Keep Sunkeeper Tarim vs control and trust the deck to fetch you your 1 and 2 drops.
Alternate version (no Pirates, better against Priest):
- 1 Blessing of Kings, -2 Southsea Deckhand, -1 Patches the Pirate
+1 Consecration, +2 Divine Favor, +1 Tirion Fordring
Other tech choice: Dr. Boom vs Tirion Fordring
No Wickerflame Burnbristle and Corpsetaker? I've found them very good against both aggro and control because they're very hard to remove. I play them over the Stand Against Darkness and Spellbreaker. Stand seems too slow to get value with another combo card, and plus most board clears get rid of them anyway since a lot of priests are opting to run Pyro to get rid of divine shield dude boards.
Is Nerubian Unraveler an acceptable replacement for Loatheb? I dusted him because I never really planned on playing wild (though I did keep my other wild Pally cards) and happen to have an Unraveler so was wondering.
On second thought, it probably isn't. Loatheb is probably to avoid stuff like Blizzard and Holy Nova where the Unraveler wouldn't suffice in those scenarios.
I hate the pirate package here, so unreliable, I had better result with
+2 keeper of uldaman +1 bonemare
Very nice, thank you for sharing. I dropped the pirate package for the suggested 2x Divine Favor and Tirion Fordring, and Vinecleaver for Bonemare.
Thanks for your deck. I am now R3 and try to use this reach Legend.
I also do some changes and replacement on this.
Alternate version (no Pirates, better vs Priest):
- Pirates, - Blessing of Kings
+ 2 Divine Favor, + Consecration, + Tirion Fordring
no spikeridge steed?
Too slow
Control priest still seems to have a clear advantage over this deck in the upper ranks. Even at rank 2 they're still a hard counter to this deck. Any advice on them?
Seems like you're not playing this deck correctly. This deck should have a 50/50 chance against Priests. The key is to not use too much card so you don't lose on their card advantages to their boardclears. Every hero power spam threatens to become huge later on, and you can refill the board very efficiently, so use your resources wisely. Loatheb is a key card as well, use it when you need to lock the board up for on-board lethal or setup a big combo next turn.
R9-R4 with 4 losses. Feels good man.
This deck destroys tempo rogue
I enjoyed playing dude paladin a few seasons ago and I'd like to play it again (I have no cards for this currently, all dusted) but why there has to be Patches in almost every deck? Why? I'd like to play this deck, but surely without pirate package. Or is it that good?
Yeah it's just that good.
I told myself I'd never craft Patches (weak card, does nothing, that's my opinion, won't change it) because I stopped playing Pirate Warrior before MSG because I saw how ridicolous this deck is. I don't play OP decks, no fun at all. But I'll consider that.
This just got me from rank 15 3 stars to rank 11 1 stars on NA with a lot better success than my previous aggro shaman and nzoth warrior attempts.
Good to hear mate!
First impression: This is stupid as hell
Next impression; If it's stupid but it works, it ain't stupid
Nice fresh take
Nice deck m8, you think justicar is to slow?
Yes she is
