Shudderwock has had a bit of a rollercoaster ride through its life. On relsease it was everywhere and people rioted about the animation time and, to an extend, how "powerful" the otk was. Then it was quickly realized that, in reality, the card sucked, with a winrate well below 50%.
Fast foward past the nerfs, and hsreplay has decks including Shudderwock at 51.6% winrate. The meta section of hsreplay still has the deck at a 46% winrate, but the stats haven't caught up on the meta, with even paladin still up there and secret paladin being confused with even paladin decklists if you check for the "most popular" or "best performing" secret paladin decklists. In other words, the meta section of hsreplay.net isn't to be trusted yet.
If the average winrate of decks including shudderwock is really at 51.6%, then the deck has left tier 4 and is probably around 3 or 2, in other words, viable, maybe even on ladder. The decks with the card hover around 53% on the site. I don't play otk Shudderwock shaman, but for those who do, can you confirm if the deck is now good? I have the card myself, so should I try it, and do you people still vehemently dislike the deck, as people did on release?
I find the non otk Shudderwok decks perform better on ladder. Instant huge board, small aoe board clear, some face damage, some heal, possibly card draw and/or card generation, is pretty good value for 9 mana.
Also the "otk" has never been one turn. It is at least three turns... one to set up grumble, two to play the first shudder, and finally 3 to actually kill the opponent. Steps 1 and 2 are 10 mana plays that leave your face vulnerable, which is why it will probably never be a tier 2+ strategy.

Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
While i went back to taunt warrior for ladder i build a shaman deck wiht shudderwock that performed very well. I got about 50% winrate and am not save to say it´s better then tier4 but it´s definitely very good. Check out my crazy witch deck. I stoped optimizing a few days ago. It feels like the right small tewak and it will run rampage ^^.
If it can deal 30 damage in one turn then it's an OTK combo. Just because it takes a few turns to setup doesn't mean the combo can't kill you from 30. By your logic there are no OTK decks because you have to play other cards during the game.
The card IS OP. No question about it. But the deck is only as good as the support cards. Right now the deck is fair. This will change because next expansion there will be huge support for the deck, and then Shudderwock will get nerfed.
It's a very predictable pattern of Team 5's design strategy at this point.

I just hit legend playing an Elemental Shudderwock Deck (EU) ... so it's at least viable enough.
Played exclusively from Rank 3 to Legend. Winrate around 55%.

Good players win above 50%. But i run into many players that play it wrong. The card has the risk of being OP depending on the next expansions.
