Introduction
Hello! I'm James1, a 13 times EU legend player, legend proof in spoiler and across my other decks . This deck is Miracle Malygos Rogue or elegance. Its original conception was before pre-naxx and was created by firebat. The deck has had its ups and down over the years, with various card releases and nerfs. But with the release of Tomb Pillager it's back in full force.
The decks main focus is board control, Gadgetzan Auctioneer draw and a spell power damage finisher. The win condition is typically Malygos, Sinister Strike , Preparation and a number of other damage spells. Before Blackrock Mountain Preparation had to be saved for Malygos combo, however, with the addition of Emperor Thaurissan your spells and malygos can be discounted - allowing for more Uninteractive fun. mage of the list in spoiler below.
League of explores brought Tomb Pillager which finally revived Gadgetzan Auctioneer draw engine. More exciting, Tomb Pillager also allows for consistent coin Emperor Thaurissan play on turn 5. Reducing your and by 1 and creating insane turn 6 Gadgetzan Auctioneer auctioneer turns. Finally you can also save tomb coins for addition mana for Malygos OTK.
Sinister Strike this is definitely a good card for the deck. At the moment i dont recommend cutting it for Conceal. You really want that extra reach with Sinister Strike in control match ups
Play guide
Generally I encourage people watch pro players piloting the deck. Superjj102 and CosplayGrill are to very good players of Malygos Miracle. Click their names for the twitch link and check their VODs.
Its is important to use removal to maintain board control in aggro/ midrange matches, while saving as many damage spells for Malygos in heavy control match ups like Control Warrior and Priest.
Mulligan
Never keep Malygos or Sinister Strike in opening hand. If You have a good hand for the match up its okay to keep cycle cards like Shiv and Fan of Knives.
Vs control decks like warrior and priest you want to keep Tomb Pillager , Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Azure Drake in your opening hand.
Any thoughts or improvement feel free to post.
i am playing with one spirnt and one Auctioneer and i prefer that over 2 sprints
Opened up a Malygos recently, so I found this deck while looking for something to put him in.
Made a few minor adjustments, and it feels very solid. Don't have enough data to tell if it's better or worse than Oil, but it's pretty damn good. My current winrate is positive and it's a TON of fun to play. Pulled off a 34 damage combo for lethal on a control warrior the other day.
Took out Edwin VanCleef, one Fan of Knives, one Gadgetzan Auctioneer and the Clockwork Gnome.
+1 Conceal, for synergy with Emperor Thaurissan, Gadgetzan Auctioneer, or Malygos.
+1 Sprint for whenever my hand needs refilling. This deck needs your hand to be at 7-9 cards almost constantly, in order to get full value out of Thaurissan even if he only sticks around for a turn. Gadgetzan does not fill up your hand, it only cycles. Sprint is for getting your hand to 7-9 cards, Gadgetzan is for keeping it at that amount.
+1 Sinister Strike for extra reach. Getting both SS's mana cost reduced can become "0 Mana - do 16 damage" easily. You'll need another, trust me.
Lastly, +1 Sludge Belcher. Healbot and Belcher are your defenses. Healbot keeps you safe from spells (Pyroblast, Fireball), and Belcher keeps you safe from minion damage (Druid combo, Aggro decks), but they can do a little bit of both.
I love deck with your changes :) thanks!
Glad you like it. Enjoy!
Thanks for the update, it's really interesting. Never wanted to include Sprint because it obviously burns a Preparation for Malygos combo, but now with Emperor Thaurissan, I agree that having 4 more cards in hand is better than keeping a prep.
I usually trade easily with Hunters so I don't see the need of Clockwork Gnome, since it almost always gets killed by the hero power the turn after I put him. I have 2 Earthen Ring Farseer and a Sludge Belcher to contain aggro decks though.
I recently added back Conceal to my list because it comboes so well with Emperor Thaurissan. I love Edwin VanCleef too much to take him off (I started playing Miracle Rogue more than one year ago because of him). And I prefer Trade Prince Gallywix over Loatheb. He trades with Emperor Thaurissan too and can give you more spells which is the point of the deck. I agree that Loatheb and Dr. Boom are OP and increase you chances of winning, but I'd rather lose with style :D.
Should there be a room for Conceal?
That is hearthstone! Big thumbs up! Nothing more to say.
Hey there, I know it's been a while. Thanks for the deck! I've been having a lot of fun tweaking it, trying to make it viable. Been playing it the whole season. Tried versions with Hungry Dragons. Tried one out with Chromaggus. Tried versions with either 1 or 2 Sinister Strikes. Took your advice too, and tried out Boom and Loatheb. It's been crazy, more line-up changes than Fleetwood Mac.
My current version I think is the most stable I've had thus far, which is why I came back here. Try it out, it's really fun!
Kezan Mystic is amazing against Face Hunter and Tempo Mage. I've had opponents concede the turn I play it. Turn 3, get rid of their Mad Scientist, turn 4, drop the Kezan Mystic.
I'm still a little iffy about the 4-drop spot. I put in the Inventors for the cycling, trying to squeeze as much value out of Thaurissan as possible. I tried Hungry Dragons, but even with a dagger up, I couldn't consistently remove the 1-drops.
I switch around between 2 Shivs and 2 FoKs. FoK is really useful against aggro, and Zoo is making a comeback, so go figure.
Tell me what you think!
Gallywix sounds like fun, although I don't have him :( If I pull him from a pack I'll give him a try
Why do you run double blade flurry without any tinker's oils or assassin's blades? It seems a little bit weak. Do you find it is good enough with just a dagger and the occasional spellpower?
Poison + spell damage is usually as strong as flamestrike for less mana, plus you get to hit face.
Any chance of Gang Up?
I am thinking about it too. It probably can work pretty well with Thalnos.
I started playing oil rogue early this season and found it pretty fun.
I disenchanted some cards to craft Malygod and tried out this deck, because this deck kinda combines 2 of my fav decks, which is the Oil and Miracle Rogue (albeit this one is slower w/o the gadzeetan.)
Played 30+ games with this deck and even won againts a control warrior LOL!
Overall, i find this deck 8/10 fun wise and 7/10 strong (I have positive winrate with this deck)
Keep up the good work OP!
ez +1 for you :)
activate javascriptFun deck. Have a malygos so I'm trying out something similar to it - will post any thoughts I have in the coming days.
Very Solid deck.
I only have replaced a Preparation because I simply don't want to end up with x2 Preparation early.
I replaced it with a Headcrack. I like this card because when you plan your next moves and don't want to use 3 mana the current turn you can use Headcrack and slowly build your lethal (x2 times used with spell damage is 8 damage).
For the record I have 12-3 with this deck when I had no clue about Rogue. (My Rogue is 24 level)
Hey I love to play rogue and I love the card , Malygos. But I'm so bad with it.. Do you have a gameplay guide or highlight or.. something? I'm been trying out Miracle rogue and Malygos rogue . Dropped from rank 7 to 10. Soon 11.
What program is the one u record win % rates?
I'll definitely craft Malygos if Leeroy is nerfed. Still miracle.
