I know it's early after tgt release but I was wondering if everyone things the secrete pally deck will be one of the meta decks we see played more often. I have the secrete pally deck, seems to win against most oponents, but I'm only rank 14, how does it compare to the ladder climb and the meta decks right now like handlock, zoo, and others like that. Just a topic I thought I'd bring up
I disagree, I believe this deck has a ton of potential played right. I was able to go from 14 to rank 8 last night solely using this deck. Of course rng and bad runs can affect any deck. I played against most deck types and prevailed, it is hard imo to understand what to do in certain situations similar to the patron deck though. I've seen other secret pally decks running 5 different types of secrets, that's overkill imo. I run three different types with supporting cards and found a nice balance.
People keep trying to push the secret theme with the ebola deck - I think this is wrong. I've had far more success with midrange/control - idealy belcher into challenger into boom into tirion into gg.
When the dust settles, secret paladin will be a solid tier 2 deck that will see significant play whenever warrior counters become popular (like Totem Shaman for instance).
I hope they nerf Mysterious Challenger - 7 mana or deathrattle instead of battlecry. Too strong for now and everyone started abusing it. 5 games in a row vs this cancer.
I'm also farming this stupid deck with my Dragon Priest. So hilarious to see it fail. They cast Mysterious Challenger and put 5 secrets.
I attack face with a weak minion and proc: Noble Sacrifice, Avenge and Redemption. Then I lightbomb or SW:D the buffed Challenger. Then next turn their only dude triggers competitive spirit and... concede!

So what happens when you don't have those exact two cards and board control?

Hit them with a 1/1 (or whatever) and then Silence the guy that gets Avenged.
By turn 6 there´s a big chance I'll have board control AND removals in my hand. Try harder. No deck is perfect but Dragon Priest >>> Secret aggro pala
I'm with you that dragon priest is stronger than secret pally, but your scenario WAY too out there to actually prove your point. You can't reliably pull a perfect curve AND have the perfect removal. Sure it'll happen every now and then, but when your opponent is also playing a tempo oriented game, you can't rely on something like that.
I really enjoy playing this type of Paladin deck. My only concern is fine tuning it to be able to handle aggro in the early game but still be able to outclass control decks in the late game. Late game, as of now, seems to be fine running things like Sludge Belcher, Quartermaster+Muster for Battle, Mysterious Challenger, etc. My only qualm is drawing the right cards and secrets in the early game. Sometimes aggro decks just outright run me down before drawing a Shielded Minibot, it sucks D:
Hmm I have a secrete pally deck, granted I'm only rank 14, but I don't seem 2 have a problem against aggro, maybe I'm just getting lucky with card draw I also haven't faced too many meta decks, and ppl that know how to use them.

I'm really not impressed by this deck TBH. I know what your "secrets" are and they're all pretty easy to play around.
