So I just have an epic match using a Dragon Priest against C'Thun, and I happen to draw the C'Thun back quick enough to see it. Turns out not just did it get reset to 6/6, but it could neither get buff from his Twilight Elder on board. Is this bugged, or is it intended but worded wrongly? (as previously seen with Druid cards)? If that is the case this really have to be clarified.
if the twilight elder was on the oppontents borad then its working correctly, they said it before it even came out that the buff is player based not c'thun based so c'thun in your deck/hand/board can be only buffed by your buffs and if you steal it it will lose its buffs
Your C'Thun in your deck is still 10/10 unless you buffed it between entombs and whatever C'Thun is in your deck (whether it was his or yours) is 10/10.
Basics of C'Thun: Sap doesn't reset his buffs as buffs as attached to the person who plays the buffs, Entomb doesn't steal your opponents buffs (your Cthun will be 6/6 without your own buffs), The stats are reset to whatever he was buffed to even if it was silenced/health to 1/attack to 1 as again it's a personal buff- based on the player.
The C'Thun buffs build up an aura that persists on the hero. C'Thun has a special inherent buff which ties it with the aura of the hero. This explains why, for example, when C'Thun is brought back by Doomcaller its stats are not reset and why if C'Thun is buffed or debuffed in any way(Aldor Peacekeeper for example) it keeps its stats when resurrected(since minions are cleared of all modifications upon death). Or why if it's silenced but later played again through any means it's huge again - because the buff that ties it to the aura is there again and nothing has actually happened with the aura.
The interesting question that can be brought is whether silencing a Lord Jaraxxus via Light's Champion would reset or even cut off the aura since it was proven that he can silence heroes but with no apparent effect.
Good question; good that this was already answered earlier. The Aura is attached to the player, not the character he plays. If it is, then C'Thun would not benefit from the cards, since the previous one (Warlock) was destroyed by Lord Jaraxxus. So silencing Jaraxxus would be no different from summoning Jaraxxus. The buffs are attached to the player.
And yes, the card text is a bit misleading. But it says: "your C'thun". When you Entomb him, he's no longer his c'thun, but yours. But the card text could be a bit better:
"C'thun summoned by you gain +2/+2" for example. This would be far less misleading and would make the card text much smaller. Since summoned implies also if it gets pulled from deck on board he gains it (that's the case as far as i know), this would not be a big change.

When you entomb C'Thun he becomes your C'Thun and is only affected by buffs you have given to him.
Priest vs Priest:
I buff my Cthun to 10/10, play it and my opponent Entombs it. He draws it and plays it and I entomb it right back.
What is my Cthun at?

So the ownership of the C'Thun is completely transferred.....hmm
I still find entomb kind of confusing, the current facts with it is:
And now this.....
