I don't have Eadric, but it looks interesting. Does Enter the Coliseum work well for you? It's kind of like a weaker and more expensive brawl IMO. BUT that combos really nice with Aldor Peackeeper. So it allows you to have control over who wins the "Brawl". But combos are harder to pull off and that requires turn 9 or later where as Brawl is often a good turn 5/6/7 play just by itself. Regardless, no Brawl for Paladin.
Enter the Coliseum has been MVP on more than one occation :) and its more reliable than doomsayer, which is my main reason for using it
What rank are you currently playing?
Rank 10 atm, havent been ranking a lot this season so far. Mainly been tinkering with decks.
What are your most common plays with Enter the Coliseum? Do you tend to combo it with Peacekeeper, or do you just play it and then take damage from the minion it doesn't. Or do you often find yourself able to somehow combo with with trading effectively to remove the last minion? I suppose you can combo it with Keeper as well for a 10 mana combo.
Its flexible but most commonly i use it as a stand alone card, to to wipe an enemy board full of low attack nerds leaving only one insignificant threath on the board. Think zoo, mech mage, paladin dudes, tempo mage etc etc. The meta fits Enter the Coliseum pretty good right now, i feel.
Control warrior dont stand a chance if you chip away at their armor whenever you get a chance. Warrior is my most preferred matchup and taking them from 60 health is no real problem. The first anyfin strips them of their built up armor, the second one puts the nail in the coffin as you commonly get 2 Murk Eyes that hit for 12-13 damage on the second one.
So in your Control Anyfin deck, do you feel Tirion is more valuable than Dr Boom as a big minion?
He is more conrol tool than big minion. Taunt, and if not silenced, he even gives you a weapon you can use to kill minions.
Meanwhile, I've removed Enter the Coliseum for Doomsayer and Shielded Minibot for Doomsayer, since they basically have the same value on t2, but Doomsayer is better later on (dropped after board clear, ensures nothing comes on the board for the whole turn).
im 50 gold short to craft dis deck (sweet baby jesus)
It´s the new Secret Paladin. Of course it has nothing to do with Secret Pali, but ya know what i mean.
This deck will rule over the earth for about 2 more seasons till it gets an atomic NERF.
Hope it doesnt..... did anyone beat this deck? what i mean is "Did anyone survived the 2 anyfins?"
Cheers to yall!
Anyfin is completely beatable and isn't OP at all. Face aggro decks are strong against it, and Mid Range Druid is strong against it. But honestly, I think it can still use some tweaking. I think it'll just get better with time. Assuming the meta can't get any more aggro that it currently is. If the meta shifts more towards control Anyfin will get even better unless a lot more Loatheb/Sheep/Hex/Entomb type cards gets introduced.
I don't believe this deck is up there with Secret Pally. The birth of Secret Pally was a perfect example of teh designers introducing a broken card. Anyfin isn't broken because it's so combo based. But MC can literally win games by simply just playing that one card on turn 6. You can't just play Anyfin on turn 10 and win. It requires a lot more combos than that. That being said, playing Anyfin gives me a lot of the same excitement that playing Patron did.

Yeah the Control Warrior matchup is very good for Anyfin. Their sole win condition is them Alexing you, then comboing you the very next turn. If you can avoid that you win.

RIght. I see it being useful in those situations. But when Druid plays Dr Boom you really have to combo it with something to remove the 7/7 or else it's just not going to work. I may try it (just one) sometime. Not sure what I would cut for it though. Maybe the refreshment vender which was previously my Dr Boom.
So in your Control Anyfin deck, do you feel Tirion is more valuable than Dr Boom as a big minion?
He is more conrol tool than big minion. Taunt, and if not silenced, he even gives you a weapon you can use to kill minions.

Yeah you gotta run 2x Doomsayer in the control version. It's so good with Solemn Vigil. It's a really good turn 2/3 play on a board that only has 1 minion. YOu're forcing them to have removal for it, and when they do they are wasting it on a 0/7 2 mana minion which is really good value for you. And it stalls 1 turn which helps a lot while you draw into your heal/draw/combo.
So I've played a lot of handlock and renolock in the past. I find in that deck Dr Boom gets so much value because you have so many big minions that opponents are using removal on everything else by the time they get to Boom they're out of removal. Or you play Boom on 7 and by the time they get to a Giant or 7 another big minion they're out of removal. But in this case I feel Dr Boom isn't as effective because he's the only minion over 7 attack. So he's the only minion in the deck that is a real removal target. Then you look at a guy like Tirion. He has 6 attack so BGH can't touch him. BUT he doesn't have boom bots, and boom bots win games. Idk. I'm not sure what to do with that spot in my Anyfin deck.
What would you say are the best opponents to use Tirion against? The worst is probably priest, but that matchup is amazing so no worries there. How's Tirion vs Aggro Shaman and Druid? Those are probably Anyfin's worst matchups.
Nevilz list is the best I think - you should try it. Reminds my a Freeze mage a bit - Lots of clear + Lots of Heal + Murlocs
The list i'm using is very similar. The reasons i've deviated from his list are as follows:
Swamp Ooze isn't THAT useful right now. Even vs Aggro Shaman, there have been games they've beaten me and I held that card in my hand all game waiting to nuke his weapon but by the time I could it was too late and he had killed me.
Muster for Battle is amazing value vs aggro and tempo decks. It also combos well with equality and solemn vigil. It gives you another cardt to keep in the mulligan vs aggro. Where swamp ooze isn't a very good keep vs secret paladin, muster is an instant keep in most matchups. So one of the cards I cut for a Muster was swamp ooze and I don't regret it at all.
Acolytes help card cycle, but the majority of times they only get you 1 card and they do not trade well at all and often times end up being duds when I need a card that helps me get board control. If Paladin had some sort of whirlwind effect they'd be much better in this deck. But you really don't get to play acolyte + wild pyro + coin the same turn very often to achieve that whirlwind. My wild pryos tend to be saved for equality the large majority of the time anyways.
I think an interesting debate in this deck is comparing sludge belcher to refreshment vender. I often times jump back and forth between running 1 belcher and 2. Right now i'm running 1 belcher and 1 refreshment vender. I find the vender very good to be honest. It's heal can't be silenced and that 3/5 body trades really well vs aggro. Healing the opponent by 4 literally means nothing when your anyfin delivers a huge swing. But a belcher's taunt and deathrattle is amazing no doublt. The jury is still out on this comparison but so far I've had really good experiences with refreshment vender in this deck.
it is better then the meta snapshot from tempostorm.com says. The abundance of Secret Paladin and mid-range druid are a pain though.
I agree, it's much better. Those matchups are very tricky, but to be honest I've figured them out. I'm considering writing a guide but I selfishly don't want the deck to become popular because I feel that it's stupid good. My Secret Paladin matchup win rate is ~50% and my Mid Range Druid matchup is about ~40-45%. It used to be more like 25% but i've finally figured it out (been playing nothing but Anyfin for the 1+ months. And Aggro Druid is really easy for me, so any non Mid Range Druid gets clobbered hard.
Here's the current win rate (for the Anyfin list they have up, which in slightly differs from)
Win rate vs:
Tempo mage is higher than 40%, higher than 50% IMO. Mech mage is super easy. Control Priest is higher than 80%. Once you figure it out the only way you lose is by a miracle or if you make a mistake. It's about 90% for me (including some mistakes i've made and learned from) Aggro Shaman @ 50% is about right, mine is higher for some reason. Not sure if I'm running good or not, but my win rate vs Face Hunter is really high too so I think I've figured out how to play against the SMORC decks. Zoo is really hard. If you play against a really good Zoo player I believe my win rate vs Zoo from ranks 5 through 1 is about 40%. TempoStorm says 50%. Honestly, the Zoo players at rank 3 through 1 are really good. They have minion placement down perfectly (for the most part) and they really play around AOE hardcore. The deathrattle minions and OTK kick my ass. That being said, I'm still managing a decent win rate. The hardest part is the Zoo mulligan is slightly different than the other Warlock mulligans so it's hard to get the mulligan right since you never know who you'er playing. OTK Golem/Leeory Warlock is really good vs Anyfin. Not sure on the win rate becuase it's a small sample size. But they typically out draw you from life tap and coil. The times i've beat them their Combo was buried or I managed to out draw them. The times they win are when they OTK me with 24-30+ damage and they just out drew me the whole game. Freeze Mage owns Anyfin. 25% win rate sounds about right. This is the toughest matchup because you can't mulligan for Freeze Mage since Tempo Mages and Mech Mages are more popular. And the mulligans are so different... So I basically just lose 75% of my freeze mage games because my mulligan is slightly off and I only win when I get lucky or they get unlucky. Malygos Rogue is tough. They always out draw you. So you need to mulligan harder for murlocs and get them out ASAP. And don't be afraid to play the first Anyfin without the 2nd one in hand. It'll make them shit their pants and play on their heals. Oil Rogue doesn't intimidate me. Not sure how they figured that win percentage on Tempostorm. I haven't lost to an Oil Rogue yet but I haven't played more than 3 though so really small sample size. Basically get them to waste their weapons and spells on your minions and doomsayers. And mulligan harder for murlocs again.
you guys think that 2x belcher - 1x humility is better than 1x belcher - 2x humility, right?
I played with 2x humility so far but I'm not so sure about it.
2x Humility & 1x Belcher is good vs decks that play 1 or 2 minions per turn. 2x Belcher and 1x Humility is better vs Face decks (face hunter, aggro shaman) and also better vs Zoo. Vs Druid I'm not sure which is better. I like belcher because they have a lot of 5/5 minions that once they hit into belcher have 2 health (and that's dead to consecrate and bluegill). Belcher also blocks Combo where as Humility only slightly slows it down. Although there are times when the extra humility is amazing vs Druid. When you have 4 cards that reduce health to 1 you can even start slinging them on Shredders and Azure Drakes if need be.
Aggro Shaman @ 50% is about right, mine is higher for some reason. Not sure if I'm running good or not, but my win rate vs Face Hunter is really high too so I think I've figured out how to play against the SMORC decks.
My aggro Shaman matchup is worse, since I only play 1 healbot, fortunately it almost vanished from the meta, also it is anyfin but unwinnable.
Disagree. Zoo is a good matchup imo. I think Sir finley is the card, that shifts the matchup in my favor. Sir finley into turn 2 coin Warleader is almost autowin, you can hardly lose from that board. You should really give it a try.
Disagree. You know that the combo can only hit you when emperor has been played. So as long as he does not play it, you play very greedy. And if he gets played, you better have a belcher in hand or more then 20 health. I think it is a favorable matchup.
Agree. The sad thing is, that freeze mage is one of the few counters to secret paladin. The good news is, that it is a skill intense deck and 80% of the players cannot play it correctly, so you can sneak in some wins. The key is healing up after alextrasza hits the board and just be faster then your opponent - which is luck dependent.
Unsure. I don't run into these very often, so I cannot tell.
Regarding Zoo. I think was running bad. I've played 4 zoos in the past two days and beat them all. I've started keeping Consecration in my mulligans vs Warlock and it's paying off. Only when I feel like it's probably zoo though. This morning I faced off against 3 warlocks in a row and 2 of them were DemonHandlock and the other was Renolock. Weird... Someone must be streaming it.
Regarding Shaman. Yeah 2x Healbot and 2x Belcher REALLY puts shaman to shame. I haven't lost a game to shaman in a while (but I don't see many either) because of those 4 cards. I played a Shaman last night who dealt 51 damage to me in 11 turns and I still won. It was sick. Felt like i was healing and belchering every other turn.
Regarding Freeze mage. Right. You need to be prepared to heal and even Aldor peacekeeper once they play Alex. The games i've won against Freeze mage they either don't draw Alex, or don't draw their 2nd ice block, or they really don't know what they're doing.
I have to revise my opinion on the tempo mage matchup. If they play Antonidas correctly, it becomes really tough to win.
Most of my matchups depend on that card as well. But he's never been an instant loss for me. You gotta plan for him. What do you typically use your equalities on? How much draw do you have in your deck? You need to remove Antonidas immediately. If he lives one turn, you're probably dead. I always save my equality + removal for him unless opponent is down to 1 card and it's all up to top decking then I'm just all in. Use Aldor and Humility on the other threats (Conjurer/Boom/anything else) and save one equality for Antonidas.
I find that Tempo Mage's biggest weakness is running out of gas/cards/etc. The key in doing that is to force them to use their fireballs/frostbolts on your minions. If you can get him to fireball your doomsayer then you have a foot in the door to win. That's such a horrible use of 6 spell damage. Get them to commit to a minion or two on the board, and then play a minion along with Doomsayer. They'll feel obligated to clear the doomsayer with anything possible even key removal spells. Then you clear the board or heal up. They'll keep over committing and you'll eventually wipe the board
Played a couple game today and I'm still at rank 1. I've been getting disconnected like crazy. One game i got disconnected twice and both times when I reconnected I was just in time to see the card that I milled from missing my turn! Haha, what good luck i'm having.
I've lost my last 4 games vs Secret Paladin because they curved perfect starting from turn 1. They just don't run bad, ever. All I need is a three game win streak and i'm legend. Tonight, It WILL happen! I just need like 2/3 hours to sit down and play Hearthstone without getting overwhelmed with other things.
One thing that's annoying, some of these Anyfin games take FOREVER. My games seem to take 10-20 minutes each. Usually the long games have good outcomes (control vs control decks), but grinding to legend with control decks is very painful when you're playing casually and you don't have 5 hours a day to commit to playing. If I were a preist, and I saw a murloc come out of a paladin deck i'd instantly concede and save myself 20 minutes of pain.
Made it! I nailed that 3 game win streak I asked for. Two Secret Paladin followed by the the final boss who was Renolock. Last season I fell a little short with a lot of learning curves. But this season I've nailed Anyfin. I love this deck.
Control warrior dont stand a chance if you chip away at their armor whenever you get a chance. Warrior is my most preferred matchup and taking them from 60 health is no real problem. The first anyfin strips them of their built up armor, the second one puts the nail in the coffin as you commonly get 2 Murk Eyes that hit for 12-13 damage on the second one.

hey guys any good deck lists wanna give this a go?
