion within the first 4 or 5 turns where I don't have Vanish or prep + Vanish on hand = no answer.
I also loose to dragon or control priest if they play 2 x copies of DFP and can get one copy more from discover. I usually can't beat 3 x DFP's.
in all other cases it is like free win - that's true ..
EDIT: I almost forgot about another important point !! if you can steal Igneaous Elemental with potion of madness and the rogue player did the missplay to place other minions on boars so that you can trade it and get the 2 fire elementals, the rogue is really fukked up most of the time and takes ages to complete quest if you are lucky !
Really ? I love facing quest rogue on my dragon / lyra priest. Just had a turn 3 2 PWS on radiant into a 2/7 + 2 DS 2/28 and IF next turn nto a 28/28 for turn 4 he conceded =D They dont have any taunts outside bilefin and some run tar, and no removal outside 2 bs, so no matter what the minion cleric, priest of feast or radiant, if you can buff that baby up they are essentially dead. Obviously sometimes they get extremely lucky and finish quest on turn 2 =3 and can start bouning charges but overall I dont mind quest rogue as priest.

When I play Zetalot, I ALWAYS instantly Concede against Priest. It's like-- why should I even try -- I am going to Win no matter What!
I enjoy.

Hard mulligan for shadow visions and dragonfire potion. Helps a lot.
That's Incredible!

Is anybody using Mayor Noggenfogger in their control Priest list?
This has the potential to screw things up for Quest Rogue and Token Shamans?
I'm seriously considering crafting this just for fun.
