I got to thinking one day, "Why not Reno Jackson for a hunter deck? The hero power provides steady pressure, and we can use the control tools to slow down the opponent until we get to the late game".
Then I went to get a root canal (true story) and thought about it some more while a dentist took a chainsaw to my lower jaw. It provides perspective - I highly recommend it to anyone, because you need to be kind-of a masochist to consider control hunter at all, let alone a Highlander Reno Jackson hunter.
Between discover, creatures that cycle themselves into beasts, and dudes that deathrattle into more dudes for value, I feel like I can usually maintain steam until the late game. So far, I've been reasonably effective, winning more than I have been losing. I don't keep a deck or match tracker running, since I mostly play on mobile during my commute, but let me know what you think in the thread or the deck comments. Suggestions are helpful.
I'm not expecting it to be a top tier deck by any means - I think there's too much RNG in the cards i'm using to keep going (webspinners, ball of spiders, ram ranglers -- discover is great, but as a Reno deck i've only got a couple of those) - but i'm having fun with it. As with any non-face and non-midrange deck, it seems people really don't know how to react, and if I can increase the overall confusion in this world by even a little bit, then I feel like i've made an impact that I can be proud of.
I thought about feign death and more deathrattle minions, but feign death is even more useless if you draw it alone without anything to play on. I might revisit it later, though, after I run this through the wringer some more.
Early game isn't so bad, since most of my spells do impact the board in some way, even if it's just to kill some dudes and stall to the mid-game.
Bit woozy from all the novacain so i'm keeping this one short :)

But anyway, here is the deck:
