I had this exact deck at the beginning of the ungoro meta and hit rank 3 fairly easily but now I find the murloc package to be better for tempo and help against quest rogue and jade druid. But still both decks are extremely good and fun.
A similar control pali list got me easy rank 5 last season. I played elemental buffadin, this control pali, nzoth pali, murloc pali, normal mid pali and mid murloc pali. I think the mid murloc is the best now.
Provided it gets a good start.
Imho, the full control build is more consitent, but slower to climb with.
Yeah Elise could work, I'll give her a shot. I play her in the other control version but lets see how she does in this one. I don't think we need a 2nd drake though as you will get the value from the cleaver and jungle.
I dislike murlocs (regardless if it is in a meta where they are "good" or "bad"), so I prefer the one without them.
I don't know why I don't like them, they just irk me. I think it is the art design of the cards more than the effects.
To be honest I was the same before but came to love em down the road. I can't remember when things turned around but it should be when water rogue became a thing.
Id say its way too greedy. Your early game is like none nevertheless you decided not to run doomsayers. Also very little synergy with tokens. I play token contorl paladin a lot and youve got to find more ways to buff your tokens especially if you run vinecleaver and lost in a jungle.
Also some people are suggesting elise but Id highly recommend to focus on token strategy. Again especially with vinecleaver and lost in a jungle.
PLD is my favorite class, but unfortunately I don't have the legendaries -nor the dust for them- that I need for a successful Murloc PLD deck or others of the most popular. So I've settled with a Elemental buff PLD deck. It can be very vulnerable with a bad draw but otherwise it's still fun to play and for now I have a 60% winrate with it (rank ~13 40 games played with it so far).
I happen to love murlocs find them adorable. Too bad I don't have Finja, the Flying Star :<

Do you even hear yourself? That's what's always been funny to me on hearthpwn. That is savij's deck and he hit legend rank 1 I believe it was. Never said it's mine. You're also wrong I believe. Doomsayers are very bad against current iterations of aggro as already pointed out and you do not want to go all in on the tokens with stegadons. Dirty rats are essential to the deck as well.
How can you even tell it makes the deck weak? If you just want to keep "sayin" sth then atleast give a proof to support your opinion or dont say anything because you didnt test the deck with changes. And i didnt say a word about deck being your creation.
He might have reached rank 1 legend but it doesnt have to mean its good for climbing nor good for ranks other than top 100 legend nor that its the best version viable.
Deck is greedy as fucking hell and thats all i have to say.

Others already echoed what I said. Your suggestions are not good because - doomsayers are just bad right now against aggro and I already explained to you, you do not want to go all in on token synergy, idk what part of it was not clear :D. Dirty rats are great as well due to their ability to disrupt your opponent's combo/synergy and whatnot. I've tried fiddling with your ''suggestions'' before you made them as those are things you sort of come to realize by playing the deck over time.
I have tried something very similar. It did well against control, not so well against aggro. I would personally not dare run a control Paladin list without Doomsayer, or you will get rekt in the early game too frequently. Recovering can be difficult since you pretty much need Equality, which means that you need to go through a third of your deck on average. Not that easy without draw in the deck.
I chose to not run Dirty Rat since I feel that it's only really useful against Mage in this meta, and I'd rather tech heals against that matchup.
Stegodon might be good, but my gut feeling is that it will often be stuck in your hand because you don't have board control and can't afford to hold on to Lost in the Jungle for a combo.
Hmm yeah. I see some people like them, some do not. (doomsayers). Truth be told however, I prefer the midrange paladin shell at the moment. I personally do not like the doomsayers at all. Dirty rats can help in almost every match up considering you have plenty of removal at your disposal.

Dirty rats are a risk. MOST of the times can win you the game on the spot. Sometimes they will lose you the game if you play them on curve. However, Dirty rats are amazing when you have established a board, and also crazy good when you are fishing for more stuff to equality/Consecrate.
You know what? I dont give a fuck about what other says. I made my golden paladin hero in a year of HS gameplay and I would always play my variations of paladins decks.
Its so easy to win with any kind of paladin deck in current meta that im even bored to play this class. And yes i know this sounds like ima fucking asshole but its true. There is this player called Zetalot. Very good Polish streamer but he casts in english. He only plays priest. And its what ive been doing for most of HS but as paladin.
Doomsayers arent fucking bad against aggro these days. OFTEN times it even goes off if you go second against aggro decks. When you go first then it really goes of even more often. And then you are fucking ahead and can clap like a damn clawn in your hands because your opponent just lost all the tempo.
I asked you for a proof for me version being weaker than the one you posted and what you gave in return was "others already echosed what i said". You know how often "word" of others is worth not more than a broken penny? Most of people advices come from wathcing streams or reading some1s thread. But people dont try to think for themselves and figure out whats actually the best. And then they repeat what others (streamers, forums) have already spoken.
What do you guys think about this deck when compared to the usual murloc shell? Have you tried it?

I'm playing Murloc atm, seems to fare better against the meta, even though I have such shitty draws that I think about uninstalling, lol.
I've no clue what I'm doing...
im playing dragon pally now, with key cards The Curator, Sunkeeper Tarim
so much fun
=D
Try Elise. Also, probably a 2nd Primordial drake.
If you don't get enough value from Lost in the Jungle and Vinecleaver that is.

-1 lightlord +1 spikeridged.
-2 dirty rat -1 ivory knight +2 doomsayers +1 lightfused stegodon
The bad thing about Doomsayers, is that they are amazing against midrange decks, but almost useless against current aggro.

The thing is that when a deck like this has taken the board, you've usually already won that game :)
