So here is (hopefully) the final result of a lot of experimentation, failures and realizations, but of course it's always good to do some experimentation!
I present to you:
"The Kelemental Corpse"
The deck consist of a lot of Elemental synergy, Taunt, Windfury and Divine Shield minions.
The cards and why they're there:
As in any Dr. 2 (Prince Keleseth) deck you're gonna wanna mulligan for him completely and toss everything else away. That is not always correct!
If u are in an fast/aggressive matchup, you should just keep anything that will help you contest the board early on.
The deck is pretty straight forward, and possesses a large amount of significant threats, especially after the Prince has buffed the deck. Cards like Blazecaller , Cobalt Scalebane and Stormwatcher are not very pleasant to deal with especially when they're buffed AND you can probably suspect there's a Bonemare ready to buff them even bigger the next turn!
Corpsetaker herself is also very intimidating, and especially after the buff. A 4/4 Divine Shield with Taunt and Windfury is nothing i would like to leave up. She must be terrifying for priest! 4 attack, divine shield... I think this deck might be doing quite well against our dear friend Anduin.
Double Lightning Storm is what i have for clearing early trash, so the powerful minions do most of the work :)
Tar Creeper is as always a superb early Taunt, and Stonehill Defender just brings you more monsters to add for later, so he's cool.
Remember when u play your Elementals. They often rely on an Elemental being played the previous turn, so this is something to keep in mind. Example: Servant of Kalimos and Blazecaller
Cards worthy of mentioning:
Cobalt Scalebane - This card has proven itself worthy of being included in every minion based deck. It poses a great threat AND it survives Dragonfire Potion
Sunwalker - This card is just barely under the standard for being included in many decks, but with the fantastic Corpsetaker synergy there was really no question.
Servant of Kalimos - Keeps the Elementals coming, and that's certainly a good thing ;)
Earth Elemental - Also known as "The wall" in some communities, will give your opponent something to think about.
Jinyu Waterspeaker - Great card to utilize on damaged minions or your own face if you're getting low.
Stormwatcher - This guy is something your opponents is gonna wanna kill immidiately. Slamming this down next to a Cobalt Scalebane is pretty much game.
Bonemare is just sick. Stick this to one of the Windfury minions and it's bound to get ugly!
Al'Akir the Windlord - This card is the very root to the idea of putting Corpsetaker in Shaman. He has all the traits in one package and will often deliver the killing blow in a match.
Now that i have had some experience with it I can with confidence say that this deck is GREAT against Priest, Rogue and Paladin
Harder matchups are ZooLock and Agro Druid, where as Jade Druid is about 50/50.
Be a charm and try this deck! You will not regret it :)
Cheers :)
Good deck and thanks 4 the explanation!
Thank you for commenting :)
This deck is so... fat. My hand is usually full of (9-10 cards) with 5+ mana minions (usually more like 7+), which I cannot throw to board quick enough.
Try switching out some of the cards that "clog" up your hand with some of the cheaper cards that match the synergies of the deck. I've had this same issue a couple times, but it's not something i struggle with.
Hot Spring Guardian and 2nd Glacial Shard can be used to switch out some of the heavier Elementals.
Cheers :)
Cool deck. Don't have dust to craft the typical evolve Shaman types but was looking for a fun Shaman deck. This looks like it just may be that deck. Only done a couple battles so far but am enjoying it a lot and I only needed to craft 2 mana tide totems so only 200 dust which was really nice.
Thank you so much for commenting :) It's a different but fun deck for sure!
Cheers :D
